Mate I have had the 501 for 15 months now and was considering passing it over to a family member but then learned about all the features such as phone finder and world timer which is very handy as I travel with work. I also replaced the bracelet with a silicone brittish racing green strap whick looks absolutely awesome!!!!
Just to show you the inmpat of your video. I have the watch, a EQB 510 actually, and i stored it away for a couple of years and we moved countries. I tried in vain connecting the watch to the app again and again and could not. As you said, using it manually defeats the purpose of having a bluetooth watch. After watching you connect the watch the first time, i realised i was holding the bluetooth button down all the time, and the error message kept appearing. You press down once and let go and it connects !! Thank you so much. I now can enjoy my Bluetooth Edifice EQB 510 again !! :)
I just picked one of these up via the Internet. It was pretty rough on arrival, although working. Spent a couple of hours cleaning, polishing and brushing it. It now looks like new and it’s my new favourite watch in my collection...A fantastic watch.

Hi, I own two Toro Rosso Limited Edition watches (EQB-501TRC-1A & EQB-800TR-1A) and this review was extremely helpful to understand mostly all the functions of this magnificent piece of art. I however think you missed out on the e-mail indicator because the arm of the stop watch also indicates towards the big size dots when you receive an e-mail in your inbox which I think is quite cool feature. how do i register my email to it? i know its at alert shit options etc... but it says " wrong password or email" with every fucking email i tried with 2 gmails 2 hotmails shit with everything can you help?
Congratulations. I wholeheartedly agree with Samer \sharma. You did a brilliant job of demonstrating the EQB 500 functions. If it was not so bulky I would buy it in a flash. I am looking for a watch with all those features but a slimmer case. Well done.
Your channel is costing me a fortune. I’ve just received my second Casio watch. I purchased the EQB 501. The first watch was the G shock GA835. I’m totally smitten with these watches. Both are fantastic watches. Only joking by the way I consider it money well spent.
Absolutely great video. Minor criticism - the audio frequency response is awful - to the point it makes intelligibility difficult at times. I think a better microphone would correct it. Anyway, thanks for this - I'm going to look at one at a store to see if it's too big, I have a pretty small wrist.

Truly excellent tutorial, thanks for sharing. I'm thinking of buying an EQB-501XDB-1AMER and if I end up doing that, your video will be of great help in combination with the manual. Not sure what the main differences are between the 500 and 501 series but I'm sure most is very similar. Thanks again for putting this together 👍
I'm glad you liked the video. The main difference is that the 500 connects to your phone once a day, while the 501 does it 4 times a day

Cool, thanks for the info! One more thing I would like to ask. As for the email notify feature it looked like you can only use a number of different email providers such as Gmail and Yahoo. Can you confirm that is the case meaning you can't setup your account manually by typing in your incoming email server?
I don't think you can, but the watch was a loaner for a review so I can't check

OK, thanks. Not a big deal really but would of course be cool if you're able to use all features that come with the watch. Edited to add I just got the watch and I'm happy being able to report you can specify your own email server settings meaning you can check any email account regardless of your email provider. Other information of interest is you can add up to 5 different email accounts for the watch to check. A bit surprised although pleasantly since the Casio documentation says only a couple of predetermined email providers are supported which in other words is not correct. Guess the documentation just hasn't been updated in accordance with the latest version of the Casio Watch+ app. Thought I would share this info for anyone else having the same question.

+Martin Hawrylkiewicz if you live within the reach of the Atomic towers I would go for an atomic as it is self sufficient. The Bluetooth is great if you live outside off-the-wall coverage but you are depending on your phone for accuracy and with the speed of technological development you have to be prepared that the watch might become obsolete and not able to sync to future phones, like the first generation of Bluetooth G-Shocks that started being incompatible within 2 years of introduction. There is a third and a forth option the 3rd is a GPS watch, but those are expensive and can't receive DST settings, and the 4th are hybrids of all those together. Only Casio offers those

+Alain-Eloisa Principe the difference is the market the watch is sold at. Other than that, there is no difference. Shop Casio probably didn't write the whole name as their watch also has to have a market code. Here's a list to know which ones are for what market: ER = European market DR = SE Asia JF = Japanese market JR = Japanese market limited release CR = American market On some models, like the Rangeman there is a difference between the Japanese version JF and the others, since JF comes with a carbon fiber strap, but on most other watches there is no difference

