Japan's weather is going slightly insane right now, so be prepared for anything! And that is a very ambitious TBR, I wish you luck. I'm just looking to read a lot of my spring-themed books this month, but I'm really looking forward to reading "A Fragile Enchantment," "The Scandalous Confessions of Lydia Bennet, Witch," and "The Grace of Wild Things."
Omg Japan! I am a Japan nerd, and went waaaay back in 2004, but I want to visit again! My April TBR: Personal Cybersecuriry Manual, History of Modern Japan, Case Files of Jeweler Richard vol 7, A Thousand Autumns vol 4, Remnants of Filth vol 3, Guardian vol 2, Husky & His White Cat Shizun vol 6, and the Beloved.
Obviously, the one book that I am going to check out is my most anticipated release: Funny Story by Emily Henry! I have spent the month of March rereading her books so that I can get pumped for Funny Story.
Ohhh this tbr looks so fun! I usually switch between genres and lengths of books, but after Malice, I'm really in a high fantasy mood 😂 So I'll be reading Wheel of Time!
I know you said you were unhauling 6 Crimson Cranes a few uploads ago, but it has the same plot as Child of the Prophesy (they’re based on a fairy tale) so now I’m convinced you should read it and compare the two.
I looooved The Buried Giant. It's written so beautifully and it's something I feel like I've never read before. Made me cry and I thought it was wonderful. Hope you manage to get to it!
Deapite knowing the ending of book 6 of the Expanse (because I watched the show first) I got absolute goosebumps from how well it was written and what was written. So good.
The only series of Juliet Marillier I have is “Blackthorn and Grim” trilogy and it is one of my favorite trilogy of all time. I have read ‘A Curse for True Love’ and I enjoyed it so I hope you will too.
My TBR at the moment is finishing the books I have started. I also want to read Miracle Creek, I read the other book that the author has and I liked it so now I want to read that one
My husband and I went to Japan in October and I am heading back in June for a girl's trip. It was only supposed to be two of my friends going and now there's four of us going and I'm so excited. I hope you guys have a wonderful trip. I absolutely adore Juliet Marillier. I feel like the Sevenwaters series gets better. There's also a short story in the world that is wonderful as well. I am currently reading an arc of The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo. I'm not far into it yet, but I'm very intrigued by what's happening. After that, I'm going to read the second Emily Wilde book. I want to pick up one of my BOTM books too, but I haven't figured out which one yet.
i don´t know if you have read it, but since you love Ancillary Justice i recommend The Left Hand Of Darkness by Ursula K Le Guin! its and amazing sci fi that is also discussing gender
My TBR picks are a mixed bag this time; there are a couple of books I am not too interested in, but I want to read them anyway (Chime and Shiver, both YA). I am not a YA fantasy fan, so when a friend gave me them, I wasn't eager. But since they are gifts, I'll try to read them. Otherwise, I finished two already - Heartstopper Vol 2 and Spy X Family Vol 2, and I've got Stephen Fry in America on audiobook and also have All Systems Red by Martha Wells. I've read that Murderbot book, but I am re-reading to get to one in the series I haven't read yet.
Currently reading mistborn: the final empire and loving it! I'm hoping to read the whole series this year finally hehe. About to start Once upon a broken heart because of your recommendation as well ☺ Also psyching myself up to start Assassin's Apprentice - wish me luck 😳 Have a great time in Japan!
Im begging you to read the second book in the My Brilliant friend series!! I am currently reading it and need to hear someone else talk about it. Also I left a gap between reading the first and the second but discovered there is a show on HBO and each season is one of the four my brilliant friend books so watching season one before reading the second book was so helpful and the show is GOOD
Here's what im reading Lizzie Blake's best mistake by mazey eddings Miss memory lane by colten Haynes memoir Her too by bonnie kistler The witching hour by Anne rice book 1 in the mayfair witches it's a carryover from march One summer in Savannah by terah shelton Harris Happy place by Emily Henry Howling dark by Christopher ruoccichio
Have you read The Housekeeper and the Professor? Not that you need more on your TBR, but if you haven't read it yet you might like to slip it in this month - short, sweet, Japanese. I listened to the audiobook of The Buried Giant and I really liked that. Might be a way to squeeze it in when you're able to listen but not work on a physical book, as well as enjoying how the British narrator brings the characters to life.
My April tbr 📚💀⚡️🥀🌊👱🏼♀️🗡️ Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire One for my Enemy by Olivie Blake Tress of the Emerald Sea by Brandon Sanderson Assassin’s Fate by Robin Hobb Gonna be a good month!!!!!
So far all I have planned is: The Land of Lost Things by John Connolly The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune I do really want to get to Assassin's Apprentice sometime this month as well.
This mysterious romantasy book is still living RENT FREE in my brain. Can’t wait to see what it is!! Also started reading Tress of the Emerald Sea finally and it is absolutely DELIGHTFUL already!! And the ending to Harrow the Ninth???? Send help????
Lately, I am not getting the satisfaction out of reading that I used to get. I am reading 7-8 books a month but not getting that dopamine high. Is this what you call a reading slump ?😔
7 to 8 books a months is crazy, i can only do 1 to 2 books. Maybe you should to chasing that dopamine hit & try to have more fun with reading or cut back on it or take a break..
@@davidd4696 I am a fast reader. I don't think quantity is the issue. I think it's the type of books that I am reading and lack of book lovers in my life.
Hi! Love the video 💕 I’d like to shoutout my debut novel, Masks of Faded Dreams, which is coming out TOMORROW (April 2nd). It’s a YA fantasy romance/romantasy with elemental magic, enemies to lovers, knives to the throat, royalty, found family, and lots of secrets to unravel. If anyone wants to check it out, it’d mean a lot to me
The way you juggle so many deep fantasy series at once is so mind boggling to me. My memory could never.
For real!
I get so excited when anyone reads the Sevenwaters series. I think it deserves more love. Probably my all time favorite series.
Omg just came up with a really good idea for a video because of something you said, books to read in a plane, would very much look forward to it
I’ve preordered the Familiar, I’m so excited! My birthday is on the 11th of April so this book is a birthday gift to myself 🥳
Happy birthday dear🎉
Happy Birthday! 🍰

I love hearing about the books you've read or want to read. You always have a great variety and include books that I might not have heard of before 🥰📚

Omg looking forward to a Japan vlog if you make one!! 👀
I hope you and Clay have a wonderful time in Japan.
Child of the prophecy is also on my list! Would love a link to your top. ❤😊
Hope you enjoy your trip to Japan Reagan!
