I feel like the problem is all the characters are good at something and aren't as bad is a tier that would be lower than B if there were any characters below B, when the game gets bigger, it'll go back to the general S,A,B,C,D,E

Luocha feels like the best character in the game right now. So much value. Skill points friendly, aoe heal, massive heals, auto heals to prevent characters from dying, debuffs, cleanses, and aoe shield break with ult.
Erudition characters in general are in kind of a tough spot, because their kits are designed to hit all the enemies on the field so their damage gets scaled back to compensate. Jing Yuan feels much better than most Erudition units, though, because the Lightning Lord still does significant damage when it drops all its stacks on one target so he feels more well rounded than a character like Himeko.
Yeah he feels like an all rounded character in terms of dmg even though nothing crazy. His follow up can still deal really good dmg to single enemy while only slightly behind when there's many enemies cause adjacent dmg isn't that high. And his skill and ult did a lot of dmg when there's more than 2 enemies. So he'll always be in a weird position when it comes to dmg.

I have her at E6 Pair her with bronya and you can vaporize any boss with phys weakness bar in 1 single turn. And when they're weakness broken she does a substantial amount of damage
Yeah one of character that can make we use yukong skill every single turn, and get a lot of value out of it. My personal go to team are Clara luocha tingyun yukong.

one thing to add on, Clara is definitely SS now with Luocha added to the game, Luocha Clara makes it almost impossible for your team to die, if you add March it is even better. Yukong, Luocha and Clara is really broken since Clara's additional attacks don't cost turns, these three are so OP that you don't even need a third team member, and she doesn't use her skills a lot, so she fits in almost any team as a secondary damage dealer as well
Pela E6 not mentioned? I mean she with SW free lightcone can make a spammy DEF shred with no down time especially with E2, she deserves to be A or S Tier (she has high value with AOE chatacters such as Blade and Jing Yuan so she can have a similar value to SW)

Jing Yuan does have many flaws compared to the other limited 5 stars we have. My only problem I have with him is the lightning lord getting pushed back because of CC, but otherwise hes still very usable. Also his lightning lord just looks so badass that Ill probably keep playing him regardless of powercreep
my problem is when i build jingyuan fast, there are many times where ll goes over 10 stacks, and cc also adds up into that. to fix both cc problem(kindof) and the punishment when using speedy jingyuan is to make his LL attack once it reaches 10 stacks.
Lots of cons for jy for me and they far outweigh the his pros. LL is too restrictive and we have little control over him and the good teams for jy are skill point negative and the minimum investment to make him atleast comparable to other dps characters is sad, i am really a fan of jy as a character and his character design is top tier and the animations are very good too currently the best animations for playable characters currently.
I have JY's LC and he is so good. Same with you, my only gripe with him is that his LL gets cancelled out when JY gets CC'ed. Hoyoverse should have not designed it that way coz its a clear waste of LL buildup. A bit unfair to be honest.
@@lakersouthpawsame here. When they give QQ as a free 4 star unit, i try and fell in love with her unique gameplay. I even pull JY lightcone for her instead JY himself and boy it was the best decision ever!
I would have a few little differences with this tierlist but the one I dislike is that Clara is so low in the tierlist, of course she needs to get hit and a healer but basically does a lot of damage, many times out damages my Jing Yuan who I have with his sig lc and better stats. Getting hit is not that huge of a problem when there are multiple enemies and many bosses do have AoE. She pairs really well with Luocha (like Blade). If you get her ult, she doesn't need to get hit but if you build the team around her, she is having a better time to beat higher MoC and the new forgotten hall than Jing Yuan. I forgot to include Pela's enemies buff dispel, is getting better and useful in MoC. If you know how to use Yukong, she is actually good. I would say to move those 2, one tier up and Clara right behind Geppard. Anything else, good tierlist.
agree with pela because of her being the only 4star unit that can def break, and being the only unit with a big aoe def break. maybe later on she will be powercrept but she can be placed at s atleast. yukong's case is a bit different, sure you can spend time correctly speedtuning her, but at the end of the day, she will still be one of the sp heaviest characters to be consistent at e0, that alone restricts her team building capabilities comared to others like asta and tingyun. 2nd she solely provides damage buffs and that's it, making other units outclass her when building our current dps rosters as they provide important utilities such as speed and energy.
@@applyinggaming9529 but even if she consumes a lot, she is easy to build and the buffs she can give, you can use the buffs with any character regardless of the speed optimization if you use the ultimate skill.
Sushang is really good especially if you don't have seele. Heck, even i who have seele use her too. What i think is a little underrated is herta. If you have himeko enemies pretty much won't get a chance to move because of their follow up attacks lol. I don't know if she can be good with other characters though.
He didn't even bring up an E6 sushang. Which can easily be on par with e0 Seele. His work isn't normally this shitty. That mech arena ad seemed to be the most coherent portion.

