Regarding your question whether Angelina continues to want to follow the path she started at age 7: Angelina has been the driving force in her career, with her family holding her back as much as they can without stifling her. They turn down the majority of offers for her to perform and accept mostly charity events and festivals. Her mother has stated, if Angelina decided to stop tomorrow, then you would never see or hear from us again.

So as you went back and watched these earlier reactions are you surprised at how you reacted? My wife and and I have attended her last three public concerts. When she is on stage singing it feels like she is singing directly to each of us and nobody exists until the song is over. We attended many wonderful concerts and never have experienced that before. Now is happened with every song at each of the concerts. She is able to extract feelings and emotions from deep inside. When she explained that she closes her eyes while singing she goes to another special world and takes us with her. I believe that is why when listing to her live the world around we vanishes and time seems to stop. every song seems to have ended to quickly and when the concert is over it’s difficult to understand how so much time has passed so quickly. Angelina, has such skill at opening up tear ducts with us having no ability to prevent it. She plays her voice like a master playing the finest instrument ever made and makes it sing. After watching every video i can find, many times. I have decided that she is two people in one, the master vocal artist and the sweet beautiful, humble girl. She can switch back and forth in a nano second. She’ll be singing then, when she has a moment between lyrics she switches back gives sweet smlies, hand hearts and hi’s then goes right back into singing body.

It's a natural talent she must have been born with it. She has all of this volume and technique going on. It's practically life changing listening to her. She's covering all of these genres. This IS the voice of our generation.
With all her genius ability, making her able to compartmentalize everything she has
ever heard, and then be able to bring it forth whenever she wants to, is simply mind
boggling. Still, what's even more amazing is that she says that if not for Billie Holiday
there would be no Angelina Jordan. People may not be able to comprehend what she
stated, but if you were to take the time to listen to the catalog of songs belonging to
the most improvisational singer of all time, and realize that Angelina is constantly
dialing in so many unique elements invented by Billie, you begin to understand why
she says what she does about Billie's importance to her. Billie was a poor, uneducated
'Black' singer who was self taught, never having a mentor at any time in her life, and
redefined the genre of 'Jazz' to a level never reached by anyone before her. What's
amazing is that with Angelina's unmatched tools of personal musicality, she is on her
way to surpassing her mentor, for she doesn't just sing 'Jazz', but a host of other genres
as well. She is, by far, the most versatile singer that has ever graced this planet.
She is the greatest female vocalist to ever live and now, we are hearing her music. Her own writing, arranging, and performing. Her complete creativity on display. When you were first introduced to her I'm sure there were a lot of angels hyping her up so much (including myself) that you had to have your doubts. WOW... where to start, what to say. I've watched every one of your Angelina reactions, and as much as I loved them all, this compilation went straight to my "Best Reactions" playlist. This just put into words all those fellings that run through me when I listen to Angelina. Over seven years now, and it doesn't matter how many times I've heard a song, it reaches deep down inside me and pulls the emotions up through my heart. Tears, always tears... happy tears, tears of pride like I was her Grandpa, tears from emotions that I thought were buried long ago. She finds all the emotions and wakes them up. I'm sure PBS would enjoy your presentation and professional insight into a once-in-a-lifetime Artist Story! Please have your agent call PBS and pitch this Idea!
What a treat this was!!! Here is the evidence of what a fantastic communicator you are!! - -Which is why, I think, you're the most enjoyable reactor to Angelina Jordan's music! (I haven't been able to listen to your others because of work). I've heard so many reactors , just from love of Angelina, and from what I've heard, either the reactors are just so amazed that they just say, "Woooow! I have no words!" (They may add one other thing, like, "I love how her voice goes up and down!" or "I love her raspy-ness!"); or there are a group on the other side who identify some of the technical aspects of her techniques, and it almost seems like their aim is to show how much they know about singing, and to sort of normalize what she's doing (although they'll identify that she's talented for her age, when she was young). But you not only run down the amazing techniques, but share your EMOTIONAL reactions, and can communicate what's so amazing about what we're hearing!! Here we are, with tears running down, and you're explaining with amazement why her music is touching us so deeply. I appreciate SO much your openness and transparency of what you're feeling, in combination with technical explanations of what techniques she's using and why they're amazing! THANK YOU for being such a wonderful communicator - you're SO enjoyable to share Angelina's music with! (-AND you gave us here a wonderful overview of many of Angelina's songs that we love! Talking about Angelina Jordan forces you to reconsider the meaning of words and phrases you've used (or at least heard) your entire life. (Of course, here I am talking about English words and phrases, but I'm sure there are direct equivalents in your native language.)
I used to think the phrase "born to sing" was just a poetic way of saying someone is a really good singer. Then I saw a 1½-year-old baby singing a bit of "I Will Always Love You" and doing a surpisingly good job of it, and I had to admit that it might actually be possible for that phrase to be _literally_ true.
I sometimes catch myself referring to her "confidence" on stage or her ability to "convey" or "communicate" emotions, and I realize that those words have connotations that aren't what I mean. I struggle to think of replacements. I talk instead about her "comfort" or "self-assuredness", and how she "invites us to witness her feeling a song".
Considering what makes her a good singer makes me reailize that the very similar sounding concepts of "being able to sing" a song and "knowing how to sing" a song are actually _very_ different things. The former can be quite narrow, implying merely that she can hit the right notes and successfully apply a bunch of different vocal techniques. But the latter encompasses so much more - in particular, the way that she seems to always know what a song needs from her, and (therefore) how it _should_ be sung.
And finally (in terms of things that are coming to mind right now - I'm sure there were others I was thinking of when I started typing this up): I hear her saying that she wants to be a "superstar", and I'm initially confused, because it doesn't seem to fit her otherwise humble and down-to-earth persona. It's only later that I come to understand that "superstar" to her doesn't mean someone who achieves fame and fortune, it's someone who enjoys the privilege of being able to touch the lives of the maximum possible number of people through their talent.
