Thank you very much for such straight forward tutorial. Changed my brakes in no time!
Nissan sells pads that come with the hardware, highly recommend unless you want the premium pads and rotors; they don’t come with the hardware. Front brakes need a 22 mm and a 14 mm; rear brakes need a 19mm and a 14mm. Be prepared to whack the rotors off; they were seized liked crazy. Definitely use anti-seize and caliper grease when replacing the new parts. I found it hard to use an impact wrench for the rears because of the space between the caliper and suspension. All in all this video was perfect to help me plan the work and get all of the necessary tools prior to replacing them. A+.
I ran into the same clearance problem in the rear, I guess a u-joint and extension could help, or struggle with a wrench.
Thanks bro! Great job
Great video bro.... Thank you.
Great video. Keep it up mate thanks
I watched this video to learn something. My car is equipped with electronic parking brake so there’s some special procedure for the rear brakes. I guess your car doesn’t have it, but every 2021 Nissan Altima I’ve ever seen does
Yea im considering buying a obd2 tool to retract the rears but you can do it manually but its a pain
What’s the best of brakes to use for the newer Nissans ?
I pretty much thought this was how it should go. I was concerned because I didn't have clearance to use a socket to remove the rear caliper bracket, but I see now it was because I put the jack under the suspension, which kept the brake assembly up, and not down.
What impact wrench do you use? Am I able to use a regular drill for this with a bolt adapter or is it not recommended ?
What do you do if it has the Electric E Brake???
What flashlight were you saying that red one ?
I have a 2020 Altima SL and I have electronic calipers
Same, can’t seem to find any info on it.
I just replaced my brakes and rotors with brand new and a month later they started feeling like shit?
Thanks for the great video where do we find the torque specs for the bracket 2020 Nissan maxima
I have the service manual front is 20 caliper to bracket..back is 25 electric parking brake 32 manual parking brake caliper to bracket.. bracket to knuckle front 107 rear 62..
I’m assuming you’re asking specifically for a 2020 Nissan
Is this the same for a 2020 Nissan Versa SR
Not same
Versa only has drum rears
Sooooo make sure to hang the back calipers, but the front calipers are OK to dangle?
No, don’t want to dangle them as it could damage the brake line.
How many miles did the vehicle had?
About 50 thousand
My wife’s 2019 Nissan Altima has 92,000 miles !! Travels a lot for work and in need front and rear brakes
My 2020 maxima caliper is sticking is that normal?
What do you mean sticking?
@@menjicar i did my rotors and pads and they still make sound when braking. The mechanic said the back caliper is seized could it be??
@@Therealpeter10 sounds like the hardware is rubbing very common issue. Make sure hardware is aligned. Or remove caliper and turn wheel by hand to hear for any noise
@@menjicar what do u mean by hardware? They made me buy new rear calipers
@@Therealpeter10 the thin pieces of metal that go on the caliper bracket sometimes rub
not the same as my as my rear brakes have electric brakes in the back
So what about the rear brake shoes wtf???
What’s the name of the special tool
It’s called a brake caliper compressor
I used channel locks
No torque specs provided? I haven’t found a clear precise spec online. Just a bunch of diff ppl’s opinions. Lol
Tight is tight
Sentra has turn down rear calipers
How do you turn them easy?
Without the correct tool
