Wonderful videos - some of the first insights into what doing the Loop is like. Gives us more motivation for doing the Loop in a few years. Thank you for sharing! Cheers!
My son loved home schooling; we did grades 5,6,7,8. 3 hrs per day; the extra time I spent teaching him how to ride our horse and teaching him tennis, he LOVED the whole thing, very bonding!
I just watched the entire trip, every segment. Thank you for sharing this!
Thanks for watching!
Best Great Loop series ever, thank you!
Really great narration and editing to make for a very enjoyable series, could not help but notice how your boys truly enjoyed the journey, you selected the best age for such a trip. My wife and I have many fond memories traveling with our boys, now men, these are memories that last a life time, bravo.
Thank you for sharing this.I have cruised the bahamas, and Caribbean, and would like to duplicate your voyage someday.Right now we are boatless for the first time in my adult life.A stroke a few years ago has left me paralyzed on my left side.I am still making slow progress on my recovery,so there is still hope,I may be able to do it someday. Thanks again.
Scott, thanks for watching, and I'm sorry to hear about your health. When we took this trip, we were in our early 40s, and everyone else we saw doing the Loop told us how lucky we were to do the trip when we were young. How true that was! It is a long trip, and it can be stressful. If you plan to do the trip, find a couple agile good-natured people to help you along. We actually did see a one young man help an older man out for quite a long stretch in Canada, and they both seemed to be having a really great time. I'm debating doing a new series of videos, interviewing people willing to share an interesting boating adventure from their past. It's amazing how many fun stories are out there! Take care!
Thanks for watching. Happy Cruising!
The quarry, to the side of pisqah bay is a big party spot. Its drag boat racing a couple times a year in the bay and its fairly shallow. As you enter, the quarry is on left and gets shallow but then drops to almost 200ft. Most tie up to other boats because anchoring can be hard and a issue if storms kick up. Lots of go fast boats and jumping from the rocks. Gets pretty wild. Yall made a dream trip and did a good job of informing others. Thanks.
Brilliant video blog - just watched the whole series - thanks for sharing..!
Excellent video, you gave great history information along the way. I live in Ft Myers, Town & River, and the Loop is on my bucket list. Thank you again for sharing.
+Kent Caldwell We're just upriver at The Landings...
What a great trip….really enjoyed this, wish I could see more like it…..
Thanks! I'd hoped to post a video on the Dry Tortugas by now...We originally planned our trip at the time of the government park shutdown...We hope to get down there in the next couple months.
Really nice series. Thanks for putting it together. As others have said, your narration was perfect and it's great to see "home" video footage that is steady and doesn't make you dizzy watching. Well done! Perhaps I missed it somewhere, but can you provide details on the boat you used?
Great video series! I wish my work would allow my family and I to do the Great Loop! As for now, we have to settle for local and regional lakes every day i'm off! Godspeed!
Thank you for sharing .......dreams are maded in following the smiles
Thanks for sharing your Great Loop adventure!
I enjoyed your "travel-log" ...thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I've watched this twice now and really enjoyed the trip! Hope to maybe do this myself someday!
We think the air draft was 19' 6", which could be lowered if the antennae were dropped down. The keel draft was 4' 6". Three years ago, we cruised around the Bahamas for a few months and originally intended to return to do some videotaping, but the Internet connection was too difficult to run a business, so we're not in a hurry to return. We'll probably check out the Tortugas this fall or winter. There's also some discussion about the Chesapeake next summer...
Thanks. It was a great education for all of us in so many aspects...
Any family time on the water is time well spent, even if it's just a day here and there! Happy Cruising!
theres not enough good things to say about how you edited this. i watched all of them. very rad.
Thank you Michael!

I surely enjoyed all of you videos... Thank you for sharing! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Great videos. Very informative and entertaining. Just curious, what is the air draft of your boat, and the keel draft? Also are you planning any other cruising? Thanks.
Well done! A great education for all of you I'm sure.
