- i took the 30fps trailer, removed black bars and made it render at 60fps. also i cant do burnout 5 at the moment due to technical difficulties. ill explain in the comments.
Final version: Emo punk songs and crazy races.
Beta trailer: accidents, death and panic
*pop punk and emo songs
@@PartyPoisonCODMthank you, this person has no idea what metal is. This is emo pop punk for sure
Why take the substinance when you can do directly to the source?
well this game could've been a lot more darker.
tell me they scrapped The story mode
It still is kinda dark, but it would've been worse yeah
@@minenhledlamini4206 there was no story mode planned, the game itself would’ve been darker
the physics in the beta mode were eerily realistic
Im playing Burnout 3 on ps2 right now and i can say that cars on the final version tend to fly more and the deformation is less realistic, crashes feel more "soft".
I don't really know why criterion made this decision.
@@TheNicoxoxD Maybe it has something to do with the change in direction from being a bit darker to just being stupid fun. It's harder to take it seriously when cars just fly all over the place.
@@murai_maquina i prefer the darker burnout tbh :(
@@TheNicoxoxD Then B3 could be rated T or M then
And more brutal
Burnout 3 went from being a game with shocking crashes and a really dark tone to a game with unrealistic, yet fun crashes and a epic pop-rock, metal and emo rock soundtrack (brought to you from Crash FM, heheheheh).
Seeing Burnout 3 (whoah, i can't really believe that this game was called ''See you in Hell'', man, Criteron wanted that Burnout 3 was a game with a really dark tone, imagine hearing people screaming in the game before a crash.) with the darker tone of the early stages of the game would be cool tbh but honestly the final tone of the game was better imo.
I guarantee you that See You In Hell was just something someone suggested as a joke. There's no way in hell that was ever a serious consideration.
@@JRC99 even if it wasn't a serious consideration, Crash + Burn is still dark. Crash and Burn, that's it, that's how you die in this game
I prefer dark and gritty games. Would have been cool for the demo to be unlocked as a playable dlc after 100%ing the game
Crash + Burn is a pretty generic name imo. I'm glad they changed the name into Takedown
Check out thrill drive. The game burnout originally started as a ps2 port of.
You crash and go to hell when you do.
0:58 Tire jumpscare
*AHHHH*
This is darker than what Konami did with Thrill Drive.
supposedly Burnout 3 was inspired by Thrill Drive
@@Alexmercer344 actually the first burnout game was a response to thrill drive
@@familiaj.r.7739 I guess the original vision for Burnout 3 was to solidify that they amp it to 11 when compared to Thrill Drive.
Nah, thrill drive is still way darker. The fact that you can see the driver's lifeless body ejected from windshield + that horrifying people screaming art everytime you crash blow this shit out of water.
@@Alexmercer344 *rip-off of Thrill Drive.
I still think a Burnout game with dark tones to it, like people screaming, the driver having ragdoll physics, the haunting Burnout 3 beta impact time sounds, etc, would be a neat addition to the series.
just like flatout
@@machinehl Well, kind of. What I mean by the ragdoll physics is being able to see the driver flop around inside the car. Limbs bending as the car rolls over, being crushed into the steering column in a crash, having the roof cave in onto the driver's head, etc. The screams would be like it is in the trailer; crash into a traffic car and you'll hear the occupants scream in fear and/or pain.
@@thefirkman7400oh right
Then check out Thrill Drive. Predecessor to Burnout series in a way, and has that darker tone despite the very arcadey playstyle
Like a full version of the darker demo of Crash + Burn as a spinoff title
0:53 you can hear the beginning of the beta impact time 8 noise
Yes! Sheesh I thought I am going crazy, because I hear it
0:29 that crash was weirdly satisfying
Best part is the screaming from 0:50-0:53
Guys... I don't think I want to street race anymore...
Nah it makes me want to do it even more 🗿
No shit Mr. Genius, street racing is illegal for a reason.
…the atmosphere is also catching up with the fact that it is made on the RenderWare engine, and this is, in fact, creepy
Can you elaborate, please?
@@geg_otmopo3 renderware makes everything look dark and creepy. For example,GTA3.
It gives games a shiny, modern, yet creepy undertone.
@@Remix2366 I rewatched this video wearing headphones in a dark room at 2AM and now I get it

