Its the synthesizer and the time right after post hardcore and the rise of elctronic music and raves at least in central texas this was the timing. Ravers and hip hop listeners change the song right at the electric guitar
Yeah, its officially confirmed, I can listen to Dance Gavin Dance for an eternity. If there is such a thing as the after life I hope they have a boombox and Dance Gavin Dance, that'd be nice.
"I'm waiting to see if it comes to me or if it's tied to a safe that just hit the sea floor." This has always been my favorite line in this song. It just resonates with me
3 years later lmao but between Kurt, Jonny, and Tilian i've always marked Tilian last while i dont know where to place kurt and jonny for second and first.
If we could only be.. in different places. I remember my brother turned this song on and I harmonized out of nowhere while he was singing, he thought it was amazing.
I love listening to this song on an overcast cold or rainy day with my sound canceling headphones on loud in the passenger seat as my mom drives me somewhere. It fits the mood perfectly and it's the best vibe ever. I don't live with her anymore but I used to listen to this song that way when she had to take me to school.
This is seriously DGD's best song in my opinion. This whole album is overlooked just because jonny wasn't on it. Its defintley their best muiscally the guitar parts are fucking amazing on this album and way more technical than any of the others .
this is my fav DGD song, i love this song listen to it everyday its helped me come out of the darkest places. i love this band for this song and i cant wait to see you guys april 3rd!!!
Im fucking ashamed to say this but this is the first time ive heard this album. When jonny left i was a bit bitter and didnt want to give the new stufff a chance. Its the greatest dgd album imo and all the songs fucking bang and are very memorable, this song is my favorite along with uneasy hearts. I apologize and hope im forgiven.
Kurt era dgd is the best era, don't get me wrong I like Jonny and tilian but something about. Kurt era dgd is just amazing. This is I'm my opinion their best album.
I think, and I could be wrong, Jon Mess does the screams for this cd and Happiness, but when they perform live (and the music videos "Tree Village" and "Me and Zoloft Get Along Just Fine"), Will did the screams.
im new to this band, and ive already given up trying to follow the band members cuz so many got replaced, it just confuses me now, so im just gonna listen to their music. No point in me trying to deal with the confusion of who was in the band before and now.
So do I brother. So do I. Saw Tilians first show along with a couple other shows from the tour and I knew it was never going to be the same. Obviously they’re doing great and have damn near gone main stream now, and good for them, but it’s just not the same for me anymore. Stopped listening after that first album with Tilian. I was a hardcore fan growing up, lived in sac as they were getting their start, spent a lot of time around them, and especially Jonny (which is another story in and of it self lmao)
DGD with Jonny was great, but DGD with Kurt Travis is damn near one of the most solid line ups any band has ever had. They did some phenomenal things together... and Kurt is one the nicest and coolest people on the entire planet. A lot Like Birds was fun too , with Kurt.
@RWSThe101 "On February 10, 2010, guitarist Zachary Garren was kicked out of Dance Gavin Dance due to personal differences with Will Swan." - Wikipedia's DGD page. I found an interview with Will Swan saying that it was about his girlfriend, I honestly don't remember where I saw it though.
Jon Mess did the screams on me and zoloft get along just fine. Mess left the band before the video was recorded so will just pretended it was him so there could at least be a face to match the voice for the video.
"Somethings flapping It's wings at me Someone's clapping I guess we're on tv" Sounds kinda like this recurring dream I have where I'm on a talk show/sitcom thing and they are about to raise the curtain to show my prize or something but I always wake up at that point or can't remember after the curtain starts rising. Sorry I'm stoned lol
I'm guessing you're meaning the singers, because not many of the other members have left. Jonny Craig sings in DGD's first 2 albums (Whatever I Say Is Royal Ocean, and Downtown Battle Mountain) he is replaced by Kurt Travis, and he sings in (Happiness, and Deathstar), Jonny Craig comes back in and sings Downtown Battle Mountain II. Which is their last album. He got kicked out of the band this year, and is now replaced with Tilian Pearson. Hope that clears some stuff up!
Such an underrated song.
vhjkcghk fuck yeah
one of my top 10 since it came out till this day
Its the synthesizer and the time right after post hardcore and the rise of elctronic music and raves at least in central texas this was the timing. Ravers and hip hop listeners change the song right at the electric guitar
@@Gson123456 i forgot how to spell sneeze thanks man

i wish we could go back in time

Hey dude, you still listen to DGD after 11 years? :D

I love Jon's delivery for that line.
Dudee yes
Real
Tilian is good but Kurt's vocals are like heaven to my ears man! I am in love with how he sings 3:56
3 years later lmao but between Kurt, Jonny, and Tilian i've always marked Tilian last while i dont know where to place kurt and jonny for second and first.
@@nsvsp3225 EASY Kurt era best era
The only thing Tilian is good at is blaming his acts of SA x2 on alcohol.
@@Ranchitup69 you do realize I made this comment 5 years ago right? Before any of that was even public knowledge??
This album is a masterpiece
César Ventura - Kilroy FN notice everyone says that about every Dgd album, Dgd is a masterpiece in as itself
César Ventura - Kilroy FN as is anything dgd haha
Yeah not bad, when coming off another masterpiece of DTBM1
not rly
Ryan Chain LMAO shut the fuck up bro this album is a masterpiece every single song
This song should have more views, its clearly one of their best songs.
the best but thats just me :3
Love this song... This whole album is just amazing. Wish more people knew and understood this kind of music
This song and its reprise are some of the best material Dance Gavin Dance ever made.
Easily one of the best songs from DGD. Of course all their songs are ridiculously good.
This has been my favorite song for the last 14 years
If we could only be.. in different places. I remember my brother turned this song on and I harmonized out of nowhere while he was singing, he thought it was amazing.
Favorite song off my favorite DGD album. Man Kurt's voice is soo good.

