People getting pretty bent out of shape over the price of these boots. White's isn't selling these at gun point. Everything has a value regardless of the price. Some expensive things are still a good value. White's boots are one of those things.
I own a pair of C350 cruisers and they are absolutely worth the price they charge. Yeah it took some saving on my part, but it was a great investment. Would buy again if I had to.
I fell in love with the 350 Cutter in natural CXL. Living in Canada, I didn’t have the option of being fitted and took a risk by purchasing a pair of 8 inch natural CXL Baker’s x White’s Bounty Hunters when they were 20% off on Black Friday. It took 4 months and 10 days for them to arrive from the time I ordered. I followed the White’s sizing guide and ordered 1/2 size down from my Brannock size. With Darn Tough boot socks they fit great! The break in was very mild except for the arch. Initially, it will feel like you’re standing on the rungs of a ladder. But in time it mellows out and becomes quite lovely to wear. I adore my White’s!
Nice boots. I like the look of these boots and I have been giving them a hard look. I already have a couple of pairs of Nick's so I am not wanting for boots but these really caught my eye. Thanks for the thoughtful, comprehensive review.
Just ordered my first pair of White's 350 Cruisers and they should be here in about a week or so. Can't wait to get them and thank you for all the vids. This video in particular was very helpful in making my decision.
Thanks for the detailed review. These boots were designed for cruising timber. Cruising is a sampling process to determine the value of the Timber on a tract of land. It involves recording accurate tree measurements with precision tools on sample plots. These boots would greatly expedite this process. The more plots one could take in a day the more money one could make. I cruised for years with 8" White's Smoke jumpers and did not know about this boot until recently. I currently use 10" Vibergs. The 6" height and lighter weight is very desirable. Having an air Bob sole would be perfect. Thanks again.
This info coming from a real life crusier adds to one’s appreciation of this boot. I can imagine cruisers going about their important job. Thank you for this insight.

Baker shoes used to sell this boot makeup as the 'bounty hunter'. Smoke jumper build on a semidress last. I got mine 7 years ago and I'm about ready to send them in for a rebuild. I've mainly used them for work, but they look good casual too

Just pulled the trigger on the brown roughout's 350 Cruiser for sale on Baker's site. Not my first pick for leather but the price was great and I'm open minded about them!

Those look great. Living in Europe, it would be ruinously expensive to import them, but they are very nice.
Also, they seem to wear the scuffs pretty well.
The cost of shipping shouldn't be too bad, considering that the boot itself is already ruinously expensive. A little over 600 Euro.

I got these boots in Toscanello Horsehide. I got a deal from Bakers or they would have been close to 700 dollars. Break in was much faster then my Nicks and I was the same size as my Nicks on the 55 last.
If I saw this review a year ago, I might have custom ordered this instead of the semi dress. I was down to those two choices.
If u buy thru baker shoe a similar version - bounty hunter- you can specify speed hooks. Same price. N yes twice a year they have 20% off sales. I have one in British tan. I found sizing ( width) does varies a bit from one pair to another depending on leather. I supposed cuz of hand lasted. FYI mine are 1 size down from brannock.
I own two pairs of Whites (I got my MPs after your review for them a few years back). They are by far my favorite brand and I see myself owning more pairs in the future. Cannot say enough good things about them

Great looking boots, the leather on these looks better than the cxl on your alden/viberg for some reason. Not sure if I can pull off the Cuban heel myself. I kinda feel the Iron Ranger is the most rugged boot that I can handle.
I love my black Rangers. I don't know what's next, but if also 30% off I don't care.

This one's a bit more comfortable because the toe is wider. This makes it less 'urban'/slim jeans friendly but meh
Does these run large in size? I can fit a 10 in Iron Ranger, with thin socks. I read that some people have to size a full size down on their whites. What should I do?
I love a ton of these different boots and these Cruisers specifically. But the prices on all of this stuff is wild. Maybe one day I'll be rich enough. Even the $300-ish ranges are no easy purchase for someone like me.

Why do so many boot makers build boots that are one half to one full size bigger than marked?
Isn't it weird? Like legit the majority of them do. I think at this point if you don't mis-size them people will order the wrong size because they're expecting to size down
Most comfortable last I’ve ever worn. Surprisingly little break in time. I like them more than my Viberg 2030s! Less expensive, customizable and almost as good quality.

Coming from Australia Vibergs are way cheaper as you can find them on sale and from retailers who don't charge shipping.
I was lucky to get my Whites MP from Franklin and Poe who only charged USD 50 for shipping compared to Whites and Bakers USD 125

I’ve been looking at whites and nicks boots. Really like the baker / whites bison boots on an m.p. Last. But totally confused about sizing. Whites says a half size down, bakers says one and a half size down. Custom not returnable. Any advice ?

