As someone from Lahore city, I must clear this misunderstanding that DHA is not the only elite rich neighborhood in Lahore, there are way more expensive real estate neighborhoods in the city like Model Town, Gulberg 2, Garden Town, Lake City, Canal View, Tech Society, Muslim Town, Cantonment etc The lifestyle in DHA might be better than other neighborhoods but its not the most expensive property area.

they are expensive due to their commercial usage. she focused on residential area. and if purely residential area then DHA is most expensive and better. suppose main roads of DHA can use at commercial. what will be price???

Infact DHA is only a name. People think its all that but its definitely not. I purchased a plot 25 years ago but did not construct it as l didnt like the social circle there and the middle high class kids who think they're a law unto themselves. It didnt feel safe and there are many anti social incidents there... It may look classy but its not. I prefer the town of Model Town with its old beautiful mansions that are full of character lined by ancient old trees and a lovely quiet and peaceful area.. My sons grandparents have a beautiful one in A block and it's so beautiful and huge and full of character. Other than that Cantonment is a great area too as it is by the airport and Army barracks so very high security so very safe for families.

Please get your mathematics right before you "put things into perspective". 150 million Pakiatani rupees mean around 4 million pounds, NOT 400,000 as you put it.

One of my dad's very good friends' dad, opened a cinema here, in 1949. He called it "Liberty Cinema" It was a very famous place for ppl to come. Later on a market was made next to it, and they also gave it the name Liberty Market.

Lahore WAS a great city. Now it’s the “world’s most polluted“ city. You can hardly breathe and the traffic is horrible. So many rich people but there is no shortage of the poor people who can’t afford basic necessities of life for themselves or their families. The wealth gap between the rich and poor is huge.

Hard fact: Pakistan Army officers established DHAs for the Elite and their family members and Pakistan Army treats its own citizens as 3rd class citizens.
