Danesh Razvi as Kabir is swoon-worthy yet wins hearts with his vulnerable, raw, eager portrayal. The background music, cinematography all help too
That background music hits badly
Oh, that boy had more than nice eyes!😊
Hahaha i swear♥️😍
I feel so bad for Kabir....
Lata said that Kabir was lost in his dreams... But I think he was already struggling in his family,he did not find love and peace there,so it was quite obvious why he was always into University's activities...lost in some sort of work always...
I feel sad for him ...He was such a gentleman ...n he deserved her love❤️🧡💛
She stops by the shoe shop, looks at one of the pairs and says, "I have no reason to like him (Kabir)." Was that a subtle hint on whom she's going to end up with finally?! 🔥🥴
Maybe director wants to give hint
Ughh righttt
I felt so betrayed by the storyline. I personally think the ending would have been better with Lata fighting for her love with Kabir. Her giving in to her mother's schemes is just sad and I don't think brides happily accepts an arranged partner just like that and go off into the sunset(on a train ride in this case) happily ever after. What a defeat i feel! Of course, given the time period, what happened was a more likelier outcome but so much creative liberty was wasted on that ending that made me regret every second invested in watching that series.
Spoiler alert
Exactly. I thought that she would at least be disappointed by the kiss with the shoemaker, since there was no real spark like with Kabir. Kinda made it not believable and gave her character not enough depth. I couldn't understand why she chose harish without any doubts...?
@@Chupia3006 exactly right. She felt the lack of spark when she kissed Amit and she could only see Kabir. That must have meant something but apparently it didn't to the writer who dismissed the entire portion later on in the story.
@@arshanlyngdoh3343 kabir never put her wishes or her individuality first. Haresh did. That's why she fell in love with him. And that kiss at the end... she loved him by then. So there was definitely a spark in there by then
Can you pls tell me what happened to kabir..I am sri lankan I can't understand hindi.
@@hdj7238 She marries Harish. Kabir sees the ceremony from a distance and rides away on his bike into the distance - heartbroken
'One pair is enough' is very beautiful expression. Did Vikram Seth also wrote the same in the book ? I wonder ! But Danesh Razvi has not only kind eyes but a bewitching smile reminiscent of Rajesh Khanna in his early films. Razvi has a long way to go. But he should.
Yes, the author has mentioned that in the book
Of All the young 500 plus ladies seen by Mira N, to have selected Tanya Maniktala is a serendipity event as Lata could not have been better portrayed. Tanya has the intelligence to bring out her best to make Lata, the most likeable heroine not only cause she looked Gorgeous but also as an intelligent, educated, cultured individual, able to relate nicely to everyone encountered. She also has a strong individual and unique personality that was a reflection of Tanya herself.
The extraordinary crew of A Suitable Boy’ enable Tanya to produce and present Lata, the true heroine, perhaps to be the epitome of the Indian Girl, Daughter and future Wife is a remarkable feat. Tanya is lucky to a very supportive family band siblings, but she is very level headed, down to earth, considerate with a friendly personality that exudes
... the essence of a better person, who is down to earth making the difference to this outstanding production excel, together with the exceptionally capable and talented Production Crew.
Well done the BBC, Mira N, Tanya M plus All the actors and support staff
In this scene you can find all three boys hint.. she read poetry book ( Amit )
She look at shoes ( harish) and kabir said already said he is history student in university.... In all show whenever I lata character came its like she should there for long time😍
Danesh Razvi is perfect. No one can change my mind
After reading the book, I wasn't sure about watching the series, but the bbc have done a good job. Very atmospheric . So far, I like it.
What about accent
I have rewatched this at least 15x by now !! I love this so much!
Haha yes me too! There's something so attractive about the vintage cinematography and Urdu ghazals😭😭😭
She has wronged Kabir. She was always wrapped up in her thoughts, which is fine! But she should have tried to understand his side. I hated it when he came to the see her one last time at the wedding. She has wronged him bad.
Yes 💔💔
@Pooja Agarwal yes agreed
Can you please tell me what happened to kabir
You are absolutely right
@Unpopular Man maaf kr bhai. I have lived in defence colony whole my life. Inter faith is very common thing here. Get a life
A brilliantly written novel can't be better picturized than this one...Every single character shines like a bright star make u fall in love with them... Situations of that times still resonates with the current times... making watching experience more beautiful
When she ask don't you like him, she was looking at shoes
Well , i have just finished the series and mesmerized by the beauty of Lata and the whole series.
I’ve started watching the series and
I like him the best, and I like what he brings out of Lata. But the interfaith relationship part would not be easy.
I like Amit, he’s charming but not sure if he should be with Lata.
And the last guy is sweet and determination to prove himself. But also don’t know if he’s right for Lata.
The shoe maker only will marry her
I felt so betrayed by the storyline. I personally think the ending would have been better with Lata fighting for her love with Kabir. Her giving in to her mother's schemes is just sad and I don't think brides happily accepts an arranged partner just like that and go off into the sunset(on a train ride in this case) happily ever after. Kabir Duranni 💕 man I love him !!
“Love jihad”
Ending is 💔
They belonged together
Oh my god!! such authencity in romance!!
The sitar sounds from 1.07 is beautifull❤
She reads how the modulus of z gives the distance from the origin O, and he tells her it's pretty advance stuff..? Especially when it's written in the middle of the textbool haha
😂
It used to be advanced stuff. Check out the MIT entrance papers from the early 1900s…they’re as easy as a 9th class exam today.
gosh, he is cute isn't he? :D
Yes very cute😍
Yes
She is soooooo beautiful
He is so handsome 😍

