- This is a PVP video featuring Mystic PVP. Mystic vs all other classes in Tera. Most of my opponent's are playing as the race Elin, do note that this is not the only race in Tera.
If you dislike the music then simply turn off the volume on the video.

ProTip: When fighting ranged classes like archer/preists/sorcerers/other mystics summon your tank thrall and stand behind it while you cast curses. Try to keep it between you and the other player so it will take the damage and leave you free to spam DPS instead of heals. Against melee classes use the thrall of vengeance and dance around it while the melee chases you, it adds great DPS.

yes u can choose any class with any race they are not race locked u can be any class u want and be any race aswell
Yeah Lancers are pretty hard to beat. What you can do is use the Thrall of Vengeance and then try to get it behind the Lancer. The only problem with that is that the Thrall of Vengeance damage dosen't really pay up for the mana it costs to use. The duel would most likely end in a draw or until you run out of mana.
It's because I was using a lock-on ability. Think of it as a seeker missile, but before you can launch it, you need to have had a clear target of what you are actually planning on shooting.

The Thralls usually just fucks up for me since they break my sleep effect. Im not really having any problems with the ranged classes, its only the melees that gives me trouble. Aswell the Thrall of Vengeance costs so much mana that I feel that its better just dotting up 3 stacks of Curses and keeping them there, which costs a lot less mana.

I would use Thrall of Vengeance against the Lancer and Slayer and perhaps the Berserker. The only problem is that the Thrall of Veng dosen't really pay up for the mana it costs to use, also you would need a few safe seconds to summon it which can be hard in a heated fight.
The race is known as Elin, which is the most played race in Tera. ^^
Does "Elin Dance Squad" mean you are in Killian EU or does this guild exist in other servers as well?

Haven't gotten to play the game yet but the mystic looks like the most fun. Playing a warlock in WoW and this reminds me of it. Can't wait to get my PC running

Well, dealing damage to Lancers is almost impossible since your main damage spell is a lock-on and lock-ons are easy to block. The rest of my damage spells are only for close combat and you don't really want to be at close combat vs a lancer as a Mystic. Another thing that is a problem for a Mystic are Sorcs since there damage is crazy and really hard to evade unless you use pillars like I did. Aswell if you are duelling a Priest and you allow heals to be used, then the Mystic goes oom first.

But then again, all classes expect the Berserker have some sort of ability like blink. Warriors, Slayers and Lancers have charge, Priests and Archers have backjumps and Sorcs have Blink.
Correct, which makes Beserkers a must have in any match-up. ^^
never saw the lancer use a leash and stun u afterwards....
would be interested in how a mystic should counter that...

A ver por la experiencia que tengo de TERA (Yo tambien he estado buscando una clase a rango), te explico más o menos cada clase cómo funciona
- Archer: Mucho daño continuado. Un PVP básicamente se basa en como de bueno seas esquivando con él, y eso sí, si cargas una flecha al maximo y te sale un crítico, es unstakill
- Sorcerer: Lo de siempre, mucho daño en área, mucho burst, y mucho control en cuanto a ralentizar y suns se refiere. Sin embargo, a mi nome gusta el Sorc en PVP
I see. I've been looking into these more action/skill-oriented MMOs recently, and I like how Tera allows any race/gender to be any class.
Would you recommend Tera over other games? Comparatively; Rift, GW2, RaiderZ?

Well there is no "best" character since every class works differently. I'd say it's more about personal preference, every class has it's strength and weaknesses. For example a zerker is weak in 1v1 but is amazing when it has friends helping, so in other words it is very good for battlegrounds and arenas. While something like a healer is nearly unkillable in 1v1, and a healer is always useful in battlegrounds and you always need one in arenas. Personally i'd say if you want a class that is okey in everything, i'd say lancer. Because lancers have a kit that is really good when you have a team but also good when you're alone, however a lancer would still never beat a healer in 1v1. BUT a healer could also never beat a lancer, it would always be a draw since the lancer can always block all the healers attacks and use Iron Will to absorb any damage that isn't blocked.
The warrior didn't even try to use pounce once.. Which is pretty much a perma-slow if you keep on top of it.
I think you need to find the people on your server that are actually good at pvp, and then duel them.
True. However, that does not mean you will have problem with the rest. This video is from the cbt and in the cbt you could only get to lvl 37. Because of this PVP was not balanced since Tera was not designed for pvp under lvl 50. It is our own fault for destroying the game by westernizing it. Now that i'm lvl 60, I can have a ton of trouble with any class as long as they know what they are doing. Lancers are propably the hardest to beat just because you can't deal any damage to them.

Mystic and Priests are both healer classes, neither are allowed to use heals. So it's a fair duel since neither is allowed to use heals. ^^
Yeah, if you do allow heals the battles just ends an a draw. I didn't want the duels too be to long because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough video for it.
i pretty good at aiming and i think my reflex are good also .. should i try mystic or archer
Yeah, Blade and Soul looks awesome, and I am definitely looking for an mmo with a high skill cap. I'll probably give Tera a try once it goes free-to-play, and I'm almost certainly going to get GW2.

