SRM has been killing it with the cross bar lock actions since the 9201 came out. The washer action on the 9201 is fantastic for such a cheap knife. Kinda cool they are playing around with some not so common steels and I find that really cool of them.
While BM is crazy with the pricing, the Bugout was built for a specific reason/customer. Someone that needs a full size knife and really wants that sub 2oz weight. When you are doing long hikes/hunts every ounce matters, over a long hike weight really adds up quickly. When my father took me on an elk hunt for my 27th bday I carried a M4 Bugout and I'm glad I did. 5 days of hellish weather and a crazy amount of walking up and down steep inclines (probably not what some would call super steep hills but I'm from Florida) I wanted to shed everything that wasn't absolutely necessary so that ultra light full size knife came in handy and it did a fantastic job when it came to dressing and skinning out the 4x3 bull i killed and when then broke the animal down and packed it out on the guides horse. Would have a 4oz knife made a huge difference? I don't know to be honest, I know on day two I took NOTHING that wasn't absolutely task necessary because I wanted no extra weight. After that first day and how incredibly tired my legs was I didn't want to carry even a extra 18650 cell for my light so yeah that 2oz or so difference in my pocket over all that walking absolutely made the Bugout the knife that I was happy to have at that time.
@EDCandLace Thank you so much for sharing that story! I also agree, that sounds like the type of environment and circumstances the bugout will excel at. Thank you for your comment!

Lol right?! That's right, the action is amazing!
Looks like a great knife! Great design with the pocket clip. Can you tell me your thoughts on the steel?

Thank you for your comment and for sharing your experience with SRM. Yes definitely a company that needs more attention in my opinion.
Nice!
Bugout is not very hard to beat😅. Ultra cheap scales at 175.00 No thanks. I prefer many other choices 👍🏻
