These shows were great. Only the instruments without all the glitter , smoke and mirrors as on todays country shows. Just watch ACM awards and you'll get the picture. Country music has really lost something along the way. Bring back these pure , simple shows. mosrite60

Well, for me, Crystal Gayle's real magic is in her total performance. She has a powerful voice and very clear phrasing for dialogue. You can see it clearly in the reaction of her siblings and the other performers when they hear her sing. She is one of the few performers that sings "happy." The only other two artists I can think of at the top of my head are Buck Owens and Oliva Newton-John that can sing "happy." Many singers through the 1950s and all the way through the 2020s tend to sing sad, depressed, melancholy, regret, and/or with reflection. When she sings she shines. She shines when she sings because, in my opinion, that is the thing she loves to do. It is a special kind of magic that comes out in her performance. Her sister Loretta sees it. That is probably why she came up with the name "Crystal." I think in her early career, she had a wonderfully powerful voice [dynamic] and as she got into her 30s she starting singing more in character [skill]. You can see it in the more recent videos with her other sisters Peggy and Loretta and with Cissy and Lynn. She elevates all their performances, and all the other people she has performed with over the years. Thank you

She has a fantastic voice. She here duet with Donovan as they perform "Catch the Wind."
Peggy is in crystal band. She Crystal backup singer. Jay Lee was around awhile til he passed away. Crystal is all about the hair.
