I’ve never seen Harlen so happy. Something so special just for him. And the puppy loves home too. He’s just the right age for a puppy. Every little boy should have a puppy.
It was great to see how gentle Harlen was with him, even when he first was surprised. A lot of kids would have screamed and probably scared the pup, but he was perfect. So happy for him!!! Also kudos for Chelsea to reaffirm that it's totally normal for boys to cry.

As soon as your puppy wakes up from a nap, pick him up and carry him out to wee. They wee right after waking up. Take him to the place in your yard where you want him to go. He will identify this place as his wee spot. His neck is so tiny, a harness would be better until his neck is stronger. He is so adorable! I just want to smooch that precious nose.❤
Harnesses are better always because if you're taking him on a walk, the collar might choke him so my two King Charles Cavaliers are both eight years old and we still use harnesses for them because walking them with a collar could choke them. You should also keep the collar on him all the time and put a little name tag on it with your phone number and stuff so if he gets lost and someone finds him, they can call you and make a place to get him back.
How beautiful! I love that Harlen now has a little fur friend to love and care for! What a lucky dog coming into your family.

As a dog professional I love the advice your cousin is giving! Just follow your heart, and if it feels cruel, it kinda is. Remember they are tiny babies, away from their siblings and mom. So sleeping alone is very scary for them. Also, lots of sleep is so so so important! He really is so so so cute ❤

Hey Harlow, so happy you got a puppy! Congrats Harlen! A potty-training tip for you:
Lay pee-pads in the play pen, all over. Then, when he goes to the toilet, praise him very well! Treats and all! Every week, remove one pee-pad. He will most likely only go on the pee-pads then. Do this until they are all gone, but before removing the last one, show Rocket that is is moved outside, and try to introduce the cue, 'Toilet' or 'Wee-wees!' Then, everytime he goes to the toilet outside, praise him! He will learn very quickly that way! Hope this helps xx

I had a puppy and one tip I would give you is after he’s settled in try and teach him so trucks like sit stay wait bed Bec they become very useful especially Bec u have horses ❤❤❤ can’t wait for more puppy vlogs x hope that helps xxxx ❤

Here’s some advice
When you tack him out for walks always put him on a harness because is you pull them on the coller it can make there wind pipe claps.
And when you are training him to walk put the lead on the floor and sort or drag it as he walks

Potty training pro-tip: hang jingle bells by the exterior doors at his level so you can train him to jingle them with his nose/nudge them and alert you to when he needs to wee. Beautiful pup! Congrats White family!🎉

OMG HIS REACTION!!!😍we rescued 2 puppies around 2 years ago and we had 2 dogs before but sadly my first dog j.j. passed away in February and we very much miss him😪

The funny thing is that hallows dashchund is exactly like my dog! My dog is a chunky, a dapple cream and long haired miniature dashchund! I hope you have a lot of fun with this breed of dog!! They are the cutest dogs

I recommend you get ramps for him to get into the bed and sofa and things because sausage dogs can be prone to back problems so this just helps their back ❤ he is such a cutie and I can just tell he is going to have the best home 🏠

What a precious puppy! It’s a new adventure that includes lots of fun and work. It looks like all of you are on board with a good training and feeding schedule. I hope you don’t mind me telling you that it’s natural for puppies to bite at you. It does not mean you need to accept that behavior. Be consistent in saying “NO” in a firm voice and put him down giving no attention to the negative attention. Walk away if you can. The correct keys are to be consistent in training, give lots of exercise, keep a good schedule, and have fun! Such a lovely and bright little new member to your family!❤️

I will say, dachshunds love to sleep in the bed! They love to snuggle up next to their human. Mine definitely loves to squeeze herself in small cracks and between our legs! Once Rocket is fully crate trained, you can definitely let him sleep with you in the bed. However, I do recommend always putting him in a crate when you leave the house because they can definitely be very naughty. Other than that, they are great dogs! Harlan’s reaction was adorable!

They are like potato chips you can't have just one. I wanted to share a life changing stain remover. Skouts Honor Laundry booster!It has to be the laundry booster. It's an absolute miracle. You can treat little accidents straight out of the bottle on everything and works wonders in washing machines for blankets if the puppy ever gets sick or has an accident. Stains truly disappear and also removes any and all oders. Happy puppy training! I look forward to seeing little Rocket grow and Harlow continue showing.

Rocket is so sweet you are so lucky to get him. One thing i'd recommend with puppies is the training bells you can hang off of the doors. touch his little paw to it as you take him outside so he hears that if the bell goes the door opens. He'll eventually learn to do it himself every time he wants to go out. I did it for our second puppy but not the first. The first loudly screams next to the door that she wants to go out whereas our new puppy is really polite and just touches the bells with her nose. You can also buy little puppy teething and calming treats that really help sooth their gums and help them sleep, both of our puppies loved them and barely bit us at all.
No way they already have a bed and pillow for him with his name on it!! Rocket your gonna have an amazing family ❤❤❤❤😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤
getting surprised with a puppy is one of the best feeling in the world, i never thought i was never going to get a dog and burst into tears when my parents walked through with my puppy, he's sadly not with us anymore because a horrible desise took him too young, but now i also know the feeling that harlow feels when she surprised him, i surprised my sibling with a second dog and its so lovely!

🐕Potty training tip- take him outside right after everytime he eats or drinks. The digestive track gets stimulated when they eat or drink so it's a perfect time to take them out😉 I even train mine to ring a bell when they need to potty, I hang it next to the front door.

I got my dog potty trained in 2 weeks. I took her out just after sleep, 15 minutes after playtime and 30 minutes after she ate. Every day for 1,5 week. Then she stared to show us signs she needed to wee, and we took her out, she did the wee and got a treat. And then she was fully trained. It was a dedication, but so happy she got it so quickly. She only had accidents inside on New Years, because she was scared of the fireworks.

Rocket is such a beautiful puppy❤ my dog is a Jack Russell but Jack my dog is fully cage trained and was clean within the first 2 weeks of being at home. My dad bought a massive cage for Jack and he had in it his bed food and water and a pee mat along with a few toys and until he got used to that we changed him into a single cage and he is absolutely amazing but most dogs have separation anxiety which my dog has so he crys a lot and he’s only a year old so he is still a baby! I loved seeing harlens reaction in this vlog xx
