So he needs to just take the ball from Luka when their entire game plan is to give Luka the ball? It's a coaching and planning problem, not a Dinwiddie problem.

@@jakkeday1 Also elite teams have elite one on one defenders that will make Luka shot a low percentage when it's money time. Think Bucks, Celtics Warriors and potentially the Clippers if they ever get their nonsense together
It’s about keeping the defense honest and getting cheap baskets when you can. Those fast break points and even just the attempts add up and they will pay dividends eventually. Simply just trying to work half court sets tho an entire game is tough, you’ve gotta get other players involved and you’ve gotta also give Luka some help with what’s on the roster by yourself, and you do that by running your transition game and that’s what Kenny was saying, everyone in the NBA can look like an all-star in transition, so let them go and earn their own shots every time, and Luke doesn’t have to touch the ball *EVERY* possession, especially if you can generate wide open looks with the fast break game.

@@DatsjoeYT not much worse. Just barely worse teammates. They weren't soo trash like many of you think, but yeah, they are a little bit worse than these Dallas's players. But competition was also weaker in that era, especialy in the east. There weren't soo many teams that can be championship favourites and there weren't 10 guys averaging over 27 points (6 guys are averaging over 30 points this year). It that era, it never happened. I mean... If KD and Lebron were in their prime this season, both of them wouldn't win a scoring title and both of them are one of the greatest scorers of all time.
There's nothing wrong with Luka's style. Luka is like prime harden but clutch in big moments. That's a lethal combo. If harden was clutch in the playoffs he wouldve won 2-3 rings already. Luka just needs a roster that has similar talent level as the rockets a few years ago.
Mavs have the same issue with Cavs in 2018. Too Luka-centric. Also, gotta agree with Chuck. Lakers should have won this without OT had Schroder just fouled Luka the moment he got the ball. Even if he makes two, they still up 1 and Bron's just gotta hold it half-court.
on a fastbreak i think there are a couple of thing. Most of the roster in dallas can't dribble and drive for an easy layup. If you run the fastbreak and Dinwiddie or THJ get the ball is one things, but guys like Bullock, Finney Smith, Kleber are not good and they are gonna make bad plays or turn the ball(Josh green could definetely become a starter for this reason if he can be consistence from 3 and with his gamme), i would also try to give more time to Hardy (Dallas need to play more for being better in 2025 than in 2023). Said that Dallas team should try to work on that because with Luka ability to rebound and pass should be easier to make some easy point like denver does with Jokic.
totally agree. Josh green can be a big differnece maker. He is really aggressive and as long as his 3 falls he can be really good. Also Hardy has every chance to get as good as brunnson if they let him play enough

Yeah....a middling team against a trash team.....neither one good enough to hold a lead .....and one of the teams is about to get stripped down and get rid of a bunch of injury prone .....tired old heads.....probably not even one of the best games of the week.
Chuck is right on the transition plays because I couple of seasons ago Luka was serving fast break dimes. Although I disagree with him on Wood and Hardaway being shot creators. Tim can’t finish in the rim and his dribbling is suspicious. Wood is great when he is fed the ball low or in pnr but him at post passing out hasn’t been that good
You ever watched the Warriors? Ty Jerome isn't a better ball-handler than THJ but they still make him as one of their ball-handler occasionally. Not necessarily to be an assist man, but simply to bring up the ball while the others are doing some motions. Kidd should do and embrace it more to vary their approach. Luka-ball will carry them to nowhere if they really want a championship trajectory.
@@judyclarkson5887 Yep, Jkidd should develop Luka's offball movement.. Im pretty sure he has some gravity in there.. They can be fast with Luka being offball and slow with Luka onball.. I think that would be grwat... My problem is when the ball is not on Luka's hand, he would be a spot up 3pt shooter and the defender would 100% of the time wont leave him alone. JKidd should make Luka a potential decoy in plays when he's in off ball.