I really like Yukong, I wish I had her Eidolons 😫 and I plan to build Qinque eventually since i need another Quantum besides Seele. Right now I'm focusing on relics for Seele and Welt, and traces for Yukong.

I think your tier list might benefit from a distinction on roles for the characters. For example, while bailu and Gerard are the next best sustain units after luocha, they probably will not be stepping up your ability to do MoC as much as an ss tier dps. Additionally, I think welt and clara are a bit under appreciated considering they can clear MoC at three stars as hyper carries, plus they bring other utility in addition to that.
I think Clara should be at least ss the dmg she does on her counters is insane she carried me through a lot of the moc stages. Pair her up with march tingyun and bailu is crazy.
Sampo has quickly become a favorite of mine. I have him doing 3400 attack. 50% break effect. 75% hit rate.. Just need his speed up Edit: DoT cannot crit so those two stats are useless.

I think Jing Yuan needs a new relic set that focuses heavily on follow up attack damage. This will also boost the potential of Clara and Himeko. I think this will only happen if there will be a new 5 star character with a follow up attack abilities in the future.
Started yesterday. Got Bronya from discount banner. Lost 90 pity on Bailu for him.I have to many supports as I have Natasha also. I'm very confused on what to do. I have Hook or Serval and female MC I would use. I'm very sad. And not sure what to do for my account. I'm leveling March 7th and I'm confused on what units I should focus on. Please help.
Generally the light cone is going to be the better investment unless the e1 is nuts. Take Blade for example. His e1 is something like 15% damage increase, yet his lightcone is around 25%.
I feel like there was definitely more updates that needed to be made with a few characters, but I did like the inclusion of some of the characters with E6.
I agree with JingYuan, he’s good, but only when he’s well built and the whole team buffs him. Btw, Seele is better because SilverWolf is also quantum, I think. SilverWolf is absolutely top support, anyone who fits SilverWolf ascends
@@applyinggaming9529 exactly, almost every main attacker gets better with SilverWolf, including JingYuan. However, consider SilverWolf’ skill, it’s better to limit the team elements to two or just one (quantum). Which makes only few characters work the best with SilverWolf
It’s crazy that seele was already the best unit in the game before silver wolf existed. That combo will probably be the best in the game for a long time
Also if you dont have JY’s light cone, your dmg is so hampered. There aren’t many good F2P Erudition cones and JY’s cone blows all other F2P out of the water. He gained like 25-30% more dmg with his signature cone compared to a F2P cone.

