- This is part of my mountain biking caravan adventure around the South Island of NZ. Glendhu Bay was the first place on our list to stay and we have stayed the longest at this magical destination. Bike Glendhu is only 1km from the camp ground we are staying at.

Bike Glendhu is the best, such a fun place to ride.
If you want to session the tracks from Falcon's nest you can ride up the can-am track.
It's steep, so good for ebikes. It takes a quarter of the amount of time and has no downhill sections so you save battery.
That is true. Did that once when I left my back pack at the top.
You sound like a kid in a candy store. Love Glendu, can’t wait to go back.
Really enjoying your videos. Liked and subscribed! 😛
Thanks, I'm glad to have you on the team.
Wow what a view.
Sick trails!
Tsk tsk, riding through the shop/cafe area. 😀 Glendhu is still my favourite place to ride I think.
Was I not supposed to do that? I have done that every time I have gone there.
I love your commentary, you really honest about your ability and you have fun. My son works at Bike Glendhu (that may have been him you spoke to, hard to see), it a bit of a trip from Napier, but one day!! Keep it up Lance.
I have ridden there 4 times now and simply love the whole experience.
C'mon Lance you can't beat Woodhill on a cold and miserably wet winters day! 🥶
Yes you are right you can't beat that.😄
Hairtime….ride of a lifetime
Awesome campsite
Hare time is an awesome run.
Hi Lance, great southern footage as usual. For an ebiker is there enough trails at Glendhu to do two full days down there or is one day enough to cover most?
To be honest, one good day will cover most of the trails. If you rode two days, you would be repeating trails, especially as there is only really one route up. If you like sessioning jump trails then two days would be great.
Awesome video Lance and I’m glad you didn’t leave your bag behind this time. Because sorry you definitely are not going to hear me from all the way from west Auckland down to the South Island lol . Far out that jump looks massive on video and I’m sure it’s bigger in real life. So looking forward to seeing you both on the next adventure 😊
The wind was up the next day so never saw anyone do it. They did a smaller one.
Its like a different planet NZ an amazing experience
The South Island feels like a completely different country to the North Island.
Amazing lance, so glad you shared!
I wish I had the skills to tackle those tracks. Looks fun as. All of you MTB YTbers make them look easy
As you said, it is a skill, and skills can be acquired over time. I have seen so many people take up mountain biking. Some people never get good at it, while others get amazingly good. The second group actively pursued developing their skills. Keep going. You can do it.
@@bestdayevermtb2 thanks for the encouraging words Lance. I just started mtb'ing for the first time in my life at 37, and it's a lot harder than I expected. But I'm determined to get good.. well, good enough to enjoy the NZ trails 😁
@stevePDx If it's any consolation, I probably started at 37 and have developed my skills since then. You are young. Ten years from now, you could be very proficient.
You should go to summerhill and ride the new trail
Awesome video Lance! Such an amazing spot. That jump to flat on Dark Matter does suck. I tasted the rock below it. 😳
Yes I saw that. It just doesn't really work.
@@bestdayevermtb2 Yeah, maybe if carried more speed I would have been ok but never mind. 😁🫶🙌🙌
@@EMTBNZ Even if you go fast it is a flat landing.
@@bestdayevermtb2 Yeah I will skip it next time if I go back there. 🤣👍
So jealous as never stops raining here in uk at moment! Great video tho 👌
It better not rain when I get there later this year.
Ha good luck with that Lance, I’m off to Spain (Ainsa) next week to get some riding in,can’t wait.
That’s a grade 3 where I come from
You sound like Homer Simpson when you do that 😂
