The guide states to use a 13mm socket for the left and right adjustments - on my bike a 15mm deep socket was required.

at 2:10 they say to be sure to keep the axle seated forward against the axle adjustors. I am not following this, what do they mean here please?

where are the lift points on the bottom of the bike?

Lift under the engine - I used the rear part of the engine with a flat scissor lift. Front wheel clamped, stand down to provide more room. Slide jack in from left side of bike - on left side avoid the stand stop and exhaust, on right side avoid pipes

If you go to 1:10 in the video, at the top right of the screen you see the jack touching what I believe to be the rear swing arm point. Am I correct in saying that this is the rear swing arm? IF this is the case then the back of the jack can go there and the front part of the jack can touch the engine case as you recommend but will probably have to use some wood blocks or hockey pucks to help avoid delicate crushable pats. Thoughts?

@dsmith584 @dsmith584 you just want the jack to touch just the engine case and nothing else. I used a platform scissor jack that was too large to fit right under the engine like the video shows so I had to find a spot the jack could lift from without getting anywhere near anything that might be damaged. In your owners manual there is a "elevating the motorcycle" which makes clear that the lift must be against the engine crankcase.

I saw the section in the manual that you referred to. It states the lift surface on the jack to be 12" square minimum. Mine is 14" x 9". Wondering if 9" is not wide enough.

@@dsmith584 I don't think you could get a pad that big under the engine without it pushing on something it shouldn't be
