I would definitely prefer samsung,, Being a holder of samsung tab s7+ , I got pretty acquainted with that ecosystem.. Besides i use to make digital notes in my tab,, samsung being a touchscreen and if we opt pro 360 its a life saviour... N screen is astounding Ecosystem syncs Wen it comes to macbook air.. m not a xtreme productive user,, rather a casual student So at this juncture samsung suits me.. @@SpotlightToday OLED is great but not all OLED screens are equal. The Samsung Book4 screens are glossy (which I prefer) but less reflective than other screens. You have to see it to appreciate the difference.

I take the samsung, just because you cant take or upgrade the SSD, the Samsung has 2 slots!, at least if something goes wrong you get your data back in that moment, also, the screen is better, the MacBook is more expensive and has no fans!

Macbook is really popular around English-speaking countries, since Apple keyboard is only available in English. I have many classmates that had a macbook at some point. Although they like the device, everyone finds writing in a macbook disgusting. We have to combine multiple keys to open a little pop-up menu on the screen, and then again press other key to select what we want. It's annoying and slow. For us, students, programmers and researchers, this sucks 😂 Samsung and every other brand wins over Apple when we are talking about keyboards, writing experience and responsiveness.
Perhaps your classmate had a MacBook imported from the US and not bought from a local authorized dealer? I imagine they are not tailoring their products to each and every country in the world, but you can actually get them in numerous variants, from different EU layouts to Asian ones. But the Samsung Galaxy Book is definitely a powerhouse of a device and offers some different advantages compared to the MacBook. To each their own!

It's not about a brand getting viruses, it's about a system. Windows 11 has a really good defense system and can also be enhanced by other anti-virus softwares. I use windows and never got a virus. It's all about avoiding "suspect" websites, such as those with free movies, animes, games...
