Have solace in that the 7th element video you are talking about didn't go viral until 2015. The video is from 2001 and he's had insane acclaim in russia and china among other nations. He's toured in America a few times as well. The video going viral is only good for him and led me and many others to a great appreciation and fandom for Vitas! Such a wonderful and characteristically odd rabbit hole to start a journey on!

I've been listening to Vitas for years, never get tired of his voice and the "strange" things he adds to his songs. I've not heard a song that I didnt like. I wish I knew Russian so I can understand what they are about, his videos help my imagination go wild with what he could be saying.
