Such great footage man. Fishing for these trout is hard enough, and then you decided to throw cameras, gear, and shot placement into the mix. Great work and patience, hats off to ya.
Thanks man! I really appreciate this comment! It’s been fun learning the whole process and it’s so rewarding when you get a good shot in 3rd person. I’ve lost a couple good ones due to camera stuff lol but no giants thank god
Thanks for watching! The stickers unfortunately you cannot buy. They are included in the heavy hitters signup and you get them in your welcome package. I’m not 100% certain but If you sign up for next years tournament I’m sure they will include a sticker again
What length/model of laguna spinning rod do you like? I've owned a couple liquids and a Texas Wader 1 but feel like I haven't found my perfect match. Thanks for sharing.
It’s a 6’ 9” laguna liquid medium light. I like it but I’m not sure if it’s a perfect fit. I haven’t thrown a custom spinning rod but I’m sure it’s nicer and lighter. What did you not like about the Texas Wader 1? I mainly throw topwaters, double D and sometimes plastics on my setup.
@@StixHD The 6'7" TX wader 1 is a great rod, especially for plugs, but I find the longer liquid casts further and has better action for soft plastics with light jig heads. The recoil guides on the TX wader also make a noise when using braid that I found distracting. Might not bother some people, just my experience. I noticed I keep picking up the liquid even though its half the price.
It is unique. I think they called it a FatBoy “whale tail” I’m not sure how many he made back in the day. I bought them off of Facebook lol. The packaging is the old style he used when he was still selling them out of his garage.
I’ve always set the hook kinda hard. Don’t know why just have. Haven’t had many issues with hooks pulling. I tend to keep a looser drag to so I think that helps

We're u seeing alot of bait in that second spot when you caught the 1st nice trout?
Yes! Mullet jumping everywhere! It was still a grind though
What kind of spinning cast rod you using
I use a 6’ 9” Laguna liquid medium light spinning rod
Thanks Brother!!!!!

Forgot to mention that the TX Wader 1 is noticeably lighter than the liquid.
Paddle tail Corky New or Unique? Is he remaking it or just hooked you up ?

What’s your cam setup ?
Camera? First person is a GoPro hero 8 and third person is GoPro hero 10
Bro....they're called "paper mouths" for a reason. You don't have to set the hook like that
You have to on a Laguna ML
I’ve always set the hook kinda hard. Don’t know why just have. Haven’t had many issues with hooks pulling. I tend to keep a looser drag to so I think that helps
