Oh wow! We had a Bishops in Omaha. My Grandmother would take us there in the 70's when I was a kid. I remember they had a little light 🕯️ you'd put on your table for where to deliver the hamburger. They also had balloons that had cardboard feet. It was such a nice restaurant.
Those guards shouldn't be mad that you're taping the mall which is a good thing to be video-taping these malls that are dying once they close no one will know that there was ever a mall, it's good for historical reasons at least at College Square Mall the guards seem to be easy going and don't mind.
Bloomington Normal is the dream locality for grocercies with Hy-Vee, Kroger, Schnucks, Aldi, Jewel Osco, Meijer, Super Wal-Marts, the Super Target, and a Fresh Thyme. You might eventually see Meijer items at Fresh Thyme (in Davenport and West Des Moines). One of the Fresh Thymes in the Saint Louis area has or had Meijer branded items.
@@NorthCdogg22 Meijer is big in MI, yeah, it's MI, OH, KY kind of surprised there in KY, IN, IL, & WI maybe they expand to Iowa or MN then they be in all of the midwest. Fun fact Meijer was in Maple Hill Mall as Meijer Square is not really a supermarket Jewel had part of the building Meijer asked them to move out and went across the street where JC Penny's was before moving across town at The Crossroads Mall in Kazoo in 81 or 82 when the mall opened up. Hardings bought Jewel stores in Kazoo in 96 which is just local supermarkets with many different names in the state of Michigan owned by Spartannash. Meijer decided to buy land and build a few miles from Maple Hill Mall which Target took the space in opened in 94 on the west side of town was one on the other side of town.
@@NorthCdogg22 Most definitely! When I heard "Crossroads" I got excited. The Crossroads in Omaha used to have a Brandeis in the 1980's. Younkers bought out Brandeis (I think 🤔) but Brandeis was our upscale Dept Store at the time, and Crossroads was by far the "coolest" mall. Where the rich kids shopped I think now it has a Target? Blasphemy. Dying malls are so depressing, but it's like a train wreck, you just gotta look ... 😔😑
I come here to chill and enjoy your content.
I love your enthusiasm
I started my new job this past week too, accounts receivable specialist with a local logistical manufacturer.
Nice!!
i love your vids, cant wait for the next one
I missed the live unfortunately, I was working at the theater lol
Bishop's Buffet is missed by many.
Nowadays it appears if you want a traditional American buffet, you have to go to a casino.

The Jazzersize slot used to be a Lane Bryant.
I think Musicland was in that spot before that. That was before they moved to the other end under the Sam Goody name.
@@carlousrichard8637 close. Music land/Sam Goody was right next to it.

Meijers exist in IL, and love hyvee my store. From Bloomington Normal here.
Good to know! I wish they would expand out here to Iowa, maybe one day!
@@NorthCdogg22 Meijer is in MI, IL, IN, OH , WI, and KY. Not to be confused with Fred Myer which is a Kroger brand of store. ❤️

And Hy-Vee is just starting to expand out towards Indiana, I can't wait until we get some Hy-vee stores closer to me in Lafayette.

Is this the Crossroads in Omaha? Not sure. The Crossroads used to be my favorite mall, but not sure if this is it
It is Crossroads Mall in Waterloo, IA.
@@carlousrichard8637 Thank you! Wrong Crossroads (for me)
