This video introduced to me to the i4 “Ultimate” Project when it was about to begin construction in 2014 and 8 years after that, in February 2022, the 21-mile corridor was fully completed. Along with that, the Wekiva Parkway-SR 417 beltway was completed in the beginning of this year (2024).
Yes, it's called induced demand, and is a known traffic engineering nightmare. But it's never properly addressed with solutions like public transit because there's too much money being made on the reliance of the automobile.
We did the so called "Express Lanes" here in Southern California along a 10 mile segment of Hwy 91. It has been an absolute nightmare and very few drivers have anything positive to say adjustable tolls, which top out at around $1 per mile, and hardly decrease at all day or night. I pity you folks in Orlando.

Great job and I used them recently!!!!
Eventually the expanded interstate itself will become congested. It's happened with Boston's Big Dig and many other highway expansions.

"Improvements" my sweet ass. More like the ultimate confusion.

How did y'all capture the existing 3D imagery?
I think you mean Google Earth? You can use a PC to view it on Google Maps, or just get the app on iOS/Android and it's easier to use there.
I think he means how did they simulate the new road over the old road
