PRO TIP: When printing transparent resin, if you want super clear shiny parts, don't wash off the excess resin. The excess resin will give it that perfectly uniform surface that is super clear and shiny. Again, that's print, let sit to drain off some excess, and then straight to curing. Another tip, if you do wash and then cure but don't like the cloudy finish, sometimes you can simply dunk the cured part in clear resin and then cure to a shiny finish.
Their slicer works fantastic, very intuitive and detailed. I hope they will bring some more stocked supplies overseas, that is definitely a step towards a greater success.
Great for prototyping……but there’s a reason for glass fiber in injection molding …..and similar to FDM printers……the particle additives are too small and generally make the parent material weaker🙄😎
There are a couple of resins available that have some mechanical strength, but for a high stress part like a shock tower or an A-arms I would not advise it. Depending on the scale and weight of the vehicle of course.
No matter what machine you use, whether it's a failure or a success it's always messy, the only difference is whether you're throwing away what you just printed or keeping it..............
I have not yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if large containers with resin to refill the bottles will become available to decrease the cost. Thank you for watching!
You can, but you cannot adjust exposure settings at all with this printer. So unless the exposure profile so happens to match HeyGears' resins exactly, it's not going to work well.
@@sasca854 I was referring to larger, more inexpensive resin containers for HeyGears to refill the bottles with the tags in them. Settings are indeed specific for what the machine registers. Thanks for watching! 😃
He’s going full on techno, not long until we get anl Hemistorm Original RC, full build from the ground up. I’ve just checked out the price of that kit, wow that actually affordable. And I’m as tight fisted as the next guy (I hate spending money)
Wow, what a system! Incredible!
And it looks fantastic too!
Hi what is the printer like with it not having any air filters?
Hell ya ,can’t wait to see what amazing things you make💪
You and me both! So many possibilities!
That printer and washer look awesome!
I think so too!
Goeie avond . Ik ben zeer geïnteresseerd in dit systeem . Ik had graag meer info 😊.
Could you talk about how heavy it smells?
Not bad at all, actually! Just make sure you ventilate, or alternatively, have an air purifier.
That’s just awesome!
I love it!

Really good video man.
Does it take long to deliver the resin from heygears? Sucks they don’t sell the resin on Amazon.
And how do you like the web based slicer?

@@hemistormrcAwesome. Looks like I’ll be ordering one this week.
Thanks for the tutorial. Looks to be a very reliable printer. Would this resin be acceptable for working parts like A-arms or shock mounts, etc?
Resin is typically not good for parts like that, unless you want a shelf queen.

Proprietary? Have you tried pouring other brand resins into their bottle? I'm thinking it should work if the cost is prohibitive.

Super expensive.
touching the uncured print just out of the wash with your bare hands? wow, that's dumb...
Barely touching the supports after washing doesn’t seem that crazy to me. Thanks for watching.
