When I was in college I feel so awkward while I passed by a group of girls, they call on me telling me things like "hey handsome I know you wan't to see my cleavage, go ahead take a look" and they all laughed. Even as a child, I found the concept of spending your money on a woman, very foolish. When she is my girlfriend, sure. When she is my wife, sure. A stranger, though? No, I am not doing that.
If you are actually interested in me, you don't care if I take you to the opera or a walk in the park. All of my introductory dates are either a walk in the park, a walk in old town or some free event that is happening. I am always upfront with it. 80% of those dates have not resulted in a 2nd. Those that have gone past the first date, they never talk to me again. Because I will still not spend my money on her. I am so thankful for this type of content for young men and women today. No one explained things like this to me when I was younger and I was a horrible person to many men.
I had to learn all these lessons on my own mainly from God revealing my faults to me. I’ve never been so grateful for a beating in my life. God really had to humble me, and he did. The girl I use to be is now dead and God replaced her with a woman I love and respect much more.
It was the strangest experience in my life. When I was younger I was skinny and beautiful by the world’s standard, but I got extremely depressed and gained weight, I was probably close to 300lbs at my heaviest and I’m only 5’4”, so yeah bad combo. After being born again and God changing me from the inside out, I actually loved myself more at my heaviest than I did when I was young, beautiful and skinny. My joy and peace didn’t come from any external appearances, it came from God loving me. I finally prayed and told God that I wanted to lose weight, but not at the expense of my salvation or piece of mind. I told God I would gladly stay overweight and alone, if any of it meant I would regress to my old self. The thing I didn’t quite understand at that time is when Jesus does a work in you and you have truly been born again, you can’t revert back to your old ways. So I’m free in Jesus and I’ve lost just about all my weight, I’m currently fluctuating at 174-180 lbs.
I am so sorry to all men for my actions and the actions of other women like this around the world. As women we are babied all our lives and if you happen to be beautiful well that adds to the delusion that the world owes us. Hopefully many of these women will wake up, if not then life is going to hit them extremely hard. God Bless everyone and may God open all our eyes to our own blind spots, in Jesus name, Amen!
