Hello, I am in the process of performing the swap on an E38. Do you offer remote programming services? I have a facility where we can have the vehicle connected to a maintainer, 16 pin to ethernet & TeamViewer.
This series of videos has been extremely informative! Im currently collecting the parts needed fro this swap. Got the trans, Trans support brace, manual pedal box, flywheel, new clutch kit, manual shifter, hydraulic lines. I know i need to extend the front portion of the driveshaft, Since my car is a long wheelbase, would you know whats the size of the extension? In terms of the coding: I have an e53 4.8is cluster, coded to the car, im assuming it should be same as any other bmw oem cluster? Appreciate you taking the time to put this all together..
thank you! a far as i know, the cluster coding will be the same. as for the driveshaft, it is my understanding that the rear half is longer in the long wheelbase versions but the front half stays the same length but have not personally done one on a long wheel base yet so might be wrong. hope that helps.
