I'm currently building the eduard 1/48 Bell X-1, and could I ask if you put any type of weight in front or middle of plane to sit level? Thank for video, Very Helpful
Hi, as I remember, yes, I put some weight in the nose, under the pilot seat, if I remember correctly. I don't remember the exact amount of weight. 20-30gr I think is enough.
A superb build, love the chipping on the leading edges of the wings in particular. I have a quick question...after putting the pigment powder on the wheels do you spray it with something to stop it being rubbed off again? Thanks for posting 👍🙂
Hi Giotto, no, i spray nothing in order to fix the pigmets. You do not touch the wheels after the model it is finished, but if you want to fix them anyway you can apply the pigments right after you apply the matt varnish when it is still wet and the pigments will remain in the final layer of the matt varnish. Also you can mix pigments with matt varnish and apply them with a brush.
@@AGScaleWorks brilliant, thank you. This model arrived with me today so I'm going to follow what you've done and see how I get on. Thank you for the advice about pigment powders.

Superb job! What was the consistency of paint used for chipping by brush? Diluted or straight form bottle?
20-30% water and don't load the brush too much.