@@suoeiya Not arguably, he is the worst. Seele and blade are straight up better as DPS, SW and Luocha provide insane values as support. JY not only is SP negative, requires way more effort than other DPS, needs LC, and needs the whole team to be built around him - with Tingyun basically stuck with him.
adding a tailored-made relic for jingyuan wont fix his core gameplay problem... He got too many major downsides like LL not triggering when CC'd, too slow an squishy an SP hungry.. You know how to fix him? lets see... - Make his LL proc when it reaches 10 stack - Make his LL still proc even when CC'd - LL deals full dmg on 3 targets - Make Skill not consuming SP under certain circumstances like After using ULT etc so he became SP neutral Without the things i've said above, Jingyuan is like a inferior version of Blade but Lightning elem with bad gimmicks, not to mention he needs his LC for optimal dmg. Also on 5+ targets, Himeko outdmg him by significant amount when using JY LC.
For people that don't have blade,yangqing,jing yuan, I recomend to build suchang. With SW on your team, you can place her to seele or sushang team based on the enemies weaknesses. These 3 basically carry me to moc7 with all 3 stars. Pela is a must build if you don't have luocha. I'm not a f2p, but my luck is terrible. I have gepard, but march can be used too.
Because JY basically has Raiden's ability, if they copy and paste character design, is there no chance of a SR Raiden? I would definitely invest in the Lightning Goddess.
I was really considering pulling for Luocha, but i wanted to be sure i had enough for Kafka and i already had Bailu. Luckily i got Blade in very few pulls, but i really regret not getting Luocha.
Good video. I agree with most of the places for every character. I desagree with the place of Pela, with the event lightcone she can ult every 2 turns AND is on of the few supports que works well with Blade unlike most of harmony characters. I also desagree with the place of Clara, after see so many content creators I see most of the ppl playing Clara all the time, maybe even more than JingYuan. On top of that she can be played as a tank filling two roles at the same time.

I want to ask a question. Do you think there will ever be a better dps than Seele or Blade? Let me elaborate. Both of this dps are already so op that is incredible. Seele just crashes every type of enemies event those who don't have Quantum weakness and is by far the best single enemy damage dealer. Blade is a really high consistent dps dealer and is also tanky. So right now they are the top of HSR, they already feel broken af even without their best unit supports. So if they were to introduce someone even stronger wouldn't that break the game even more? Or maybe in order to do so they will make this characters less stronger in future patch? Because rifht now i feel that if they were to introduce someone even stronger than them it would kill the game completely
Blade is a lot of fun to use but im not super impressed with his damage output quite yet. I have decent stats on him right now. 68% CR and 124% CD at base which puts him slightly below my Jing Yuan but he puts out about 1/3rd of the damage. Now he has room to grow because i just finished the story mission so i dont have his tangent traces which hold 24% hp and 12% crit rate. Im also missing his light cone and my secret vow cone is only S2. However i dont think fixing either of those will close the gap in their power levels. Even if i got a CD chest piece with good CR stats i still dont think he would out damage Jing.
i pulled for luocha with my kafka savings and i must say, getting him was probably the best decision ive done in this game.. now lets hope i still get kafka :')

my opinions on the tier list: pretty good except i'd move pela up jing yuan kinda sad rn, completely powercrept by blade a lot of people have said erudition just needs a relic set and stuff, and i have to agree. if erudition had a relic set, then jing and himeko would be more useful than they are rn and would actually be good, especially jing yuan who would be near the top most likely
Clara in S tier is a crying shame honestly. I'm so glad I got her randomly on the standard banner. Nobody besides Seele comes even near her in my roster, and without her there is no way I would have gotten 22 stars this rotation and made it all the way to MoC 10. Her synergy with March and Luocha is downright stupid and let's you take on fights you otherwise wouldn't have a prayer of surviving. In my mind she's SS+ but I can see her losing a lot of value if you have both Blade and Seele.
I agree. Loucha Clara combo carried me to MOC 10. Her counters are just so OP and if you have loucha as a healer, she's just immune to death. If I want to lose my 50/50, I would gladly take Clara cons.
9:26 the best part of luocha isn’t even that he outheals everyone else, the best part is that the way he heals benefits a lot of the content in the game, like when you’re running abundance on the simulated universe, there’s many buffs that increase certain stat when someone heals, like increased speed and increased ATK for both the healer and the person that has been healed, and luocha heals by ticks, not a huge healing, so his healing is much more useful for applying buffs because he doesn’t spend skill points to get these buffs he can get then once one of your characters is below 50%, he heals a lot more, and on top of that his burst can squish some dmg if he manages to crit a bit, he’s like insane, skill point efficient, better healer, a better WAY TO HEAL (even if he gets frozen once that field is put man you’ll just never die), he deals substantially more dmg than the other healers, and then he can just apply healing buffs much much better. Not to mention the extra synergy, you run him with any erudition unit or clara, and they just become the healer of your party, specially with clara she gets attacked so often, so she can just not only dish out that much dmg, but also without the danger of fucking dying because of the hard agro she has, all that while also healing other party members, i think that SS+ has been VERY well deserved and i totally would have regret if i haven’t pulled for him literally LAST DAY with a couple hours remaining (i had guaranteed and pretty high pity so i just had to farm plenty wishes but i didn’t do that much content in the game at that point so oh boy was he coming)

