No doubt, to march, for Dr.Greggs,it was just Priceless. This was my junior year, at S.U..... nothing but pure Manifestation. Squad 6 Screeming Demons. Remember this show very well. I was 19, now 51....I can't wait for Alumni Day.....Go Jags....
The New Band needs to see shows like this because in the early 90's we never lacked crowd noise and crowd appreciation.Just listen to the crowd the tape doesnt lie and oh by the way did it with 128 on the field 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿Back when we had Energy for days
@Micah the Nerd Saxophonist I remember my first bayou classic was in 1975. The band was ridiculously entertaining and that crowd went berserk. Never seen anything like that performance or the crazy crowd. Fond memories 🔥
Steel Reign yeah I agree these new directors put more into battles than halftime shows these days. Back in the day su halftime performances were so entertaining.
My senior year with the Juke. Mom and dad surprised me by attending this game up in Atlanta. This video brought back a very special moment. THANK YOU Tapemaster for uploading this one. Jukebox for life.
They can bring every show they have done in the past, it still wouldn't be performed like the '80s and 90's the kids nowadays cant plays and they lack discipline they cry about everything, and its hard to compete with social media until I start seeing them bald heads again in the SWAC these shows will forever be basic, it use to be a privilege to play now these kids think they are needed the kids are soft and the directors are lazy.
I wish they would do halftime shows like this again. Todays bands put more effort into stand battles I was told because the younger generation prefer that. Well I'm ole skool and I want my fieldshows back. Btw I must say that the dolls did up they're game 100 because they dance to the death these days.
The fans at this game were AMAZING!!! Is it just me, or are the crowds nowadays not as excited about HBCU halftime shows as they were in the 90s? Are the bands not as exciting as they once were? Or are the fans not as excited as they once were?
Didn’t have the internet then so if you wanted to see those bands you had to catch a game....now ppl just wait for an upload to UA-cam.....I still go to games and most of the ppl there don’t even be engaged or be into it....the 80’s and the 90’s and early 2000’s was the last of this....ppl cared and supported now they could care less
UA-cam and all the other stuff on the smart phone kills the hype we had back in the days. There’s still nothing like a live show. People are in awe when they do, it’s also the fact that they most likely saw the show already in UA-cam. We could’ve done about 4 shows for the year and mix them up. Now, bands would have to do more to get hype from the crowed. Awesome job SU! FAMU M100, Fall 96
@@nasaint2982 I'll never forget my 9th grade year when my friend invited me to go to my first MAJOR D1 HBCU football game in Atlanta between Southern and Tennessee State. Southern's band killed it at halftime and TSU killed it in the stands. I sat in the section beside TSU's band and it was like a nonstop party. That was the most exciting event I had ever been to until that time. I went back several years later and it felt like much of the life had ended. Somewhat dull. 😩
@@Neko2023 I've noticed that with smartphones people are more preoccupied and not as engaged. Its sad that we have allowed technology to steal our attention.
Mike Harris these kids don’t have the same drive and passion too. I saw a band member on his cell phone during a game. Really? Brah, are you sure TSU “killed it” in the stands or are you just being nice? LOL

It was truly a BLESSING to see this live @ Bobby Dobb stadium. It was my 1st time laying eyes on the GREATEST Band in the land!!

No social media, people actually went to games to be entertained..

Much respect for the Jukebox.
This was great!!! The energy can be felt through the screen. No gimmicks just showmanship! Bring Back The Juke & Dolls!
Attention SU band directors:Please bring back shows like this.

I love love love the precision drill
Wish they still exit field like that at the very end

Why was the other band jumping up and down in the beginning? lol
What’s the name of the song they play during the circle drill?
I think it’s love
Why was Doc mad at the beginning around :55?
Just the dumbest cameramen ever. Why get right in the middle of the band and dancing dolls when you don't know where they're going???
In is cut up the chicken is cut and you email it to
Who they played this game?
Lol..5yrs later did this same drill at the Bayou classic....🍵 that's non of my biznss
you a lie because they spelled out NBC not coke
Sure did.........And it STILL got HOUSE.....
dperfect28 or could it be that ur a hater?
@@rodneyplayer5483 At the end looked like Doc. wanted them off the filed and the spirit of the band just took over and did their thing. SU killed it.
Back then you could slide with doing it because there was no UA-cam. Good luck with recycling shxt now. People will be all over it.