This might be a dumb question, but what kind of socks are you wearing with your boots? Are you wearing specific socks with your Thursdays Captains compared to these? Or do most of the boots you wear work well with most socks?
How did the 11d in cruiser fit compared to red wing iron ranger? Same fit? Or was whites cruiser larger in length? Or did they fit about the same?

Cruiser’s shape are much more comfortable and in my opinion look better too. MP is quite narrow. White’s boots (even customs) go on sale 20% off at bakers boots around memorial day and Black Friday I think
Yeah like Orlog says the MP is narrower and more city-friendly, more modern looking, less work boot looking
I’m building a custom pair of whites bounty hunters through baker. Same 55 last and vibram 430. Does this boot have the standard heel lift or is this 1/4 lowered?

It seems a cap toed version of the cruiser isnt available in their website anymore? also your version seems to be not bolbous in the toe area? it looks like a sherman with a more streamlined last much like thursdays? Dear friends , I wear Iron ranger size 7.5 D( US) . What could be the size if I order from nicks ? When I checked the measuring using the Nicks guidelines I could see 9E as per the paper brannock ☺️

No I say in the video these are made with an unstructured toe, which you can request
I dunno, the logger heel throws it off for me. A dogger heel would be more appropriate, imo it's the better casual non-block heel

Nicks also does Veldtschoen, but slightly differently from White's, one shouldn't be significantly different in durability than the other
Hey Nick, have you come across any ‘zero drop’ type boots? Altras trainers are zero drop, with a wide toe box and are comfy as hell. Dono if theres anything remotely similar in the boot world…? Noticed that Da Vinci, Gaucho Ninja, Peerko and Zaqq all do something in that general direction but no experience with them yet. Liking the concept of preserving natural stride like barefoot shoes but without them looking weird! :-)

Btw, when you show the website for buying the boots it says “350 Cruiser”. Now when I open the website now, it says “C350 Cruiser” and there’s another one “The Original 350 Cruiser”. Which one is the one you’re showing? They must have changed things on the website!
The only difference is the leather. The Original 350 uses Horween leather and the C350 uses Seidel leather.

Different leather options and the C350 is machine sewn and “The Original 350 Cruiser” is hand sewn.

You can customize almost any White’s boot at Baker’s Boots online. They also go on sale :)
If you call whites and ask for a toe cap, they will give you one.
Just rub those scratches out of the magical Chromexcel leather. Just rub it vigorously with your thumb, or perhaps a light brushing with a horsehair brush….

i gave up toe caps because soft toe is just way more comfortable. What throws these off for me are the mini logger heel. these would look so much better with a dogger heel imo

Prefer the MP, the Cruiser looks more feminine with the curve of the heel at the back combined with the higher heel (high-heel)

Just want to put out a white’s boots warning out there for November 2022. I ordered a pair of boots during their Black Friday sale. They charged me. I got an email telling me the boots I ordered were discontinued even though they are advertised on their site. More significantly they said it will take 14 days to get my money back. I’m sure they’re lovely boots. BUT I’ll never know cause I’ll never buy one of their products with that kind of customer service.
Same thing happened to me, Marco...I ordered the cheaper factory stitchdown cutters and actually received an email that the boots were being shipped, then 3 days later I received an email that they were sold out and I had to wait 8 weeks....I canceled the order and had to wait like 10 business days for the credit to my card.....it made me think , they used my order to fill another for a more "important" customer.....very disappointed in their customer service

White’s doesn’t list all their options on their website, oddly enough. They definitely go larger than size 13. Give them or Baker’s a call. I’m a 14D on the Brannock device and wear a 13.5D in the White’s 55 last.

The cruiser is built by American workers and can be repaired for years to come. Boots can last from 10-30 years and you aren't supporting possible slave labor. Still super expensive but cheaper than a phone and will last a lot longer.

True, but Wolverine 1,000 mile boots are handmade in America with Horween leather from Chicago with Goodyear welts for $400.
And I can't imagine a $670 telephone, either. I'm definitely not the market these boots are meant for.

I like Nick’s but for $600-$700 I need boots that are made specifically for me, not stock boots that fit poorly out of the box.

Whites has the very worst QC. I received boots with a rough stitch down, mismatched leather pieces, and deep tool marks all over. Worst part is their customer service could care less. My gf calls them scrap leather boots. Wouldn’t recommend. 👎
