Saw them live for the first time last night and all I can say is that they blew me away. Amazing talent, I had no idea. Crazy talent every one of them!
I have been listening to this song for about three years now and I can honestly say I never get tired of it. Brings back old memories like no other song can. In my opinion a masterpiece of song and if permitted I'll keep on listening to it for the next decades to come!
I love this song so much. Even after hearing it for over 100+ hours when I was working at Sea World. It was the only song that didn't get annoying within the first month of me being there. They are amazing live.
these guys are truely good showmen.. I saw them live on feb 4th. they are touring w/Matchbox 20.. their on stage antics are amazing.... if you have a chance to see these guys live.. i do recommend seeing them..
I wasn't born in the "church". I got saved in my 20's. I had years of swearing, drinking, etc behind me. My life was changed and I was set free from what was dragging me down. I was not judging you. You know how you feel now, just like I "knew" all those years. You may be in a position some day to "know" differently. It's not just for Heaven of the future, I am loved and accepted now by God, I don't need acceptance from others to validate me.I love life and see things differently.
I cannot wait for them to come to Washington, D.C in November. I don't mind having to stay out all night to see them, knowing I'll probably be late to class the next day. But if it means I get to see them, I'll make the sacrifice! Plus, everyone is just so amazing! I love the drummer especially!
You should see them live. He does partial handstands on the thing. And Darren, the Drummer, sends a bass drum out into the crowd, and hops onto it while the crowd holds it up, then jumps back onstage. These guys are the best live band I've ever seen.
The singer is Paul Meany and the drummer is Darren King. This clip and studio albums do not do justice to how awesome they are. Catch a live show if you can.
I talked to Paul on their first tour and we were talking about jazz groups like Return To forever,Charles Mingus,Miles Davis,George Duke and I mentioned Jaco Pastorius and he said "Roy is a huge fan of Jaco" So you're right :)
"Would everyone still feel the same if they knew that is song is about the Lord?" What difference would that make? They aren't preaching. Half of U2's "Joshua Tree" album is about God in one way or another and that's one of the best albums of all time. I say this as an atheist. This band rocks. Period.
They were a lot more gutzier here then they were recently on the David Letterman show... I saw them live promoting their frist CD, i hope they are just as great performing their new one too... seeing them in ATL in OCT
I agree with that - being a Christian (at least, a real one) means having the living in God in your life, reflecting in ALL that you do, and that'll be reflected in your music too - which doesn't just mean putting the 'key' words like 'Lord' or 'God' in your songs. Don't box these guys up in your own narrow mind! It's a gift they've been blessed with, like the steward's talents!
Seconded. Got a tip just like this from a guy in a record store, they happened to be playing the War Memorial like two months later. got a ticket on a whim, blew my effing mind.
@wakeatl Yeah he's insane, I believe his name is Darren King. I think he was in another band along with the singer called Earthsuit which was pretty good as well
@dullhillstuntdouble Earthsuit was incredible. They were much less commercially viable than MuteMath but they were also one of the most original bands I've ever heard.
totally agree about the sting/police influence. mutemath are amazing, i really want them to make it big! although i've heard that they're on the new twilight soundtrack, so that can only be good news!
For those talking about religion and politic within a music video: "Information Is Not Knowledge... Knowledge Is Not Wisdom... Wisdom Is Not Truth... Truth Is Not Beauty... Beauty Is Not Love... Love Is Not Music... Music Is THE BEST..."
WOW! Almost 100% of talk-show performances sound incredibly horrible, regardless of the great talent within the band, but this performance is so good, it's otherworldly! Love MuteMath!
seriously one of the best bands i've heard in a while
their self titled album is amazing!
Saw them live for the first time last night and all I can say is that they blew me away. Amazing talent, I had no idea. Crazy talent every one of them!
They're still to this day my favorite band. They're unbelievable...
I have been listening to this song for about three years now and I can honestly say I never get tired of it. Brings back old memories like no other song can. In my opinion a masterpiece of song and if permitted I'll keep on listening to it for the next decades to come!
It's 6 years later now. Do you still listen to it? :)
I love this song so much. Even after hearing it for over 100+ hours when I was working at Sea World. It was the only song that didn't get annoying within the first month of me being there. They are amazing live.
they are all great musicians. Roy is an incredible bassist! we need more bands like mutemath
This song is awesome! The lyrics are so true.
the drums on this song are so epic.

Hace mucho que no la veía y lo genial es que me siguen encantando .
these guys are truely good showmen.. I saw them live on feb 4th. they are touring w/Matchbox 20.. their on stage antics are amazing.... if you have a chance to see these guys live.. i do recommend seeing them..

