Okay, when I saw the Swatches of the perception palette next to the born to run, my mouth dropped. You definitely saved me from repurchasing the exact same shades! The perception palette is my all time favorite Colourpop palette too sooo I guess I just saved $50 ☺️ however I will say that the packaging of the urban decay is so unique and pretty!
There are many shades in the urban decay that aren't in the color pop. The more muted shades. Baja and still shot are something special. Not sure if they're in the color pop. Thought I'd mention.

This was fun to watch because this is the first time I've played with a palette for months before your tutorials. Your eye for how some colors bring out aspects of others is so valuable! I find myself saying, "Oh! That makes perfect sense! Why did I not see that?" Using Baja as not just a crease color, but to connect Ignite (used wet!) to the outer lid, while adding more dimension. I love Blaze, but having you name the different reflects, it makes perfect sense to use it with Wildheart. I love how you do colorful looks that are classy and flattering, never garish. There are some reviews out there where they slap on every shade in the palette. That's not helpful.
Damn now I want the Perception palette in my life! Loved the 2nd and 3rd looks, but the 1st one had a flawless gradient that was so si satisfying to look at

I was debating on whether I should buy this palette or nah in the past few months. I’m seriously super tempted to buy it now cause of your review!! Even Kathleen Lights mentioned it in her 2018 favorites video saying that it’s the best eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay. I think God is giving me a sign lol xD
I have different views from almost everyone in the comment section 😂 i prefer the born to run over the perception palette purely because of their colour range. It's very impractical for me to own perception as half of the palette is really colourful and fun. I am a professional accountant and it's not practical for me to own something like that. The born to run has a better range of wearable shades, pops of orange and purple is fine. Little bit of fun shades as well on days where I could unleash my inner artist 😏 even the Jaclyn Hill palette is pretty impractical for me as most shades are really dark and colourful, too large for my liking. It's just a personal opinion 😶
I’m so glad you brought up the Jaclyn Hill palette! It was hard for me to justify the UD born to run because the JH palette has so many wearable and fun shades. But I find myself never reaching for it because it’s too colorful and too large. Im glad I am not alone in this feeling and maybe I will continue to consider the UD palette.

Great video, i haven't used my BTR palette in a while, but i feel inspired to pick it up again! Punk is also a repeat shadow, it's in the UD x Gwen Stefani palette, not so relevant maybe, because that one is LE (it's also not exactly the same as the shade in the BTR palette either, but i thought i would mention it) I always feel so inspired by your looks :)

quality wise i think they are very similar! packaging wise urban decay is much much nicer and the mirror is nicer too!
