I'm a Stan and right before I heard "Revival" the first time around, I told myself to listen to the lyrics and not get caught up in the beats and flow, and Em came out as a legendary rapper that really had no inspiration for "Revival" and thought if he tried to be funny, it'd give off this 2000's Eminem vibe, but it didn't. I liked the messages he gave in his songs but failed to turn the message into a good song, like "Walk on Water." Amazing album from the Rap God. People hated it because you have to actually listen to it. They used to trap beats and mumbling.

I'm a Stan and right before I heard "Revival" the first time around, I told myself to listen to the lyrics and not get caught up in the beats and flow, and Em came out as a legendary rapper that really had no inspiration for "Revival" and thought if he tried to be funny, it'd give off this 2000's Eminem vibe, but it didn't. I liked the messages he gave in his songs but failed to turn the message into a good song, like "Walk on Water." I liked his message about how he can't live up to people's expectations, but the way he made the song made him sound all emo and shit. And that's why I believe (in my opinion) "Revival" is his worst album so far!

I hear a lot of people trash this album and I disagree with them. I think no one is listening to the message because they want to entertained by the Reality TV show type of drama. Where there is this back and forth smack talking going on in exchange of insults. The best songs written by the greats, are the songs that actually mean something. It’s like the new Kamikaze album is Eminem being Russell Crow in Gladiator like “Are you not entertained”. After he gives the crowd what they want. I guess the answer is yes Em they are entertained. I loved revival, I would have to write a novel to explain why because there is so much to it.
Agree this album was personal to em and it had a message but ppl didnt like it cuz like u said ppl prefer the reality show drama and the success kamikaze made proofs that cuz lets face it one of the reasons that album was a success is that eminem dissed other rappers

Revival didn’t even really make it to the Netherlands in the media except for the song River. So when Kamikaze dropped i went and listened to Revival and now i have 2 amazing new Albums to listen too. And Revival is definitely a masterpiece
