Nice, a 2nd direct link between YVR and MNL, the other option being Philippine Airlines with their 777. Wonder if Air Canada will also ofter a future non-stop service between Toronto and Manila as well like Philippine Airlines?
I love the A330-900 NEO! And my first experience with it was (coincidentally) with Tap Air Portugal. The 2-4-2 layout in the economy cabin makes for a spacious and relaxed flight. I wish more airlines would choose this aircraft.
Hm ... Single isle flights from the U.S. to europe are not realy brand new ... Back in the 1st decade of this century I had been businnes-wise often in the "states" and I was booked on flight DL107 from JFK to FRA (and the corresponding flight the other way round) served by a B757 several times. So: I realy do not understand the huge noise caused by the A321XLR as a single isle plane nowadays. Maybe the distance covered by the Airbus is longer than a trip over the pond but we have seen increases in range again and again ...
I wonder about aspects of Air Canada's position regarding aircraft. As i understand it most of the aircraft on order are the 787-10 which don't have the range for the long transpacific routes. Plus they will soon need to replace their 777-200LRs which they use on YVR/SYD as well as YYZ/DEL.
How do airlines figure out if there's a profitable market for a certain route? This is probably a stupid question, but how does Air Canada determine if a route between Vancouver and Manila is going to work? They must have done some form of research before announcing a 4 times a week schedule to the public, right? How so?
Not sure if your question was meant seriously, but of course airlines do extensive market research before launching a new route. Finding out how many people have been travelling between Canada and the Philippines lately isn't exactly hard, is it, neither is having some pretty accurate projections for the years ahead - what's the tourism industry like in the Philippines? How many people from the Philippines live in Canada and can be expected to go and visit their relatives on a regular basis (and vice versa)? What is the presence of Canadian firms in the Philippines? What is the total investment of Canadian companies in the Philippines that may result in increased and more frequent need for business travel between the two destinations? Etc etc etc. It's not rocket science.
@@IncorrigibleBigotryin addition to what was said, sometimes it’s even simpler. Airlines usually know what connecting flights their passengers use. So if for example Air Canada flies to London and sees that half of the passengers get on a connecting flight to Paris, it might be viable to offer a direct flight to Paris (simplified example). Sometimes it’s also joint decisions with alliance partners who flies which routes at what time.
You should add chapters to the video or some sort of navigation so if someone clicks on your video they can watch the news they want to
Even Air India added 10 A350 family and 90 A320neo planes in their November order book
Actually, the order was booked in September..
Just confirmed yesterday
More good news for Airbus
I like when Airbus uses Windows XP in their flight tests.🤣

No Air India order video yet?
Will air canada be the next US carrier?
Hallelujah!!! I’m favored and blessed with $60,000 every week! Now I can afford anything and also support the work of God and the church.
Oh really? Tell me more!
This is what Melissa Jonas Richard does, she has changed my life.
After raising up to 60k trading with her, I bought a new house and car here in the US and also paid for my son’s (Oscar) surgery. Glory to God.shalom.
I know Melissa Jonas Richard, and I have also had success...
Absolutely! I have heard stories of people who started with little or no knowledge but managed to emerge victorious thanks to Melissa Jonas Richard.

@@jacobzimmermann59 Yes, it was indeed a serious question. Thank you for the extensive answer nonetheless.

@@MrSchwabentier It's quite simple after reading your and the other dude's reply. Thanks, man, now I'm one question smarter than I was yesterday! :)