Clara and loucha is such a immortal team also add tingyun for 100% uptime on ult and pela for aoe def shred it's definitely one of most broken teams for moc
@@haywoodjablome7822 Silverwolf does the same thing but better and her skill is very good. Pela's ult compensates for the rest of her mid moveset. If you're using that analogy then you can say that Asta is SS tier because she is the only major speed buffer in the game
As a Jing Yuan main I have been having problems using him bronya, and tingyuan together(I don’t have SW)so I could never really get the best out of him(especially since I don’t have his lightcone) I kinda regret pulling him in terms of of smooth gameplay, but I like him as a character(and he’s hot) so I might get his LC in the future, but for now I will pull for blade(and if I don’t get him I’ll just save for characters in the future) A little edit: Thanks for the advice!
I don't think the problem is the light cone... if what you're looking for is smoother gameplay, you need more speed. Try putting speed boots on him and putting dance dance dance on Tingyun. Another alternative would be to put Asta instead of Bronya. More speed = more turns = more stacks That way you have the bronya free to put on the other team along with Blade if you get him or with any other dps
I am Jing mains as well. I recommend just use Asta instead of Bronya. She will give him the speed he needs while being skill point plus. She will also buff TY speed so she generate more skill point and recharge herself faster to buff Jing. You will see the consistency of getting over 7 or 10 stacks Jing Yuan by having Asta in your team which is a big big difference. On top of that, because of Jing being faster, the LL will hit more often too. Once you get the rotation down, you can pretty much auto pilot. However it feel super good until he get CC-ed which makes you just want to reset the entire thing
You're going to have to build a whole team around Kafka. Blade fits into any team or he can be your carry. All depends on how much you want to invest in a new team or new unit.
Yea way I see it, Blade is more just raw damage. Always useful. Where Kafka is about applying DoT and making all effects go off at once. Idk imo Kafka is the way to go. She’ll bring new ways to play and new teams variations. Also her banner is wayyy better than Blade’s 🤷♂️ Luka looks sick 🦾

All characters are good tho, normally when you hear a C tier char you would think they're below average and hsr doesn't have much of that
pela is way too low for how useful she is, especially if you dont have luocha she's the only character who can deal with the sanctus medicus thingies

100%. Budget SW and her debuff is aoe. Give her SW event lightcone and ERR and you have her ult back in 2 turns

this way he won't be limited to long buffing supports like tingyun or asta, and not making his stats very restrictive

Getting hit is not that huge of a problem when there are multiple enemies and many bosses do have AoE. She pairs really well with Luocha (like Blade). If you get her ult, she doesn't need to get hit but if you build the team around her, she is having a better time to beat higher MoC and the new forgotten hall than Jing Yuan.
I forgot to include Pela's enemies buff dispel, is getting better and useful in MoC. If you know how to use Yukong, she is actually good.
I would say to move those 2, one tier up and Clara right behind Geppard.
Anything else, good tierlist.
agree with pela because of her being the only 4star unit that can def break, and being the only unit with a big aoe def break. maybe later on she will be powercrept but she can be placed at s atleast.
yukong's case is a bit different, sure you can spend time correctly speedtuning her, but at the end of the day, she will still be one of the sp heaviest characters to be consistent at e0, that alone restricts her team building capabilities comared to others like asta and tingyun. 2nd she solely provides damage buffs and that's it, making other units outclass her when building our current dps rosters as they provide important utilities such as speed and energy.

