Man was not given a living soul when he was created. Man BECAME a living soul (Gen. 2:7) after his body was formed from the dust and God breathed into him the Breath of Life. Consider also the words "living soul" from the original Hebrew ("ḥay nep̄eš") was translated as "living creature" in Gen. 1:21 & 24. Were the animals given "living creatures" so that they could live? According to Solomon there is no difference between a man and a beast. We all have the same breath. We are all of the dust and will return to the dust again (Ecc. 3:19-20) It is the Breath of Life that comes from God. The "pneuma" that Jesus committed to God at His crucifixion.

Doug is speculating. There is nothing in the Bible that says anything about a third of the Angels cast down. There is only that mention in Revelation, but Doug is speculating and inventing meaning to that from his own imagination.
@br.m Revelation says 1/3 and it says "they overcame him with the blood of the lamb," which suggests they were cast down after the crucifixion, but I'm not sure.
A third of the angels who decided to follow Satan instead of God were cast down way before the crucifixion. I believe it happened some time during the beginning of time because God created Earth & everything in it because Satan was able to convince some of the angels to believe all his lies so God created Earth as way to show his true nature & give the fallen angels & people a way to receive redemption & know he's a loving God. Is it possible that the 42 year old Ahaziah is different to the 22 year old Ahaziah (39:17) ? The word "Also" is used concerning the 42 year old in 2 Chronicles and the way that the 42 year old Ahaziah and the 22 year old Ahaziah die is different. One is killed by Jehu and his men and buried by them, the other dies of his injuries in a different place and is buried by other servants. I'm afraid y'all are a tad misinformed about de-transitioners. It's only 1% that are dissatisfied with the results. The other de-transitioners do so because they have no support and are being relentlessly bullied (for lack of a better word) into not transitioning. That means that 99% of people who transition are satisfied with the results. I wouldn't necessarily say that it's sinful to be trans. Is Doug mistaken? Can the satan create? The devil can create sin? I saw someone trolling with that argument too. He was asking questions as if to lure Christians in to a trap. Asking if God created everything. Then people respond Yes. Then he asks did God create evil and everyone wants to respond NO and then the troll tries to attack their faith from there on. When I responded to the troll saying yes God created everything and yes God created evil. The troll departed and stopped replying there. I admit I was a bit disappointed, I was all set to defeat that troll. Of course God created everything, even this world and any evil in it. For good reasons I wish I could have explained to that troll but I guess the troll has moved on to find more people who think that no God did not create evil. Pastor Doug what would you say about God having created a tree in the garden of Eden and then telling Adam not to take from that tree? Why would God have created that tree if only to forbid Adam from taking of it?
“The Tree of the knowledge of good and bad” stood for God’s right to determine ultimately what is good and what’s bad. The tree would indicate to Adam and Eve that they would always need God’s direction. This was a simple test because they could eat from all the other trees in the garden. If they Brad passed this test, God more than likely would have let them eat from that tree.

Doug is speculating. There is nothing in the Bible that says anything about a third of the Angels cast down. There is only that mention in Revelation, but Doug is speculating and inventing meaning to that from his own imagination.

Isaiah 9:15 says a prophet who teaches lies is the tail. And stars are said to be angels.
A third of the angels who decided to follow Satan instead of God were cast down way before the crucifixion. I believe it happened some time during the beginning of time because God created Earth & everything in it because Satan was able to convince some of the angels to believe all his lies so God created Earth as way to show his true nature & give the fallen angels & people a way to receive redemption & know he's a loving God.

The word "Also" is used concerning the 42 year old in 2 Chronicles and the way that the 42 year old Ahaziah and the 22 year old Ahaziah die is different. It all revolves around resting on the Sabbath doesn't it? It's the ONLY commandment of the 10 that testifies who God is, who is giving these 10 commandments. In Heb 4 (first half of the chapter) is a direct NT command for God's people to follow the example of our Creator by resting on the 7th-day Sabbath. While also separating those that cannot enter into His rest because of their unbelief...
I'm afraid y'all are a tad misinformed about de-transitioners. It's only 1% that are dissatisfied with the results. The other de-transitioners do so because they have no support and are being relentlessly bullied (for lack of a better word) into not transitioning. That means that 99% of people who transition are satisfied with the results. I wouldn't necessarily say that it's sinful to be trans. Is Doug mistaken? Can the satan create? The devil can create sin? I saw someone trolling with that argument too. He was asking questions as if to lure Christians in to a trap. Asking if God created everything. Then people respond Yes. Then he asks did God create evil and everyone wants to respond NO and then the troll tries to attack their faith from there on.
When I responded to the troll saying yes God created everything and yes God created evil. The troll departed and stopped replying there. I admit I was a bit disappointed, I was all set to defeat that troll. Of course God created everything, even this world and any evil in it. For good reasons I wish I could have explained to that troll but I guess the troll has moved on to find more people who think that no God did not create evil.
Pastor Doug what would you say about God having created a tree in the garden of Eden and then telling Adam not to take from that tree? Why would God have created that tree if only to forbid Adam from taking of it?
“The Tree of the knowledge of good and bad” stood for God’s right to determine ultimately what is good and what’s bad. The tree would indicate to Adam and Eve that they would always need God’s direction.
This was a simple test because they could eat from all the other trees in the garden. If they Brad passed this test, God more than likely would have let them eat from that tree.

The parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30) teaches the responsibility of investing all of God’s gifts to promote His kingdom.
Jesus said, “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey. Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. After a long time the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them” (Matthew 25:14-19).
The master had purposed to increase his assets and test his servants in hope of entrusting them with greater responsibilities. Likewise, Christ has entrusted the work of the gospel to men in order to preach the truths of His kingdom and train them for more responsibilities (Matthew 25:21; Luke 19:13).
The first two servants showed that they were faithful but the last servant did not: “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents… His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant… I will make you ruler over many things… He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant… I will make you ruler over many things… “
“Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’ “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant…So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents” (Matthew 25:20-28).
The two first servants worked with wisdom and diligence. And the reward for their honest service was that they would be given more gifts. But the last servant admitted that his unfaithfulness was not due to lack of ability. He didn’t want to accept the responsibility for the opportunity he was given.
Many, of those that are given responsibilities, do little and like the last servant they refuse to use their God given gifts for God. Therefore, the Lord gives the opportunities and tasks that a person refuses to those who will make the most of them.
