Thanks for sharing. I purchased Ocean Spray whole-berry cranberry sauce to make similar salad at Thanksgiving and the two cans had only few berries in each. I remember the same thing happening last year when I made the same recipe. I don't think there were over ten berries per can.

I never was one for this salad but the kids loved it.
I've made this Cranberry Jello before and I put it in the mini cup cake cups. I also add very small slices of apple in it. We love it.

This looks good. I won’t tell anyone about the cranberry sauce unless they ask. I love it but some won’t even taste it if they know. Good to know about the brand of cranberries too. I notice recently many store brands are not what they once were on some stores. It's important to only get Ocean Spray brand for whole cranberry sauce so we aren't ripped off on the number of berries in it! Or buy fresh berries and make your own! It's real easy to make it!

I heard recently to only use Ocean Spray Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce not off brands for recipes. A woman on Facebook & You Tube also told she bought store brand Pineapple & regretted not being appealing. She said only a name brand next time.
From the UK - How is this served as part of your meal? Is it a dessert to be had with cream or as a fruit 'sauce' meat accompaniment on your main meal? I've heard of congealed salads but have never seen a recipe for one before. That Aldi whole cranberry sauce was a but of a swizz wasn't it?
It can be used either way you want
I don't use Aldi pineapple. I used one can one time and it was tough and chewy and not sweet at all. I almost think it was the core.

you may have bought the item at Aldi's but it is NOT Aldi's brand. Please be careful what you say when you tell people not to buy Aldi's cranberry sauce. You bought the cheap Sweet Harvest Brand. But his salad is great. I used to eat this years ago but I lost the recipe. Thank you!!!