Sushang is so underrated , and she doesn't even need E6 , just het E1 makes her really good
Sushang is really good especially if you don't have seele. Heck, even i who have seele use her too. What i think is a little underrated is herta. If you have himeko enemies pretty much won't get a chance to move because of their follow up attacks lol. I don't know if she can be good with other characters though.

I really like Yukong, I wish I had her Eidolons 😫 and I plan to build Qinque eventually since i need another Quantum besides Seele. Right now I'm focusing on relics for Seele and Welt, and traces for Yukong.
Blade is literally the powercreep of JingYuan based on skill point management, consistent dps and stats reliability (relics)
On starrail it's not really direct powercreep since they're on different element

I think your tier list might benefit from a distinction on roles for the characters. For example, while bailu and Gerard are the next best sustain units after luocha, they probably will not be stepping up your ability to do MoC as much as an ss tier dps.
Additionally, I think welt and clara are a bit under appreciated considering they can clear MoC at three stars as hyper carries, plus they bring other utility in addition to that.
I think Clara should be at least ss the dmg she does on her counters is insane she carried me through a lot of the moc stages. Pair her up with march tingyun and bailu is crazy.
Sampo has quickly become a favorite of mine. I have him doing 3400 attack. 50% break effect. 75% hit rate.. Just need his speed up

I think Jing Yuan needs a new relic set that focuses heavily on follow up attack damage. This will also boost the potential of Clara and Himeko. I think this will only happen if there will be a new 5 star character with a follow up attack abilities in the future.

Generally the light cone is going to be the better investment unless the e1 is nuts. Take Blade for example. His e1 is something like 15% damage increase, yet his lightcone is around 25%.

Also if you dont have JY’s light cone, your dmg is so hampered. There aren’t many good F2P Erudition cones and JY’s cone blows all other F2P out of the water. He gained like 25-30% more dmg with his signature cone compared to a F2P cone.

JY not only is SP negative, requires way more effort than other DPS, needs LC, and needs the whole team to be built around him - with Tingyun basically stuck with him.
adding a tailored-made relic for jingyuan wont fix his core gameplay problem... He got too many major downsides like LL not triggering when CC'd, too slow an squishy an SP hungry.. You know how to fix him? lets see...
- Make his LL proc when it reaches 10 stack
- Make his LL still proc even when CC'd
- LL deals full dmg on 3 targets
- Make Skill not consuming SP under certain circumstances like After using ULT etc so he became SP neutral
Without the things i've said above, Jingyuan is like a inferior version of Blade but Lightning elem with bad gimmicks, not to mention he needs his LC for optimal dmg. Also on 5+ targets, Himeko outdmg him by significant amount when using JY LC.

For people that don't have blade,yangqing,jing yuan, I recomend to build suchang. With SW on your team, you can place her to seele or sushang team based on the enemies weaknesses. These 3 basically carry me to moc7 with all 3 stars. Pela is a must build if you don't have luocha. I'm not a f2p, but my luck is terrible. I have gepard, but march can be used too.

I want to ask a question. Do you think there will ever be a better dps than Seele or Blade? Let me elaborate. Both of this dps are already so op that is incredible. Seele just crashes every type of enemies event those who don't have Quantum weakness and is by far the best single enemy damage dealer. Blade is a really high consistent dps dealer and is also tanky. So right now they are the top of HSR, they already feel broken af even without their best unit supports. So if they were to introduce someone even stronger wouldn't that break the game even more? Or maybe in order to do so they will make this characters less stronger in future patch? Because rifht now i feel that if they were to introduce someone even stronger than them it would kill the game completely
Blade is a lot of fun to use but im not super impressed with his damage output quite yet. I have decent stats on him right now. 68% CR and 124% CD at base which puts him slightly below my Jing Yuan but he puts out about 1/3rd of the damage. Now he has room to grow because i just finished the story mission so i dont have his tangent traces which hold 24% hp and 12% crit rate. Im also missing his light cone and my secret vow cone is only S2. However i dont think fixing either of those will close the gap in their power levels. Even if i got a CD chest piece with good CR stats i still dont think he would out damage Jing.

