If the background isn't disappearing after applying the B&W Comic 2 effect, do this -
Just select the hand and try different blending modes. Matt here used Overlay, but in my case, that didn't work. After I applied Hard Light, then my background got removed.

for me it worked for the hand first apply the effect, than compound it and afterwords apply to the compound clip the overlay effect

For those u don't get their background disappear what actually happen is you have to drop that cartoon effect onto the hand overlay 😂 i also didn't do that and wasted an hour but i learn tell me if it yelps❤

On Mac, you can export an Apple ProRes 4444 file and that’ll give you an alpha export. Assuming you don’t have a background on.