Hi . Great video :) I bought this watch today. But i see there is one problem. In your wideo when bluetooth is working then green arrow is on bluetooth icon In my watch it is exacly opisite ( near date window ) the same with on of alarm icons . When i wan to change manualy on off arrow is moving but not on down site but betwen 12 oclock . It looks like its twisted like 180 . Can i reset all settings or maybe it is another problem ? +Jaconagrywa you need to do the home position reset for the hands as they are obviously missalinged, you have the function described in the video, look for it in the description and there you just click on the time code with that function and it will take you to that part of the video
Yes but since it does it once a day (connecting to your phone) it can take up to 24 hours unless you manually connect it. That is why there is a newer version that looks the same but connects up to 6 times a day
It's EQB-501 and it's 4 times a day, not 6, sorry about the mistake. It connects at 6:30 am and pm and 12:30 am and pm. Other than that, it's basically the same watch

Hello my friend, thank you for your good educational video. I just got the EQB501DB-2A... EQB500 syncs only once a day and EQB501 syncs 4 times a day to Casio "time server" on the internet... but you know what? My phone provider does not have very accurate time and my watch always syncs to the phone time.. I can't seem to make it sync to such "time server" on the internet.. does anyone else have a clue about it? or what is that mysterious "Accurate time system" that Casio announces on the EQB501 ?
Hi! the only difference between the 501 and the 500 is that the 501 syncs 4 times a day, but they both sync to your phone, that should be in sync with accurate time servers, HOWEVER sometimes there is a difference of a couple of seconds between your phone time and the actual atomic time, due to your location and the travel the data has to pass to get to you from the server. if this really bothers you, there are apps that can tell you the difference between your phone time by detecting this difference based on your location, HOWEVER in order for the apps to CHANGE the time on your phone so it is 100% accurate, your phone needs to be rooted, as it changes the system. Personally I wouldn't care much about a few seconds, although it is usually only fractions of a seconds :)

I already found ClockSync android app that works as you said.. now there's a good app that eliminates latency. I still wonder why Casio created module 5419 vs 5519 with 4 times a day adjustment.. it's almost as if they admit that the Bluetooth connection is frequently unsuccessful.. The reason for a 4x a day sync is that the watch will change the time zone automatically when you travel somewhere because your phone does that, so if it was only once a day, you would have to wait for the next day for your watch to automatically adjust, while like this a Max of 6 hours will pass. Their philosophy is SELF ADJUSTING, SELF CHARGING, so they want to make it as automated as possible

hlw i bought eqb-501 2 months before. then it was ok but the watch was is in dark place inside the box for 2months and now it stops at 12o clock.. nothing is happening? what should i do now? is the battery dead?
Don't worry, the battery just got exhausted. I would take it out, place it on a window sill facing outside for 3-5 days until the battery gets some juice and than it should be ok. In the future, DON'T STORE SOLAR WATCHES IN THE DARK if you plan on not wearing them for long periods of time, just leave them in a normally lit room when not worn and the battery should be ok for 20+ years

Today I bought CASIO Edifice EBQ 500. The Phone connected through bluetooth perfectly but once I disconnect the watch wont connect again to the phone. I have reinstalled that app restarted the phone cleared the watch data but still it wont connect please help me to resolve the issue.

When paired with the application on the phone, the watch automatically sets itself to the date and time set on the phone? What when I land in another time zone? Just press the bluetooth button on the watch and it will immediately receive information from phone about the current time in the new time zone?
+EfektMasy yes :) That is the great thing about these. There is a newer version that looks like this but it is a 510, not 500. That thing automatically connects 4 times during the day so theoretically you don't even have to touch it as it can be maximum of 6 hours until it corrects it's time, but if you don't want to wait, just pressing the Bluetooth button like you said will make it correct time and time zone
if you don't expose to light , say keep it in cupboard for a few days, then, it is so difficult to get it charged..manual functions not working too for me..i regret I could have simply bought a watch with a BATTERY!

Hi, i just get a eqb-510 but I'm having troubles with it. The seconds' hand is misaligning even after I correct its position. The watch has just arrived and it was in a closed box. Do you know if it can be related with low battery? Have you ever had this kind of problem with the eqb?
I have heard this twice now... Even in the newer models such as eqb900. The recalibration of the hands should make it align perfectly but guess its not working :-/
+Subhojit Roy this one syncs once per day at the time you specify, the 501 does it multiple times a day, I think up to 5 which means it is more likely to sync when you change time zones
+Sanjeet Sahu you need to have the app installed on your phone and if you paired the watch and phone ever before you need to clear both of their memories
Watch Geek when u click d Bluetooth button it usually give a beep but nothing is happening in my case, I think I did some changes but I'm not getting it
+Sanjeet Sahu I don't know, try resetting the watch, you can find the instructions in the manual on how to do it. The problem is that if you ever connected to that phone in the past re-installing the app will not help reconnecting, but you need to clear the memory of the phone of Bluetooth devices
Just got this watch from Amazon. It just will not pair with my phone. I hold down the Bluetooth pairing button and nothing happens!! The seconds hand just keeps going around the dial. Tried with 3 different phones. After two hours trying, have given up!!

