Pete Heller’s name is synonymous with the history of house music in the UK, his records steeped in the sounds of club nights gone by like Shoom, The Trip and Spectrum. Now Glitterbox are proud to present one of his most loved records ‘Big Love’, ready to be introduced to a new generation of clubbers. The vocal sample from ‘Wear It Out’ by Starguard adds to its uplifting sound, evoking nostalgia for Ibiza nights gone by. The Dronez Mix sees house masters Eric Morillo, Harry Romero and Jose Nunez step up to remixing duties, adding their classic house flare to the record.
House music from the late 90's and early 2000's is the most enjoyable and danceable music. Born in 1977 I'm happy that I could be part of the club culture in this time.

Pete heller made a great tune out of nowhere and made it in the best decade for music the 90s, the music I grew up with. They don't make great tunes like this anymore, I never get bored of listening to this playing it loud in the car. Pete heller your a hero for making this incredible tune. 👍🏻

The DJ had very good tracks. Nice guy. Couldn't blend records on beat, to save his Life. But he got me started on this and Basement Jaxx. Being from Chicago, you had to keep your ears open to all kinds of sounds.

we used to drive up to sf every weekend night with the homboys when this song was hitting in every club , we were only about 20 min away then now its about 45 with all the traffic . one thing about the city that always amazed me was that we always got lost despite us being there every weekend , it was just so beautiful , distracting and confusing and we loved it. peace to all my treasure island ravers .

When I found out the music track was entirely composed using synthesizers and the only sample was the vocals, I understand why it aged a lot better over time. It may be planted in the disco house/filter house/French Touch era, but Pete stood out with a tech house flare with Big Love. This song has identity.

It's funny, when this came out, it was largely considered a very generic piece of house music, that was popular non the less. But when compared to today's utter, utter dogshit, it really shines and shows how beautifully pure the house sound was in the 90s. I mean, the late 90s were great, prog house, trance, techno... All shining bright. But purist house had died a death, with exception to the special producers out there such as Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, etc.

Ahhhhh the memories, early meet up a few drinks, a designated driver, dance into the venue, dance on the floor for 2 hours straight, leave in the early hours, meet at the Crooked Billet on Wimbledon common for a few beers and Sunday lunch............. then go to bed with a smile on ya face ! The late 80’s we started another revolution and we loved it !!
