Sam, my heartfelt sorrow to you for your loss. I have to say I could not watch the vlog because it would have hurt too much. I am a stubborn Irish woman who very rarely cries but that vlog would have done me in. I have lost two of my cats in the last year. They were both 14 years old but to me that means nothing, I miss them but I did take care of them. I actually changed my airline ticket and flew back from Ireland to be with one until the end.

Hi Sam Really sorry to hear about Stephen there are no real words for the loss of such a close family member. I have commented on your channel a few times being an ex Prison Officer who has had the experience of Cat A V.P beast inmates and to be honest unlike other inmates I would do the bare minimum for them. I wouldn’t talk to them unless it was work related unlike all the other lads. I spent most of my time on the Hospital Wing so would get them from time to time and had to keep it secret from the other inmates which made my blood boil. If they were found out we could move them to lower medical which wasn’t as specialised care but if not we would have to lock the wing down until they were gone. To be honest though we didn’t have them for long as it was very violent on there due to mental health issues, drug and alcohol detox etc and they couldn’t handle it.

Once you were in that sterile area with the gate locked he should have been unable to go at that time. The officer who opened the gate let you down big time. I’ve worked with officers like that and it’s disappointing that they fail to have your back and be on the same page as you. I see it as weakness in them and the problem with the inmate continues. He’s won in his eyes even though his win isn’t a direct win against you. Glad to be out of the job as no doubt are you. We’re missing nothing pal. 👊