It was a borrowed watch so I can't measure it, just measure the width of the lugs and order one, the length will probably fit

+Jaconagrywa you need to do the home position reset for the hands as they are obviously missalinged, you have the function described in the video, look for it in the description and there you just click on the time code with that function and it will take you to that part of the video

Yes but since it does it once a day (connecting to your phone) it can take up to 24 hours unless you manually connect it. That is why there is a newer version that looks the same but connects up to 6 times a day

It's EQB-501 and it's 4 times a day, not 6, sorry about the mistake. It connects at 6:30 am and pm and 12:30 am and pm. Other than that, it's basically the same watch

Hello my friend, thank you for your good educational video. I just got the EQB501DB-2A... EQB500 syncs only once a day and EQB501 syncs 4 times a day to Casio "time server" on the internet... but you know what? My phone provider does not have very accurate time and my watch always syncs to the phone time.. I can't seem to make it sync to such "time server" on the internet.. does anyone else have a clue about it? or what is that mysterious "Accurate time system" that Casio announces on the EQB501 ?

the only difference between the 501 and the 500 is that the 501 syncs 4 times a day, but they both sync to your phone, that should be in sync with accurate time servers, HOWEVER sometimes there is a difference of a couple of seconds between your phone time and the actual atomic time, due to your location and the travel the data has to pass to get to you from the server.
if this really bothers you, there are apps that can tell you the difference between your phone time by detecting this difference based on your location, HOWEVER in order for the apps to CHANGE the time on your phone so it is 100% accurate, your phone needs to be rooted, as it changes the system.
Personally I wouldn't care much about a few seconds, although it is usually only fractions of a seconds :)
Thank you for such a fast response and complete answer. I guess I expected wave ceptor accuracy or some good algorithm that counteract latency.. I already found ClockSync android app that works as you said.. now there's a good app that eliminates latency.
I still wonder why Casio created module 5419 vs 5519 with 4 times a day adjustment.. it's almost as if they admit that the Bluetooth connection is frequently unsuccessful..

The reason for a 4x a day sync is that the watch will change the time zone automatically when you travel somewhere because your phone does that, so if it was only once a day, you would have to wait for the next day for your watch to automatically adjust, while like this a Max of 6 hours will pass.
Their philosophy is SELF ADJUSTING, SELF CHARGING, so they want to make it as automated as possible

hlw i bought eqb-501 2 months before. then it was ok but the watch was is in dark place inside the box for 2months and now it stops at 12o clock.. nothing is happening? what should i do now? is the battery dead?
Don't worry, the battery just got exhausted. I would take it out, place it on a window sill facing outside for 3-5 days until the battery gets some juice and than it should be ok.
In the future, DON'T STORE SOLAR WATCHES IN THE DARK if you plan on not wearing them for long periods of time, just leave them in a normally lit room when not worn and the battery should be ok for 20+ years

Don't put it directly into sunshine, just facing outside but not directly facing sun, that way you get almost full charging while avoiding overheating

That is the great thing about these. There is a newer version that looks like this but it is a 510, not 500. That thing automatically connects 4 times during the day so theoretically you don't even have to touch it as it can be maximum of 6 hours until it corrects it's time, but if you don't want to wait, just pressing the Bluetooth button like you said will make it correct time and time zone

Hi, i just get a eqb-510 but I'm having troubles with it. The seconds' hand is misaligning even after I correct its position. The watch has just arrived and it was in a closed box. Do you know if it can be related with low battery? Have you ever had this kind of problem with the eqb?
I have heard this twice now... Even in the newer models such as eqb900. The recalibration of the hands should make it align perfectly but guess its not working :-/

The problem is that if you ever connected to that phone in the past re-installing the app will not help reconnecting, but you need to clear the memory of the phone of Bluetooth devices

Just got this watch from Amazon. It just will not pair with my phone. I hold down the Bluetooth pairing button and nothing happens!! The seconds hand just keeps going around the dial. Tried with 3 different phones. After two hours trying, have given up!!
Problem sorted. The watch has to be in calendar mode to be able to pair with phone. I never saw this explained anywhere.
