      I've noticed in some playthroughs Sinkiang gets annexs by the KMT like all the other warlord states. Since I didn't know about the history of that area well could it be safe to say that this is the result of the German Reich decisively beating the Soviet Union in a war and before Sinkiang Joins the Comintern?

    • @shellshockedgerman3947
      @shellshockedgerman3947 7 років тому +3

      Depends on what HoI. In the earlier HoI games, its insignificant unless you choose a decision to forming the Chinese United Front earlier than historically, where it and along a bunch of other warlords will join your alliance at the cost of losing Communist China as an ally and a massive dissent hit...

    When the other Central Asian Turkic countries got their independence in the 1990s, did that encourage nationalism in Xinjiang?

    • @TPerm-hj4sf
      @TPerm-hj4sf 7 років тому +7

      David Harrison the only recent nationalism movement I heard is Taxis independence movement, USA into 2nd civil war over Trumps election, we encourage exercise of freedom by American people of all color and culture with Europe own ethnic states. E.g. German decedents, Irish decents, black, white brown, mixed all should have their own states. That is the true principle of self governing. We will encourage it, funding it, grow it, one day it will become so real.

    • @maxben3391

      Not really, Central Asians are extremely divided and don't see each other as related people often.

    • @bljones9383
      @bljones9383 5 років тому +8

      @Atilla YURT These central asian states have been independent for three decades. You are welcome to set up shop over there to preach pan-turkism. But the way I see it, it's not gonna work at all, because its fascist and revisionist and biased historical and racial interpretation.
      Nation state itself is a purely European idea that happened to be the out come of two thousand years of conquest and consolidation, and it also closely followed the geography of the land creating natural borders at bottle necks. Historically, there was no pure race or ethnic or anything like that, people moved relocated all the while getting mixed all the time. And the spread of language may run parallel to that or not. The people of central asia used to speak Indo-european languages, the Tajikis still do. The people of Turkey only have about 5-10% central asian admixture. Pan-turkism is asking these people to remember their one turkic grandpa, but forgeting that they have nine other grandpa who are not turkic.
      Even when you put aside historical revisionism. The problems are just too many. The turkic council always had a turkey pushing for a standard turkic language, but so far no work had been done what so ever, all turkey said is just adopt roman alphabet. When the chinese uyghur asked for children text book, turkey just sent their own text book straight from Turkey. What can the uyghur do, forget their own dialect of turkic, the possibly earlist recorded turkic in any sufficent volume? There goes the hope of them ever adopting a latin script, unless they get help from china, cause turkey offered no real help what so ever. Just empty words and empirial dream. Thats just one exmple, a standard dialect and supposedly the most easy problem for a pan turkic state, I mean have people of turkey even heard of fergana valley? Have they offered anything to solve the issue? Telling them they all turic brah isn't gonna do thats for sure. Real brahs fight for inheritance all the time... What is pan-tukism doing to unite them?

      +Rick K I personally hope it will be and end western dominance which i dont think will actually happen. I would rather have a government that speaks directly than one which is full of hypocrisy like they do in the west. They talk about human rights while fucking up other countries and causing death everywhere.

    • @yuddler
      @yuddler 7 років тому +3

      ***** haha yh i know they're both bad but i just cant stand the double speak they use in the media and they've exported this nonsense to their allies in the gulf and want to export it everywhere. Like imagine how annoying it is hearing CNN, FOX, BBC, al Jazeera continue to talk about human rights when they're literally bombing places everywhere and arming/funding insurgents. Its much more bearable listening to propaganda services like xinhua, RT, Press TV since their attempt to conflate the importance of their own country and the wrongs of their enemies is much simpler and their role as a propaganda channel is much more obvious.

    • @yuddler
      @yuddler 7 років тому +3

      ***** you shouldnt believe everything FOX or anti-china propaganda channels in youtube tell you like 'China Uncensored'. You're reducing a complicated comparison between 2 giant governments to an accusation of organ trafficking. You may be right but there are many flaws on both sides which need scrutinising. China's human rights problems are mostly domestic while the US has a lot to account for in foreign countries. As a non chinese who's country has been destroyed by the US, i would prefer China over the US any day of the week.

    • @yuddler
      @yuddler 7 років тому +2

      Rick K i think all political systems are flawed so i dont know which is better. I think judging a country based on its political system is stupid. Just because the US is a democracy doesnt mean it cant be evil and just because China is communist doesnt mean its always evil thats what the US wants you to think to justify invading non-democratic countries.

    Northern Xinjiang was sparsely populated steppes which were historically contested between Han Chinese and Mongols or other nomadic people.
    Uyghurs are native to Southern Xinjiang in the Tarim Basin and the Chinese government forbids any Han migration into the region. The Chinese government only encouraged Han migration into the Northern area Xinjiang which was built up by Han Chinese. Urumuqi used be referred to as a Han Chinese outpost in Xinjiang because it was mainly founded by Han Chinese and some Hui traders.
    The Chinese government in recent years have actually encouraged Uyghurs to migrate to northern Xinjiang as well, encouraging them to migrate to cities traditionally inhabited by Han and Hui.

Stop trying to justify your cultural and geographical genocide of the Uyghur people with such a lame ass excuse. Chinese didnt even conquer East Turkistan until the Tang Dynasty, which was many centuries after other nomadic empires conquered and people inhabited the areas. The Gokturks, The Xiongnu, The Sogdians, The Uyghurs, The Tartars all came before you.

      Enes Demir it doesn't matter who came there first. Russia doesn't give a shit about how they occupied the entire Far East part. Syria, Iraq, Turkey,and Iran don give a fxxk about how they split "Kurdistan". Cuz they can't survive independently as a severeign state anyway. If chinese did not take xinjiang , Russia would definitely take it . It can't be a independent nation. Even though All these central Asian countries nowadays r independent sovereign nations, that's because USSR abandoned them at 1991, they can't independent from ussr.

    • @bordoenes6217
      @bordoenes6217 7 років тому +3

      What in gods name are you talking about. You are making lame ass excuses all over the place. The very notion of "Kurds" as an ethnic people didnt even exist until early modern history, let alone the very notion of "Kurdistan". However the Turks of East Turkistan have had many empires and cultural heritage within the region for many centuries, the Uyghurs even had their own script and traditions which was so renowned among other nomads that Genghiz Khan himself wanted his empire to be run by them. If Mongolia can be independent, then East Turkistan and Tibet can be independent. Maybe if you showed a little more respect and good faith, you wouldnt need to worry about Uyghur seperatists. But what can we expect from Han Chinese who ethnically cleansed Inner Mongolia and Manchuria with the same cowardice tactics.