13 years later you are right. This album is a banger, especially with Caviar & Skyhook on it. I'm so glad those songs and this album exists.
still in love with this band almost 12 years later
First time I heard this song I was riding with my friend stoned out my mind......it was pure epicness!
If you're not listening to the reprise right after, you're doing it wrong.
Uneasy Hearts Weigh the Most goes perfectly right after thing song.
My favorite Kurt Travis songs especially with the reprise version added.
I'll always come back to this album and Downtown Battle Mountain.
can i get a loop of the beginning of this song for an hour? thatd make me so happy.
this is my fav DGD song, i love this song listen to it everyday its helped me come out of the darkest places. i love this band for this song and i cant wait to see you guys april 3rd!!!
April 3rd is my birthday

How'd he try to sound like Jonny and Tilian? He's always done his own thing.
Ok, but the question still stands.
Yeah that guy is high as fu k. They totally changed sounds. Sounds nothing like downtown battle mountain
Oh man, sometimes I start this song over a little under a minute just so I can hear this gorgeous intro the song has.
How can you not love this song??
"DID YOU MANAGE YOUR TIME?"❤️
that final verse.....
this is my favorite cd by them so amazing
Please understand.. This is a song that has an amazing build up, that leads us to a listening experience. Isn't that what music is about?
Are you trying to be deep? Its not working bro, go say that shit on some blog.
+Reno omg fuckin rekt 'em kid
Joshua Edward your so right!
This is my favorite song by DGD 💙
Underrated DGD song...Kurts voice is so soothing
His voice, his voice
Kurt era dgd is the best era, don't get me wrong I like Jonny and tilian but something about. Kurt era dgd is just amazing. This is I'm my opinion their best album.
I remember the first time DGD came to my city i was grounded so i couldnt go and my emo ass listened to this song all night and cried 🤣
This is the only one band I can never get tired of.
Love this song from them!!!
Still my favorite DGD song and probably most underrated. I wish they'd bring Kurt back😢
EARGASMIC!!!!!!
The title "Hot Water On Wool" reminds me of memories of hot water running on steel wool while I am doing the dishes.
this song is the best of this album with uneasy heart, for me ^^
Slept on to the max
damn.. headphones are rattling.. that bass!
J'ADORE DANCE GAVIN DANCE, through thick and thin always 4ever
Beautiful song. HUGE missed opportunity not seeing them live with Johnny Craig. Got to see him with Emarosa though!
such an amazing cd
dat ending
A favorite of mine.
Been a fan since they started and always will be... I get lost in your voice bro.
DEATH STAR!!!!!! this band have the best album artwork ever.
Oh, the thought, we are the flaws that make us.
+Alex Murphy only if we let the flaws "make us"
Psh, I have no flaws.
The guy on the left looks like "Alex Moran" from Blue Mountain State
Sin Terry I fuckin love bms aha he kinda does in this pic
@ThatOneLegitKid1 so true. The bassist they had for that album was sick.Nasa has some legit bass riffs.
I think, and I could be wrong, Jon Mess does the screams for this cd and Happiness, but when they perform live (and the music videos "Tree Village" and "Me and Zoloft Get Along Just Fine"), Will did the screams.
Wow, how do they only have 12,000 views!? i was expecting like a few million at least. :(
I don't understand why this has so few views, like many of their songs. :(
They're incredible to me.
My favorite from them.!!!
Someones clapping, I guess were on TV
im new to this band, and ive already given up trying to follow the band members cuz so many got replaced, it just confuses me now, so im just gonna listen to their music. No point in me trying to deal with the confusion of who was in the band before and now.
kurt told me dgd are a over replacing band or something like that. but its true, sucks how they sound soo good
So good
Great intro!
I miss the old dgd
JON IZADIKAL I think everyone does
No they don't.
Agreed. I mean, they're still amazing now. It's just... this is on another level for me.
So do I brother. So do I. Saw Tilians first show along with a couple other shows from the tour and I knew it was never going to be the same. @Blazinnn89 It is a great album and amazing instruments but I think that the bass on Happiness is just amazing.
@Karlandtheinstallers I do completely agree with you. Although, Kurt did have his epicness within Happiness and the self-titled.
Mindblown
I never understood why they just didn't combine this song with the reprise instead of making it two songs .-.
Because Dance Gavin Dance, that's why.

2021 anyone?
"Im waiting to see if it comes to me or if it's tied to a safe that just hit the sea floor"
I don't even know if you can even balance love and hate if they both feel so heavy...
Kurts voice is amazing although I feel a better choice of wording could make their songs so much better
The tongue in cheek lyrical content has kinda always been their shtick tho
what was going, through my heaaaaad, heaaaaad.
Kurt Travis
I Cant Wait For DTBM2 !
Love the whole song but it really gets me at 2:56
wheres the longer version of this song?? this is the short version theres one thats like 6 mins!
@kim4321 haha yeah i know. im saying this part is good. they really didnt need a reprisal. they couldve just ended it at "i wont forget what it means"
@mcGchron Not much, but I'm starting to. I like old stuff and things like Mod Sun and Earl Sweatshirt.
I LIKE!!
DOWNPOUR DOWNPOUR DOWNPOURRR
Jon Mess did the screams on me and zoloft get along just fine. Mess left the band before the video was recorded so will just pretended it was him so there could at least be a face to match the voice for the video.
the beginning makes me feel like i'm high and soaring on a cloud.
good song. :)
How the fuck does the self titled album of dgd have less views than the other ones like wtf? 😤

"SOMEONE'S FAPPING... IT'S WANG... AT ME!"
And now _that_ reminds me of the TV nightmare scene in _Requiem For A Dream._
