Mercer is a really good character , he honestly should have had more screen time in this season and probably some more action moment’s. Hopefully we will see more of him in the spin off’s , cause he really is a character who has potential , unlike Lance , Pamela , Sebastian , Leah and Pope who were nothing but just annoying and cringe. In my opinnion the best character’s in this season were: 1.Daryl 2.Negan 3.Rosita 4.Ezekiel 5.Carol 6.Mercer
What i like about beta and mercer is that they're the two strongest combatants and characters in the franchise and in the comics beta is 7ft and stronger and faster while Mercer is like 6'2 or 6'3 but in show beta is still taller but in terms of strength is depends on where they're fighting and what they're using in the fight so I'd say beta due to his durability and speed but mercer punched a hold ein the wall so i don't know who would really win