Clara in S tier is a crying shame honestly. I'm so glad I got her randomly on the standard banner. Nobody besides Seele comes even near her in my roster, and without her there is no way I would have gotten 22 stars this rotation and made it all the way to MoC 10. Her synergy with March and Luocha is downright stupid and let's you take on fights you otherwise wouldn't have a prayer of surviving. In my mind she's SS+ but I can see her losing a lot of value if you have both Blade and Seele.
I agree. Loucha Clara combo carried me to MOC 10. Her counters are just so OP and if you have loucha as a healer, she's just immune to death. If I want to lose my 50/50, I would gladly take Clara cons.

9:26 the best part of luocha isn’t even that he outheals everyone else, the best part is that the way he heals benefits a lot of the content in the game, like when you’re running abundance on the simulated universe, there’s many buffs that increase certain stat when someone heals, like increased speed and increased ATK for both the healer and the person that has been healed, and luocha heals by ticks, not a huge healing, so his healing is much more useful for applying buffs because he doesn’t spend skill points to get these buffs he can get then once one of your characters is below 50%, he heals a lot more, and on top of that his burst can squish some dmg if he manages to crit a bit, he’s like insane, skill point efficient, better healer, a better WAY TO HEAL (even if he gets frozen once that field is put man you’ll just never die), he deals substantially more dmg than the other healers, and then he can just apply healing buffs much much better.
Not to mention the extra synergy, you run him with any erudition unit or clara, and they just become the healer of your party, specially with clara she gets attacked so often, so she can just not only dish out that much dmg, but also without the danger of fucking dying because of the hard agro she has, all that while also healing other party members, i think that SS+ has been VERY well deserved and i totally would have regret if i haven’t pulled for him literally LAST DAY with a couple hours remaining (i had guaranteed and pretty high pity so i just had to farm plenty wishes but i didn’t do that much content in the game at that point so oh boy was he coming)

Clara and loucha is such a immortal team also add tingyun for 100% uptime on ult and pela for aoe def shred it's definitely one of most broken teams for moc

As a Jing Yuan main I have been having problems using him bronya, and tingyuan together(I don’t have SW)so I could never really get the best out of him(especially since I don’t have his lightcone) I kinda regret pulling him in terms of of smooth gameplay, but I like him as a character(and he’s hot) so I might get his LC in the future, but for now I will pull for blade(and if I don’t get him I’ll just save for characters in the future)

I don't think the problem is the light cone... if what you're looking for is smoother gameplay, you need more speed. Try putting speed boots on him and putting dance dance dance on Tingyun. Another alternative would be to put Asta instead of Bronya. More speed = more turns = more stacks
That way you have the bronya free to put on the other team along with Blade if you get him or with any other dps
I am Jing mains as well. I recommend just use Asta instead of Bronya. She will give him the speed he needs while being skill point plus. She will also buff TY speed so she generate more skill point and recharge herself faster to buff Jing. You will see the consistency of getting over 7 or 10 stacks Jing Yuan by having Asta in your team which is a big big difference. On top of that, because of Jing being faster, the LL will hit more often too. Once you get the rotation down, you can pretty much auto pilot. However it feel super good until he get CC-ed which makes you just want to reset the entire thing

You're going to have to build a whole team around Kafka. Blade fits into any team or he can be your carry. All depends on how much you want to invest in a new team or new unit.
Yea way I see it, Blade is more just raw damage. Always useful. Where Kafka is about applying DoT and making all effects go off at once.
Idk imo Kafka is the way to go. She’ll bring new ways to play and new teams variations. Also her banner is wayyy better than Blade’s 🤷♂️ Luka looks sick 🦾