I'm sorry but did you have trouble reading what I just said? The game was in Beta, people hardly knew how to play, they we're still getting used to the combat system. And it was never ever stated that any of these players we're professional.
Id really like to see you PVP level 65 geared ppl with those tactics... lol
A healer vs healer battle at lvl 36 was unending, if healing would have been allowed. The duel would've ended in a draw since both classes can easily get back mana

That would be their Battle Cry, but battle cry dosn't stun that long and casting needs you to be close o the target and it still have some casting time. And the stun isn't even 100% chance unless you have it glyphed. So doing it in PVP without the glyph is not really a gamble since you can't move when doing Battle Cry which would just have allowed me to get further away and heal and get mana back :P
What class is prefered for a solo player? I was thinking archer, but i dunno

Well keep in mind that since it's an real-action MMO. the height and largeness of your character does matter, the bigger character, the easier it is to hit. But it dosn't really matter than much ^^
I simply can't believe how many people are complaining in running, for a sorcerer, mystic and Priest there is simply no other way to fight, you are using cloth armor, it would be idiotic to fight in close range with a berzerker, you're not running you're dodging, those who complain are simply jealous, there are clases that are pretty fun to use in the game for fightiing monsters like lancer, but most of them suck for PvP, it seems that some people can't get over that fact, you're pretty good.

I think it's good, dosn't matter what countrey you're from - music is music no matter that language ^^
All classes have their ups and downs. Berserkers are kinda useless vs ranged classes in a duel. But in a teamfight such as battlegrounds or arenas, Berserkers will be a must have since they can bacially almost 1 hit every class with a crit. Overall in the later levels, Berserkers do get some what better in 1v1. They get their "move-quick" ability and at lvl 60 they get a very powerful AoE shout that prevents people from using escape abilities such as the Mystic Teleport Jaunt.
Honestly I don't have a complaint about the music itself, the animes they come from are some I have enjoyed. The complaint I have about this is you're trying way too hard to show people that you're an otaku. The fact that your avatar is from Chobits and you're ingame choice of character is a loli is proof enough. You could have at least used some more suiting music to a fight scene than this -_- Anime theme music is for montages, not lengthly videos.
I simply used the music that I found fitting, I don't listen to any other music so I wouldn't know what other music I could use. ^^
Then why not use some Vocaliod? At least that has some beat behind it. Songs about love and togetherness from echhi animes don't belong over MMO gameplay. Also, and I mean this in the kindest of ways, but if this is the only sort of music you listen to then you need to widen your borders and listen to something different. I recommend Chillstep as a good stepping stone.
You should check my other videos and then you would find that I have infacted used Vocaloid in some of them. Either way, liking only anime/vocaloid music is a choice of my own and it's a choice i've made since i'm sick of the real-life music. ^^
I respect that it is a choice you have made and I understand some of the mainsteam music these days is pretty poor. But I myself listen to all sorts of music, Metal, Dubstep, PunkRock, Chillstep, Nightcore, Vocaliod and ,yes, Anime themes (Black Rock Shooter's being my favorite). And through having this wide veriety of tastes I have actually found myself being able to find common ground with some of the oddest of characters that I wouldn't normal approach on my own. All I'm saying is maybe, even though you like this music, if you used something that appealed to a wide demographic then there might be fewer negative views expressed in the comments on your vids.
I tend to simply ignore the negative comments since i'm just doing these videos because I think it's fun, if people like them or not dosn't matter to me. ^^

Acually since the recent Free To Play, Mystics got buffed. Priests were just waaay better for team battles, and therefore Mystics needed a buff for the arenas that was introduced with the free to play.

Are they not going easy on you? Im playing as Lancer, Slayer and Sorcerer and i never had problems with Mystics. Mystic is 1-2 hit kill if you play as Sorcerer.

Depends, I definetly think that Tera is more skill based compared to most other MMO's. If you're more on the easy side I guess you should stick with GW2. Else you could sit and wait for Blade and Soul which I am pretty hyped for myself. However, Blade and Soul have class restrictions unlike Tera.

Such is Mystic PVP for yah, I'd say it's still more entertaining than how I PVP nowadays. Just standing still and tanking all the damage and just using damage skills from time to time :P
Should I be a Mystic or Sorcerer? I'm confused to either go with DPS or Support :(

Well, i've only played Mystic my Sorc is not 65 yet. I suggest you check out my guide video for Mystics, it's a bit outdated but the basics still apply. If you like what you see from that video then I suggest you pick Mystic. Both Sorc and Mystic are very different in their playstyle so it's hard to compare them.

I don't think it is wrong, I just think it wouldn't fit in with dubstep music or rock music or any other music by that matter.