MUTE MATH is the best and refreshing type of music i ever listen to!
aaaaaahh amazing job! I love this song
I cannot wait for them to come to Washington, D.C in November. I don't mind having to stay out all night to see them, knowing I'll probably be late to class the next day. But if it means I get to see them, I'll make the sacrifice! Plus, everyone is just so amazing! I love the drummer especially!
I adore this song!
Darren King shows that you don't need a huge drum set with a gazillion cymbals to sound great. For me, he's one of the bests around....
So excited! Seeing them again this Saturday for the second time!
Aaaand That is why Mutemath blows my mind. I just want the next album to sound as good as the liver performance is.
Bring the energy!!
Wow! They are so eclectic. Love their sound....
the singers name is paul and the drummer is darren king. i grew up with these guys. they are amazing people as well.
Wow! Great live performance. This song is great! :D
You should see them live. He does partial handstands on the thing.
And Darren, the Drummer, sends a bass drum out into the crowd, and hops onto it while the crowd holds it up, then jumps back onstage. These guys are the best live band I've ever seen.
Did anyone else here just realise just how good the bass mixes with the drumming? The bassist is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love this song. its got a chill and groovy beat, the intro rocks my socks.
Man, they are awesome. I love this song.

I talked to Paul on their first tour and we were talking about jazz groups like Return To forever,Charles Mingus,Miles Davis,George Duke and I mentioned Jaco Pastorius and he said "Roy is a huge fan of Jaco"
So you're right :)
Amazing song, amazing band.
"Would everyone still feel the same if they knew that is song is about the Lord?"
What difference would that make? They aren't preaching. Half of U2's "Joshua Tree" album is about God in one way or another and that's one of the best albums of all time. I say this as an atheist.

Chaos was on their self titled independent release at the end of '05/early '06. Warner released in September '06.
this song is the bomb!
They were a lot more gutzier here then they were recently on the David Letterman show... I saw them live promoting their frist CD, i hope they are just as great performing their new one too... seeing them in ATL in OCT

I love Mute Math, and I love Craig. :]
That is the only time I've ever seen anyone pull off the Keytar.
Excellent
They do have a reggae sound and you can really hear it if you listen to Peculiar People. I love this song and This band they are awasom.
Break the Same. I love it. Chaos has a special place in my heart though, it was the song that introduced me to the band.
The band that deserves to be HUGE.
Holy SHIT! I found a new band to love! These guys rock!
Holy Crap. That's possibly one of the best things I have ever seen...ever.
That is real talent for you.
:)!
Seconded. Got a tip just like this from a guy in a record store, they happened to be playing the War Memorial like two months later. got a ticket on a whim, blew my effing mind.
You ain't heard this until you've heard it in HD in a good pair of headphones or some good speakers! Mute Math!
Amazing Message! It's so true He will never leave you!
@wakeatl the drummer's name is Darren King :)
That is sooo Badass. I just had a soulgasm.
That sleek simple full at 3:11 crispy nasty clean
The singer is on fire, so cool
Je kan me nog meer vertellen, maar dit is ECHT een vet bandje!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
awesome
very nice.....
the drummer's from Mars!
Amazing!
If they can be recognized as more than "that one band with a song in Twilight," then they'll have made it in my book.
Reminds me Genesis a bit. :) Great !
the drummer is good! and the whole band is awesome.
Drummer=amazing Saw them live recently blown away
I want to see them with ATAL in Chicago!
just saw them at voodoo fest....they are AMAZING live
so fucking amazing...!!!!!
@wakeatl Yeah he's insane, I believe his name is Darren King. I think he was in another band along with the singer called Earthsuit which was pretty good as well
@dullhillstuntdouble Earthsuit was incredible. They were much less commercially viable than MuteMath but they were also one of the most original bands I've ever heard.
i go sooooo crazy when he's clapping his hands..!!!!
even though i preffered it when they were earthsuit over mute math, these guys deserve alot of praise
Cool!!
know what you mean about joining them...this band would be so fun to be in
totally agree about the sting/police influence. mutemath are amazing, i really want them to make it big! although i've heard that they're on the new twilight soundtrack, so that can only be good news!

For those talking about religion and politic within a music video:
"Information Is Not Knowledge...
Knowledge Is Not Wisdom...
Wisdom Is Not Truth...
Truth Is Not Beauty...
Beauty Is Not Love...
Love Is Not Music...
Music Is THE BEST..."
i love paul's hair style))
i think that's something that mutemath gave the audio crew of this show to throw in. beats me if that's not the case
hells yeah.
A good song
i like how the singer went forward at the end with the mic XD
this drummer is fucking amazing
bBeen listening to this song for 10 years now, wow thanks degrassi.
WOW! Almost 100% of talk-show performances sound incredibly horrible, regardless of the great talent within the band, but this performance is so good, it's otherworldly!
Love MuteMath!