Plz up load the full movie. I searched for a long time
A fascinating story which makes me want to read the book.
Tanya will outshine anyone else, and without a doubt, they look beautiful together, but when she is with Ritvik, they are on another level.
I'm swooning already 😍
reading this novel know and in joying about the story. cant wait to watch scence for excitement.
Oh! Modulus of z and the distance from the origin! Complex number she was talking about!
Please give full document

Story on India: Musical instrument 'Sitar' or Bollywood song starts playing in the background along with a yellow filter. Thanks to the series team there is a very little stereotyped accent by the characters
Come on.. how many Bollywood movies you hear this sitar music? Tell me 5 movies in last 20 years..?
@@himesh5869 its a western stereotype whenever they represent India on film. You won't find it in bollywood cinema

Lata seems to like/love everyone..What was the point of a love rectangle+++?
Guys, do you know where I can watch this online ?
@@vigneshvijayakumar2286 how the heck is that irony? You need a licence to watch it.
Netflix
I love this film already
Sad for Kabir 💔
Nobody converses like this in India.
👍🥰
At 2:01 "i have no reason to liki him"..then staring on shoes..what's that mean
2:05, when you inject your lips with fillers, it looks like you have a foam moustache.
Kabir would have been my choice. He was such a gentleman ❤
Typical background music
Pretty though
Series name?
A suitable boy
I really want to watch this show how can I watch in India???

It is set in a classical Indian setting🇮🇳💕
But I stil can't figure out what this video is all about?
All about insulting our Indian Culture and promoting Love jihad
@@neethamahalatkar7675 wtaf bru?
It's set in the year 1950 as per the novel
He looks like an indian dan stevens
@Ssss Ssss what do you mean? Any Indian can take a look at him and recognise that he is a desi, possibly Indian. You are clouded by stereotypes. India is not a homogenous society in terms of looks.

The gentrification of South Asians and their culture. Thank you BBC
this isnt gentrification and isn't it good seeing other cultures from your British sofa? :)))
@@bxlis I disagree. Would love to see more authentic, culturally inspired dramas but I can do without the Jane Austen imitation.
HappyandAtheist haven’t you seen Hamilton and all it’s success? There’s only 1 lead caucasian character. Minority does equate to less interesting.
Y Mirza it’s an adaption of a novel set in 1950’s .. Also much more realistic than any Bollywood romance .. Jane Austen did forget to include religion in her novels 😀
HappyandAtheist idiot they have adopted a novel - so maybe read it and then give your comments 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
just no
I don't want to judge a book by its cover but when i heard his accent I instantly went to his father works in a call centre in India.
Am i the only one who's confused why did bbc cast indian actors insted of british south asian actors
They were the better choice. Much more authentic and connected with the milieu and culture the story is set in. Fluent in the language the characters are supposed to speak.
Message for world their are also other religion Rather than Islam
Other countries doesn't care about Hindu sikh
There is a urgent need of world organization for combined Hindu Sikh Jain by India like OIC
Because there is no such powerful organization in world for these religion which have great influence in India
This organization will ensure Reformation of religious sites and ensure safety of these minorities in other countries and spread culture of these religion 🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳
Out of mind
Stop crying too much for things that are unrelated to the video.
Or better dump this in some Religious fanatic videos.