@@live08gta42 the round mound had speed.
this game proved to me that mavs roster isnt even that bad. the problem is they are not making the most out of all their pieces. chuck is right, the mavs need to share the ball more
Luka is doing what Lebron has been doing his entire career.. nobody is or was complaining when Lebron was doing it back then until now.. but just like lebron, Luka needs reliable shooters and other playmakers when he's on the bench to keep the team afloat..
Bro luka hits the 3’s if he didn’t lakers would win. Lebron was 0-7 from the 3 point line.
@@Sports-media180 play style in career is what i was talking about.. read
Exactly he had much worst in his earlier years in Cleveland and so on !
Yeah, but Lebron had Wade, Bosh, Kyrie, Love, Davis and great role players in Lakers, Luka still hasn't help like that, what are you talking about? 🤣🤣🤣🤣If Luka wins 4 titles with this Dallas roster, it would be like Lebron winning 6 or 7 titles.
That's why i love this show ! it's 👏🔥
"Like black people in Louiseville. Don't go throught that door" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Zzzzzz
There's nothing wrong with Luka's style. Luka is like prime harden but clutch in big moments. That's a lethal combo. If harden was clutch in the playoffs he wouldve won 2-3 rings already. Luka just needs a roster that has similar talent level as the rockets a few years ago.
Exactly, he needs a Chris Paul to his Harden. Another high level player and he will win a chip
He’s a better rebounder and and tries to create plays for other people and is top 10 in steal and top 25 in rebounding
Shaq shootings all those commercials that he forgot to review the NBA playoffs rules from the last 3 years!🤣🤣
Understated how badly the Mavs are missing Kleber, Finney-Smith, and Josh Green.
WHO???😂
@GoldenState Giants If you're a Warriors fan it's the equivalent of losing Looney, Draymond, and a Divincenzo/Iggy/Lamb type.
Yeah it's like wood is literally their only big lol
@@pickledbeatz41not an excuse it’s next man up
on a fastbreak i think there are a couple of thing.
@@byslow4563 he’s also really athletic so if he get bigger he has all the tools to being an elite defender. He also as a natural instinct for making pass.
The West all over the place this year. Just off the Warriors experience I could still see them getting to the finals but who knows the way it’s been goin.
9:08 this show is too fire yall cant handle it, the GOAT tv show
One of the best games of the year IMO
Yeah....a middling team against a trash team.....neither one good enough to hold a lead .....and one of the teams is about to get stripped down and get rid of a bunch of injury prone .....tired old heads.....probably not even one of the best games of the week.
Diversion of offense...it's diverse...flexibility...such profound and diversified insight.
Lebrons defense at 4:05 and 4:20 was outstanding 😂😂😂😂😂
😂righttt, outstandingly non-existent
And his fans have the nerve to call him the goat. 🤣
@@Wis_Dom Exactly 🤣🤣🤣
to make it worse, he had zero fouls in the game. i thought he was in foul trouble when i saw the highlights
Shaq half a sleep and chuck always sarcastically telling the truth😂
" diversion of their offence" -kenny 😂
So? Their go-to play is Luka going through a screen top of the key. They need more and that's what they're trying right now.
@@Cassius-it7wf it's his idiotic use of "diversion".
@crank fastle Lol, just because it's not usual for you, doesn't mean it's idiotic. Diversion doesn't always mean decoy.
Diversion sort of makes sense but he probably meant to say diversification.
@@Cassius-it7wf he didn't use the word he wanted to use
Ernie sounds ill, get well soon man
I thought so too. And Chuck seemed in a extra salty mood.
Dinwiddie is unreal😮
We need that from him every game, well at least almost every game lol
If dinwiddie, wood and Luka play every night like that they have the big 3 and would be unstoppable.
Heard he had the fam in a box for this game. Invite them every time!
"you want a cookie, a participation trophy?" im dead
As a lifetime Lakers' fan.... I would like to say...THAT WAS A FOUL!!!!
As a MFFL...It was a foul. This game was officiated like garbage for both sides. Take solace that Aunt Flo showed up twice on the same day to make it interesting. No unplanned pregnancy.
I would like to say that was a TRAVEL as a lakers fan.
Anyone saying it wasn’t a travel better quit watching basketball…
Kenny talking a lot without saying anything.
They should give him talk 10 seconds max. He's talking nonsense alwaya
As usual
And water is wet
And the sky is blue.
the last guys in the world still wearing ties at work
Dallas desperately needs a third ball handler to go along with a legit Center plain and simple!

That background beat though is stuck in my head 🔥🔥🔥 who’s it for ?
Thanks man, glad you like it. It's a track i made a little while back called Eye of the Eagle. It's mainly been used for highlights and such.
Agree with chucks argument
I'm just glad that I now know every player in the league can play in transition.
Top notch insite by Kenny as usual.
Half the time I don’t get what he is trying to say!
Idk this game was very strange to watch it’s like luka wasn’t scoring in the 4quarter but when he did he hit the biggest shot clutch to make OT.. den west brook hit him with a body shot luka missed both free throws .. den it’s like lakers got the most free throws but the refs didn’t make the call in the end when he got foul for the win this was crazy
Yeah Mavs let Lakers come back but I was thinking they played good game in terms of moving the ball and getting more ppl involved in the offense.
Feel better E, we need u 1pp
the one thing that amazed me. Luka had 5 fouls before the end of regulation and NO ONE tried to draw a sixth foul on him. They shouldve attacked him every chance they had smdh
Would like to point out that there's a 19 year NBA player in Miami that is not good in transition anymore. 😏
Haven't been up to watch nba in long time Luca is so fun to watch
They are 0-4 without Luka. So, that proves the point that they need Luka.
no one is saying they dont need luka. but u shouldnt use luka on every play. chuck is right
@@legorovers9838 Luka's fans can't understand such a simple proposition and always consider it an offense from Chuck to his game lol. And it's true that he can't function without the ball. He needs to learn that as well if he really wants to benefit his team, not just his stats.
@@legorovers9838 literally this when you’re too one man centric it limits your ceiling as a team

Let my boy Shaq speak
nobody can shoot for the mav except Luka and Didwiddle
They'll talk about this, but not Spida scoring 71 points?
Lakers need a rebounding and shot blocking big
Too bad they have one, just always in plain clothes. AD is such a waste.
They have one but he’s out right now. His name is Anthony Davis.
Luka has to touch the ball and the fact that Chuck said THJ can create his own shot shows that he don’t watch ball, he’s just like Skip Bayless 😂
Can someone explain to me why Denis didn’t just let Luka go to the hole when Lakers were up 3? How many nights and teams are going to fall for that?! I guess this is just today’s NBA.
Fundamentals....always protect your hole.
I blame AD for this. The amount of lay ups and dunks they had was ridiculous. We need him back in the paint
He was in street clothes.
The whole arena needs to see a call by the Lakers for the refs to give something to the Mavs.
Chuck just hated the lakers with his reactions and wants all those “calls/non calls” to be calls for Dallas 😂
Kenny saying “my rockets” like he was a franchise player at one point like chuck and shaq 🤣
Kenny’s a joke role player scrub 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
