All so true! I was recently traced on social media by someone I taught 36 years ago - he felt compelled to tell me the influence I had on him at that time, an influence that will now be highlighted in a television series about his teenage years in apartheid South Africa! And I didn't even know I had an influence as a first-year teacher!!
