I have a heart condition that causes spikes in my heart rate. It feels similar to anxiety/panic attack HR spikes which are exhausting and cause that oh so lovely brain fog. There's not enough blood getting to the brain during heart rate spikes, be it anxiety induced or some other illness that causes those spikes. It's beating so fast that it pumps the blood back out of the brain before it can even provide the needed oxygen and nutrients to the brain and extremities. It's tough being sick. Add in PTSD from past traum, and I could relate to this song on several different levels.

The five months of radio silence might have something to do with that. Look at you, you realized there was a new song only a week after it released, judging by the moment you made this comment. Hopefully, other subs will eventually notice it.
@@legrandliseurtri7495 The comment date doesn't coincide with my first listen of the song and the only reason i posted was because i suspect YT is messing up again. Also most bands don't release new content only every 1 or 2 years (at best) so the "radio silence" shouldn't have anything to do with it.
@@emdea This isn't a band, this is a youtube channel, and from my experience most music youtube channel release 6-7 songs every year-less than Veela's usual schedule(ex:last year, she released 12(!) songs). Plus, it wasn't just that she didn't release new songs, it's also that she didn't say anything about it during that whole time(at least on youtube, maybe she talked about it on social medias), there just suddendly was a new song without any warnings, and I was starting to wonder if she had created a new channel or something.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure she had good reasons for that, those last few months were difficult for everybody and if you add some bad event in your personnal life, I can understand that keeping your viewers informed isn't on the top of your priorities. It's just that you asked for an explanation and this is the most likely one if you ask me.
To chime in on this here too - I think that youtube views for smaller channels have gone down dramatically since I started way back in 2008. I don't really judge how my engagement is by youtube views anymore, Spotify analytics seem to reflect the reality of how many people are listening a little better. I'm doing as well financially as I did ten years ago even with a fraction of the youtube views, mostly because I get paid more for Spotify streams than youtube plays. This is still my full time job. Idk just some insight from my side and something to keep in mind when maybe some of your fav indie artists are getting shit views on youtube but dont seem to care (like me) haha. They're probably just doing really well on Spotify. I have gone on little hiatuses before, usually when there's a bad family emergency or event (when my dad died in 2015, and 2020 when my dog died + covid) and that doesn't really make much of a difference in my overall revenue but does affect how much youtube pushes my content out. I'm not surprised that people don't get my notifications for a while after a hiatus. LOL that was a super long winded reply... TL;DR - youtube views dont matter, spotify streams do and I'm still doing well :)
