Hi, I went through some water, drove around on it for the day, then dipped my finger in the oil from fill plug while it was still warm and it didn't look like it had water in it, i have a noisey front end now, just changed the diff oil and yeah it was a little milkshakey, is there much I can do about the whinning?
@@connor3288 actually the inside of a diff is like an egg beater. The oil and water mix into an obvious water filled oil. But you are correct draining is the way to go. If it’s honey coming out throw the plug back in quick. If it’s whiteish green runny let it all out.

True if you leave it in for five years. None of us do. We change when we cross water or every year if we don’t. This is something “the aftermarket big shots” agree on.

Been messing with Samurai since 91, I still learn every video you make.
It’s been an intense 20 years of daily fixing.
Links for MaxTaxtical are in description.
Also WARNING: never use valvoline gear fluid in axles t-case or transmission.
What does Valvoline do? Or have in it that causes problems? Just curious ive never heard that before. Thanks for the videos

Thanks for the great video! Certainly glad I saw it before making the same mistake and pressure washing my transmission, which is coated with oil.
Awesome video MY
Thanks for the comments
Good info, I use that Stalube GL4 but I found out they recently discontinued it 😢
One thing I forgot to mention is NEVER use valvoline gear oil anywhere in a Suzuki drivetrain. John Gates taught me that.
@@Zuksoffroad I seen what Val oil e did Tommy dad’s truck… ide never use that stuff

Rebuild it before the damage ruins more parts. But it might be too late for the ring and pinions. They can get scaled rust in just a few days.
Oil floats on water so you may not be able to tell that way. Draining fluid would be more likely to show water contamination.

Can I get water inside dif/t-case when I presure wash it while it is on a car? Can water get in air breathers?
Thx for information
Hello from Europe
Absolutely the cork spring breather is a joke. It allows water in all the time from high pressure water.
