No one can come closer to great Sabri bros.
they are still the best.
This ghazal has kept me company in some of my worst times.
I had this terrible accident and was bed ridden for months. This was the only music I could listen to back then. Everything else seemed too mundane.
I bought the UNESCO long play album in the early eighties in Mexico City and I fell in love with this piece. I can't play the record anymore so I appreciate it has been uploaded.

I think this CD was their greatest recorded achievement.
But unfortunately two items in this record were incomplete. I wish UNESCO will release the complete recording

what a qawali; in 2014 to put this performance all alone in my blood, I exerted so much I got a heart attack; may be there would be other reasons too. I claim myself as Master of Nusrat Replication and on that count no one in the world come even close to me; I am genuinely confident ; but why Sabris did not produce more songs to this standard. I say I have mastered so far only two songs from Sabris Brother and this could be now third, that I did not touch after my heart attack; compared to more than 100 by Nusrat including their Sargams and Ragas. Why these Brothers reduced their standards- may be level of public to enjoy this was not with them. Any way I live in Himalayas of India and now a days there is honeysuckle on the morning breeze, when after more than 6 years I listened to this song I felt honeysuckle on the rhythm.
The whole stupid world has gone into madness and into a music that carries no sense as music And I would say for heavenly pleasures the whole world is divided into two parts; one those who could listen to few songs by Sabris, few songs by Bahauddin and about more than by Nusrat; and others who did not. It is shame on Pakistan more than 99 percent of its people do not know who was Bahauddin. I paid homage to his small apartment in Hyderabad so long he was in India now lying with in the estate of brother of my dear friend Zahid. Sabri Brothers peak was 1960s and 1970s wherein media is not active as like in late 1980s when nusrat peak started. Thats why many of their data is not available. But I suggest you to listen khurshid e risalat, taiba ke liye ankh lagi etc all these are recordings of late 60s and early 70s with young and fresh voices of Sabri Brothers.

Mr Rizwan, when you wrote aa ja ve mahi, in this context of originality of music, I have lot to clarify between Nusraat Vs Indian film songs as well as Nusrat vs Bahauddin , as my research went deep in subcontinental music; can you write your phone , and I will call you to know more from you. As for Sabris are conconcered what they did at Amsterdam in diversity of Bhairavi has no parallel in the entire history of world music

Honesty speaking you might differ with me, it is not about media or public but pure quality standards that song speaks itself; may be my parameters to assess quality are different from the tastes of others who might be preferring to love Sabris more than Nusrat. But I am neither Pakistani nor Muslim but man with dispassionate judgment; However I believe this standard of music will not be produced for next 1000 years .Nephews of Nusrat did not work hard and the shrieking voice of goat man is shame; every day he sends a video to me to which I am not interested; however every any Pakistani music artist is welcome to see me in Shimla
Yes our judgment is not final and i will not impose my feelings & thinking on others because it is extremism. But fact is that Sabri are the first to introduce qawwali in west & Nusrat came after 10 to 15 years of Sabris what nusrat has done was earlier done by sabris in 75 in kalm aja awe mahi. But at tht time public/generation didnot like it.
