Who are these criminals throwing this kid into solitary confinement for 7 months? Privatized jails need to be outlawed.

What I appreciated about this was a description of the prison experience in a language that is very approachable for especially younger people.

Giving airtime to someone who exploited hard working people with small businesses, not paying them and strolls off being interviewed like he’s a hero. Embarrassing.

So, you don't give people a second chance? If we can trust his word, he is trying to make it right. Having him as a guest is beneficial as it makes a good story. He is not a hero, and I didn't even know about him, and I don't look at him as a hero. Do you think he was displayed as a hero? Taking his word he got good intentions, but failed to deliver, and covered it up by lying, because he believed that he was capable. He should have learned a lesson now that he has spent half of his twenties in jail, and still got a enormous debt. He would be a fool to fraud again, although fraud wasn't exactly what he did, and honestly I don't think he is a fool. Everyone deserves a second chance when they truly want to make it right.

Great interview, Ryan. You did a great job of walking Billy thru explaining everything. I hope he takes his self-reflection to heart. And goes back to college…they do teach u things in college!

You need to do a better job of having the camera on the guest while they're talking. There were minute-long stretches where Billy is talking and we're looking at Ryan instead.

I met the dude one night at a bar and he just kept looking around very suspiciously later on my friend came up and said this dude just told him a crazy story about this fyre festival and not really knowing anything at the time I was like dude that's like ja rules shit he's probably lying to you but I remember him looking at me very weird as if he was worried that I knew him, I didn't at all, but he seemed so worried about someone recognizing him. Shit was so weird

Billy is a TRUE serial entrepreneur! Get's out of jail and the first thing he does is say 'OK, let's go again'!

This guy is truly inspirational to many degrees. Yeah, OK, he failed and went in way over his head when he was young (I believe the word incompetence and inexperience flew around in the interview). And that's OK. He had good intentions and wasn't like trying to defraud people and run away with money. Dude seriously tried to the end, boots on the ground with his team.
And now as he says at the end, he can either lay low, accept defeat in life, pay back debts, OR, take all that negative publicity (which there is no such thing as bad publicity) and go through a redemption ark using the teachings and learnings from his mistakes and failings and try and be better. If you have good intentions you can never truly be defeated. You may lose battles, but you win the war.

I was hoping he had changed but clearly, he hasn't. I heard on the Netflix documentary that they were told before hand not to mention Pablo Escobar's name and Billy did it anyway. He does what he wants, does not listen and takes no responsibility for that bad decision that ruined a great opportunity for so many people.

    - So I went taken to the Brooklyn Detention Cen...
    - THAT'S BY MY HOUSE!!
hahahahahahaha I'm always amazed by these ADHD folks whose communication skills are💩 How in the actual heck was that relevant? Did you mean "THAT'S BY MY HOUSE!! Next time you're jailed, I'll be able to wave at you and stick crayon drawings on my window to brighten-up your day behind bars"...?
    🤭
I also enjoyed the "Dumb & Dumber/Dude, Where's My Car?" chitchat about the kid's bag trousers (not bell bottoms), especially the part where the kid says (in a 💩 phrase) that he only remembers the stores where he gets shoes, not the stores where he buys clothes, because it's been too long since the latter occurred. 7 seconds later: "I bought these pants at a really cool thrift store!"
    😅
I'm still debating whether or not I'll be listening to this. Trying to catch every available interview this insane wannabe mogul has given, but I suspect I'll be aggravated by otiose ADHD-type interruptions, which might make the experience even harder, considering McFarland's very annoying speech impediment.

I think Andy looks great and confident in his fit. I am the same way, I purchase clothing online but mainly thrift one of a kind items, or I go to like beacon's closet near union square. I rarely go shopping at department stores unless I need a blouse or nice dress pants.
