People forget that Jack is only on roids because he trained so hard originally that he destroyed every muscle in his body. The dude was a walking corpse bleeding and pissing with every workout, and he still went every single day for his goals. The roids just gave his body the power to keep up, and although it had harsh consequences Jack didn’t care. Dude is an animal of ambition.

Jack is not a villain but everyone in Baki has a history of being extremely villainous. This also includes a lot of the Japanese characters who are extremely racist towards foreigners. The reason is the manga's creator Itagaki who is just another nationalistic retard.
Jack, you want to destroy the thing you are alot similar to, you desire absolute power, have killed more brutally than your very father has done to an animal, and just won't stop till he is killed, even if it meant killing others just to kill, as long as you got revenge for your mother, which there is nobility, but monstrous savagery in it.

Jack was literally working out so much that unless he was constantly eating and resting. That he burned off all of his muscle. The steroids he took regulated his metabolism and greatly boosted the testosterone in his body to build more muscle faster while decreasing the natural hormone that deteriorates muscle. That hormone is what keeps people from infinitely gaining muscle. So jack does have natural strength from being a hanma but he was dooming himself by working out to much without proper care of his body and the amount of nutrients he needed and proper rest.

Well the thing is when baki started to train in the mountains he was told that he needs to eat more and get bigger. Which he did, which aloud him to gain muscle and get stronger. In real life people who are trying to get bigger have to be in a calorie surplus. Meaning having to be eating more calories than theyre losing. But if ur not properly resting also it will affect the recovery process of building muscle. Also if u watched the anime he took time to meditate and concentrate under the the tree which was hundreds years old. So he probably meditated on his rest days. But seeing how yujiro is and how he said he has a complete understanding of the human body like the kureha shinogi. I'm pretty sure he knows this fact and implements it into his training
