yes, white powder is a must. it serves to lubricate the drum and the cleaning blade. The blade may also be old, in which case it won't help. If you change the drum, you must change the blade too!

@@GIMIKBG thans for these videos, I have a Kyocera M3040 which is causing lines on the print and through of giving it a go after watching this video. if I use alcholol (isoclene) and a microfiber cloth when cleaning the wiperblade and drum. Do you still need to use the lubricant coating powder?
@@dave9545 An alternative to the white powder is just use some toner. Make sure you use a clean rag to apply it, as many other chemicals are bad for the drum roller.

Dots are mainly related to Toner leakage or dirty fuser...
