They wen't from a popular funk/jazz group, and know it's just all about Adam selling out to a more popular and profitable genre, electronic dance music. The change wasn't for the sake of music. It was for the money and contracts. That's why only Adam gets the publicity, the spots on late night shows and a chair on the voice. He probably got approached by some big business men in suits who offered him more if he signed himself to them. You never actually get to see the band get interviews or TV spots. It's almost like all the credit goes to him now.