Wow, with it being more clearer I think I can spot multi-class racing at 0:38 Muscle Type-2 and a Sports Type-1 are racing together, odd.
Then again I like this trailer.
Jakei's Productions 0:51 tuned compact with in a race with the muscle type 1 aswell
W0lverine 1231 no, technically that's development wise. Release date wise it's turning 10.
I wish multi class racing was in B3
Well if you emulate the game you can use a cheat code to select your opponent's cars in single race mode.@@GordFT2
0:29 that was a surprisingly satisfying crash
0:51 DID THAT WAS A FUCKING WOMAN SCREAMING?!
Yes
It's been 2 years, you heard about Thrill Drive yet?
After all these years, the hidden lore of Burnout was staring at us the entire time and we still keep doing it to this day.
the death of the cars is here hahaha
Am I the only one that thinks the beta damage looks more refined? And as a quick question, what is that yellow car seen at 0:51? It looks like some sort of BMW. I also noticed a a wagon roof on the Tuned Compact at 0:32.
Racedriver43 thats the tuned compact with a removed paint finish
At 0:51 that's probably...Sports type 3 or the Suv crush car
Matthew DiLeva we're talking about the yellow car,you stupid
@@aliantebassi8052 you can still see the checkers on it, so it's a tuned compact
The yellow car really looks like a M3 GTR (the street version)
*¡Ojalá hagan un remake donde añadan todo esto!*
Ahh so that is why one of the game logo iterations was burnout 3 see you in hell
Was Crash + Burn an early title for the game?
Yea, there were alot of early names. They changed the name because Eidos was creating a game called Crash N Burn and Criterion didn't want to take the risk of getting accused of copyright infringement.
There were alot of names considered such as:
Burnout 3: Seek and Destroy
Burnout 3: Chilli Con Carnage
Burnout 3: Carnage
Burnout 3: See You In Hell (im not joking)
Burnout 3: Fuel Injection
"Crash & Burn", "See You In Hell"... man what the fuck was on the dev's minds at that time? The impact time sounds too
@@adupswillbeback3390
They wanted to be really sadistic, and Impact Time is a remnant of that initial direction, I bet.
This could have been a 3rd times the charm syndrome kinda thing
@@NoBillsOfCrashDamage it kinda surprises me one of the names wasn't "Burnout 3: Dead on Impact"
Wow can't wait for it. What's the release date exactly?
DJ Thanos 39th of april 1933
Eh, not too long
So guys it's already released!
How is the game?
fall 2004
I love the old camera
Burnout 3 Crash + Burn Shocktober Edition
forza 8 multiplayer trailer???????
get real
Burnout 3 Crash + Burn Shocktober Edition Starting:
Muscle Type 1
Sports Type 1
Super Type 1 "DJ Stryker"
Compact Prototype
And others
why would criterion add that eerie sound at the end
It’s the horn of the car being stuck because the driver died and his corpse is pressing against the wheel.
I believe the horn being pressed was the only sound that made it to the final game. I remember hearing the horn on certain crashes but no screaming.
imagine burnout crash + burn with death metal as the soundtrack
I see Burnout 2: Point Of Impact Barriers
Ik this is late but damn they really almost gone all out thrill drive inspiration with this one
this is fucking horrific
The last shot of the crashed muscle car with the horn constantly blaring never fails to make me shiver.
Burnout 4 is burnout revenge
Burnout 3 ruined childhood
Not 8k but we can SEE TEASER
those screams
Burnout 3 but the objective is not to crash and it's permadeath.
Kinda like in burnout 1 survival mode
They should put it in this intro the song clint eastwood from gorillaz
fun fact burnout Paradise uses the same map as in burnout 3
Darkest game i have ever see
Escuche el grito de una mujer casi al final
+SuperType1 So ur HDD is dead ?
Takedown... the darkest game that couldve changed the entire focus of the series, how? 2 words. Crash + burn
That looks like Guts & Glory
1,000th like! :D
I wish they keep those cinematic crash cameras on the game, looks better than in final version.
this inbetweening actually works for games like this, how the hell
Sin seriamente este trailer de Burnout 3 es un los media

That game sure is fun

This isn’t that fuckin dark ffs it’s literally just burnout 3 without the music, put lazy generation overlayed with this it’ll be the same, some people saying “tHe PhYsIcS lOoK dIfFeRrEnT” bro no they don’t I stay playing burnout 3 takedown on my OG xbox my brother in christ the physics look the exact same. This doesn’t look scary it’s just burnout 3 without music and a scare noise, but hey still sick as hell one of the best racing games of all time I pay my respects to the goat. Also fellas, if you want it to play like this a lot of these noises besides the screams are still completely in the game, just turn the music off and crash.fm. I will admit it is uncanny with the music off, but it has a pretty goated ost also so like why turn it off
It happens that, with these effects, however minimal they may seem, they give a completely different environment. Music and sound are important to be able to convey certain emotions, and Burnout is no exception. The game at its base is just destruction and fun, but if we go from being in a race at maximum speed with punk in the background, to hearing a woman screaming, a horn going off, or a heart stopping, it goes from being fun and simple, to much darker.
5 months later, but it is known that the vehicle'ss damage models were toned down for the final release.
My man missed the point of the trailer completely 😂
This trailer video is a preview of the beta version of the game, where there isn't any music yet since Criterion hadn't acquired the license to put songs in the game.
Also, just because you think it's not very dark, it doesn't mean that it isn't the intended purpose of this trailer video. Remember, this video was made before EA games bought Criterion and subsequently, the distribution rights for the game. It also means that it was made before EA games had an influence on how the game is going to be marketed.
I feel sad for the people who liked this uninformed comment thinking that someone edited out the music to make it "creepy" when it was made clear that the dark undertones was the original art direction of the game.
Yeah I agree, the physics look the same. Maybe the cars fly a little bit more in the final version, but other than that not a lot has changed.
@@syahmiirfan6779 may have been the original tone, good comment, nonetheless the finished product is significantly better. I was obviously aware this is a beta I’m not a smoothbrain, I was just making a statement saying the final product is better from a vibe perspective, and most of the stuff that was in the beta is in the finished game anyways Mr. Big smart guy. Sure It might have been darker, me personally, I don’t think that tone hits as good or as fun as the finished one, why should I have to feel “dark” or “gritty” in an extremely unrealistic arcade racer. I don’t think it fits as well as the final game and I’m happy they made some changes to the overall vibe, it’s significantly more memorable. EA buying criterion and giving them funds to develop at the time was the best thing that could have happened, burnout 1 & 2 were very mid and with EA/criterion we got 3, revenge, and paradise. Sure it sucks now because no new burnout released and criterion is stuck in the need for speed mines, but I’m happy EA and criterion worked together at the right time to make 3, if they marketed it as a more menacing “gritty” racer I don’t ever think it would be as memorable as it is now.
There is actually a Burnout competetor called Crash n Burn. I hated that game as a kid
