This album feels so much different than most of his previous albums. This was definitely one of the standout tracks for me. I think this track surprised me the most. It's not what he usually does, which is also ENTIRELY like him to do. I love how he's rapping more since SHINee dropped HARD. It's so good. The spicy guitars in this make my brain so happy, OOF.
Most of the times I feel like people who shout to have the rizz are the ones who lack charisma the most. That's why Taemin did step up and showed by his song what TRUE charisma or rizzness is all about. He does know who truly who he is as artist and a man and this is what gives his the confidence! This is very you, Teddy. Lulz. The production on the drop is solid, but the track overall is not to my taste. Guilty was the only song on the album I actually enjoyed. It's kinda the issue I have with SM music in general. They've got loads of talent, but the production and song structures lean hard into experimental hip-hop/r&b genres, which isn't my cup of tea. NCT and aespa fall into that category. And Skz. I really want to like Skz. I know they're your faves, but that style of music doesn't do it for me. I can only think of a few Skz tracks I like. Taste, Red Lights, Side Effects, Back Door, Miroh, and Deep End. Yeah, that's all. Rofl. I'm more of an Ateez, Bibi, Dreamcatcher, Kard, K/da fan. Big bombastic production and bass, cinematic ost vibes, dark villain music, and dance hall/edm anthems. I prefer a focus on soaring vocals and wide production rather than rap and trap beats. I also like the synthwave stuff, hence my love of Key and why Ateez's Cyberpunk is my fave Kpop song. It checks all the boxes. Aggressive edm, dark, cinematic, melodic, lots of harmonies and vocal runs. If Skz was a better fusion of rap and what Ateez have going on, like Taste for example, I'd be all over their music. But I know a lot of stays appreciate their music for the very reasons I dislike it, so I get it. Skz make meme music and if their sound was more Taste and less God's Menu, it wouldn't be meme music anymore and wouldn't have the same audience.
Taemin's usual style isn't hip-hop tho, this might be the first very hip-hop influenced song by him, i think he wanted to experiment a bit. you can check out his Never Gonna Dance Again album, i think it represents his sound the most. it's much more similar to Guilty, dark, sensual, bassy, grand, atmospheric. Guilty actually reminded me of one of his b-sides, Shadow. it's very much his style
@@universe986 I'm a huge fan of Taemin. He's my 3rd favorite Kpop soloist behind Bibi and Key, and Black Rose is my favorite track.. Or it was until Guilty. I think it's my new fave. But yeah, I've listened to his discography. I also really love Advice, which is more on the hip-hop side. That was my pick for soty back in 2021 before Ateez dropped Turbulence at the end of the year. It's not like I can't appreciate music within a genre I'm not typically a fan of. The Leaders by Ateez is a song I shouldn't like by default, but I do because of the polish and execution. If an artist is good, they can draw you to genres you might otherwise avoid.

But I know a lot of stays appreciate their music for the very reasons I dislike it, so I get it. Skz make meme music and if their sound was more Taste and less God's Menu, it wouldn't be meme music anymore and wouldn't have the same audience.
Taemin's usual style isn't hip-hop tho, this might be the first very hip-hop influenced song by him, i think he wanted to experiment a bit. you can check out his Never Gonna Dance Again album, i think it represents his sound the most. it's much more similar to Guilty, dark, sensual, bassy, grand, atmospheric. Guilty actually reminded me of one of his b-sides, Shadow. it's very much his style
@@universe986 I'm a huge fan of Taemin. He's my 3rd favorite Kpop soloist behind Bibi and Key, and Black Rose is my favorite track.. Or it was until Guilty. I think it's my new fave. But yeah, I've listened to his discography. I also really love Advice, which is more on the hip-hop side. That was my pick for soty back in 2021 before Ateez dropped Turbulence at the end of the year. It's not like I can't appreciate music within a genre I'm not typically a fan of. The Leaders by Ateez is a song I shouldn't like by default, but I do because of the polish and execution. If an artist is good, they can draw you to genres you might otherwise avoid.
