Probably one of the more memorable Snippets for me. I remember watching on WLVI 56 in Boston early-mid 80s. I'm 41 and don't think I've seen this one in at least 30 years but still remember it well.
I used to watch this show as a young boy over 40 years ago back on WKBS channel 48 because I remember the Come Back Here Can which is an easy thing to make back then & if anybody remembers today they can still make one now .
The minute I saw this, I went BANG!!! Out loud. That's my way of saying They Finally found the clip everyone's been looking and waiting for. Thank you Fuzzymemories.tv and the guy who found it.
This takes me back. I miss the days when you could tell children to play with lead weights and didn’t have to tell them to get and adult to help you cut the little hole.
Oh My God!!!!!! I was born in 1975, so I was relatively young when this aired. I must have spent A LOT of time watching (channel 32 mostly) because I remember it really well; it feels so familiar! This had to have been the most frequently aired Snipet because it is the only one I remember with such detail. If I had to guess, it probably aired a lot during noon-time/early afternoon Underdog. Thank you...the the holy grail indeed!
Let's not forget Tennessee Tuxedo that came on after Underdog. I understand what you mean by "detail". I can't describe that odd sensation as the video plays and I hear a long forgotten memory being echoed in sequence as I realize how LONG it's been since I've seen this...close to 4 decades.
Holy crap... I haven't seen this in over 30 years and I can still hear the narrator's dialogue in my head. That stupid thing never worked for me either. Ahh memories...WFLD 32 Chicago for me.
Wow! This is one of those moments growing up watching TV that I never forgot. There were others like this too. What about the after school specials and the previews? The one where the 2 boys crawl into an old abandoned houses basement window and one of them gets bit by a snake and you have to watch the show to find out what happened?
YASSSSSS!!!! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS!!! We made these all of the time!!!! Now if you can find...."Sweet Sue At The Sweet Shop" I'll be your friend forever!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣✊💯
This is actually the *only* Snipets bit that I remember -- because they freakin' showed it incessantly! Weird that despite its ubiquity back then, it took so long to find.
Amazing that this is on UA-cam, but I find it even crazier that nobody has addressed the real issue with this. The guy tells you to go find heavy washers or a lead weight! Did we really not know in 1981 that lead was poisonous? Wowsa!
I know this is off topic but does any one have the "Not the Jeans" Commercial, were the girl is throwing everything out the windown of a high level apt window??? The boyfriend is just sitting there watching tv while she runs around in a frenzy trying to get a reaction out of him. She throws the stuffed (swordfish) out the window, complaining: "You didn't even catch this Fish, and Golf... Golf is so boring...."
OMG!!! YOU FINALLY FOUND IT!!! AWESOME!!! Whoever recorded this tape thank you!
The Holy Grail at long last!
OKC Ray RIGHT??!! I’ve also been searching for this! ❤️😆😎👍
Same here! Decades!

It was in color!!! My parents only had a black a white tv back then
I never made one but at 42 yrs old I'm finally going to with my kids thanks bro👍
Excellent! That really takes me back.
I remember seeing this on channel 48 WKBS in Philadelphia,pa

Snipets used to run on the now-defunct WKBS channel 48 in Philadelphia.

I saw this on channel 56, when it was a Kaiser station and when it was
a Field Communications station, as a child!
It's been awhile, but remember like yesterday.

Whenever I see a coffee I hear it.
I saw this Snipets on KBHK Ch. 44 in San Francisco many times. Good memories.
Me too! Was it me, or did 44 use Chicago's "Make Me Smile" as a kind of opening theme for Snipets?
All we need now is the "Popcorn" Snipets intro
Some things need to STAY in 1972, and that song is one of them.
A craft segment brought to you by the metal coffee can council.
525Lines Continental Can & what was the one on Western? American Can Company?
Man I remember this
Damn! I not only remember this I remember making one.

Yes, that was on The Electric Company back in the day. Can't find a clip, but this link has most of the lyrics: theelectriccompany.tripod.com/n195.htm
Ray Ruether Yeah.....I've seen the lyrics.....just waiting for the clip to finally show up. 💯💯💯 Happy New Year to you and yours.
That creepy line... "What do they know???" will haunt me forever.
Fun with lead!
I remember trying this one didn't have the washers to finish it so i begged my dad to get me some for about 2 weeks straight
Saw this on WDCA channel 20 in the early 80s...the Captain 20 years! Haven't seen this in 35 years or so

There's also the spooldozer

When tv was tv
I wonder how many kids sliced their fingers open trying to make these?
We built one of these in sixth grade science class. What scientific principle we were trying to demonstrate, I do not know.
Wow!
I'm sure a lot more kids would have made these if they 'd had VCRs in the 70s. A lot of directions for a 30-second ad.
YAY!
Does anyone have the one that shows you how to make a scytale?
Is that the voice of Huckleberry Hound?
Yes! Thank you. I can die now.
Who did the VO on this?
w00t!!
