I love Aneurin Barnard as Richard III. The real Richard was 19 and Anne Neville 16 when they married. So young! And poor child-Anne had been married already to the Bad Queen's horrible son, thanks to her own mother. Edward was at least 10 years older than Richard (and possibly illegitimate) and George was a couple of years older than Richard. Richard gave up many titles and lands to George in order to marry Anne, whom he'd known since childhood, so it very likely was a love marriage. Faye Marsay and Aneurin Barnard make a perfect Richard and Anne in my opinion. Just adorable to watch. Thank you for these great videos, Lostgirl!
Aneurin Bernard said they exhumed richard III during filiming. He was adamant to get it perfect. He even had night terrors and alleged he was haunted by the cursed king. I think in his case he was a good king. Betrayed by his own men. Not the shakespherian child murderer. Cumberbatch is a descendant of him too. And eulogized him. And played him in the hollow crown.
I don’t know how anyone could love Richard because he betrayed his brother, killed his sister in law’s brother, and his brother’s sons but I will admit the actor did a splendid job playing Richard. Great video!
No evidence that he killed his nephews. Even in the Tower of London they give three versions of who can gave the order - and we'll never know the truth.
The woodvilles delayed telling him of Edward IV’s death, immediately stock piled money & weapons, tried to take control of the Navy, tried to rush the uncrowned Prince to London to get him crowned to gain power of England, directly against Edward IV’s wishes, Richard wasn’t proactive in his actions against the Woodville’s, he was reactive.
Richard breaks my heart…500 years later he still does that
I’m still in love with this Richard ❤ like I knew how it was gonna end yet it still broke my heart

He's such a badass because he's a descendant of Rollo, the legendary viking warrior who became the first king of Normandy.

@@panteraxxii3074 Technically he is, because he is a plantagenet, whom descended from the norman dynasty so Rollo...

Richard 111 didn't kill his sister in law's brother (more likely it was King Edward's men), and there is NO PROOF than Richard killed his nephews.
